I've had a few requests over the past couple of days asking how many of us there are cruising so I thought I would share it with everyone.

As of today my spreadsheet is showing 44 cabins and 110 cruisers. Of course I know that there are some who are cruisng with us who aren't on the list yet. Now would be a great time to get yourself added!

This years theme is Celebrating Magical Milestones so tell us about your first time at each of the following that apply (including how old you were, who you were with, where you stayed and best memory of that trip).

1. Disneyland - Nick & I have never been there but Jeff has. I don't know exactly when though.

2. Walt Disney World - For me it was 6 months after Disney World opened, I was 3 yrs old and we stayed at the Polynesian.
Jeff's first trip was for our honeymoon in 1991, he was 25 yrs old.
Nick's first trip was when I was pregnant in 1995, but his first "real" trip was in Sept. 1995 when he was 8 months old and has been at least once every year since then.

3. Disney Vacation Club (first stay as a member) - After years of "tagging" along with my parents to stay at DVC we bought into BWV in 2000 and did our first trip as a Family sans Mom & Dad in June of that year right after school ended for Nick.

4. Disney Cruise Line - Our first Disney cruise was extra special for several resons. 1. It was our first cruise ever 2. It was SSMC05 and last but not least 3. We cruised with my parents and my new extended family that we met on the DIS.
I think we are spoiled now and I don't know if I can cruise on any other ship!

5. Tokyo Disneyland - Unfortunately we have never been

6. Disneyland Paris - Unfortunately we have never been

7. Hong Kong Disneyland - Unfortunately we have never been

AWESOME! How does that compare to last year Mary?

Ok I busted Diana for this so I have to bust you too. How did you manage to sail already when we still have 6 weeks to go. :)

Actually down from last year. Last year we had 73 rooms and 205 cruisers. A couple of reasons I think. 1 - time of year and cost had some people drop out and 2 - like I said in an earlier post I know that there are some cruising with us who haven't signed up for whatever reason.

We were also at Hilton Head in July, 2003. We were there the 2nd week of July that year. What week were you there? Was it the same week?

Third week

Ok let me go back and edit that.
My mind is in many different places right now.
Jeff is packing because he is going to be gone all week so I have to remember to do things he normally does, I still have to run out to Officemax to get Nick a lock for his gym locker and ink so I can start working on my magnets plus I still need to call Disney for one more dinner ADR.

Oh and I almost forgot Nick has an orthodontist appt this week, we have a meeting at school about the camping trip next week plus we have our first scout meeting this week and fall camporee in 2 weeks.
Needless to say my mind is in many places right now.
:faint:

Last year we called the cruise the TZ (or twilight zone) cruise because of all the things we had in common. Like the fact that we had Ann Marie and Tom and Annmarie and Tom who both had BCV in their screen names.

This year it is kind of like the "near miss" cruise. Cindy and I found out that we had both see David Hartman do the Candlelight Processional and wonder if we were there together. Then Cindy and Roxann with their 2003 HH visit. Plus the other day I was looking at one of my old threads for the 2004 10 day cruise and found that Roxann had put a hold on a room for that cruise but never went through with the booking. I wonder how many other times we've been at the parks etc. together but just never knew it.

Sounds like a typical school week here. It definately makes me appreciate summer all the more. ::yes::

Cameron had his ortho appointment last week. Full braces are on the horizon -- slated right now for March/April. Estimates are $4000/$4500. I'm glad that we at least have the benefit of putting the $$'s into the flex spending account for next year.

Walker's initial consultation is the week after next. If he's ready to proceed, something tells me next year is going to be a very expensive one for my kids mouths. :scared:

Soccer today, Boy Scouts today, Boy Scouts tomorrow, SCORE for Walker tomorrow, Tuesday Mom's night out :teeth: , Soccer for Walker, Wednesday Cub Scout parent meeting, Market Day pickup Thursday, Soccer Friday, Walker has Adventure Guides recruitment later Friday, eye doctor for me Saturday, Soccer game & practice next Sunday. :faint: :faint: :faint:

Those 6 weeks leading up to the cruise are going to be so busy we won't have time to wait.

Yikes on the possible ortho bills. Knock on wood since Jeff and I are both state workers and are in different unions, 9 times out of 10 we pay zero out of pocket for dentist & ortho.
You want to hear something funny. Reading your schedule reminded me we have a 50th wedding anniversary and suprise 40th birthday party to go to on the 23rd. The worst part is they are at the same time so we will be making an apperance at one then heading over to the next party. Luckily they are only about 5 miles from each other!

We went on a 3 day cruise in Oct. 2003 and stayed @ OKW for the first time afterwards. We were thinking of the 10 day holiday cruise and the prices were so high by that time that we did not go. We did go to WDW for the holidays in 2004. We are booked for Christmas 2007 and are definately going!!! It will be our 20th Anniversary and my parents will be celebrating their 45th. Anyone sailing with us?

sorry if this has been written about but i was thinking about shore excursiions for this cruise, went on cruise line site and found an option for two day tube and float rental at a good price, but when i tried to prebook oct 23 and oct 25 there was no code c-15, well i sent off a contact us e-mail to dcl a nice cm responded that this was not available for this cruise and i could prebook either one or both, when i try to book both the tick box will only accept one day, most times this kind of thing doesn't bother me, but can anyone think of a reasonable explanation (please don't label me as an entitlement member) why, if our cruise is scheduled to stop at cc twice, the two day pricing for tube and float would not be available

callnamegrumpy - HI! I think several of us have tried to use the two day rental option and for some reason DVC or DCL has decided it is not available to us during the cruise. Let's hope they change their mind as I know some of us would like to take advantage of the savings!

Hi callnamegrumpy - nice to see you again.

Not sure why DCL doesn't have the options up for this. I'm thinking because those were put in place for the regular double dip cruises and this is a charter. As Julie said many are hoping it will be offered to us as well.

Looked back at the info from the 2003 cruise (since we went to CC twice then). In the January 23rd newsletter we got it offered the book one day get the second free. That was just 10 days before the cruise sailed. So maybe in DVC's mind they have time.

:scratchinMust make the magnets!!!:scratchin

I printed the first two magnets today. Have also decided to post the "contest" magnet and get a challenge winner BEFORE the cruise.

Anyone planning on being in DVC chat tonight? I'm helping out with host duties again and would love to see some of you there!

I was just glad he was crossing over becasue at one point he said he didn't want to do Boy Scouts.

With the weekend going by so fast I haven't been able to comment on the pic.

AWSOME. As was said earlier, you can see the pride in the your face as Nick took on his khakis. The troop that I was in didn't have a crossover. So I'm jealous. Good job for Nick and YOU to get him this far. Keep driving NICK!!
