When you all agree on where you are meeting can someone make sure I get the time and place. I want to put it in the navigator for everyone!

Thanks!

I'm all for this one as long as there's alcohol in it and you drink the whole Konk Kooler or comparable grog yourself. :drinking1

Now, don't you hope someone gets it.

Now you know my GROG of choice is NA

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick check in.

I saw the surgeon today and if my ct scan comes up normal, and that I can use the hospital that the surgeon uses I will be going in for the laproscopic surgery on Friday.

Pixie dust Cheryl that this all goes well!

I didn't mean it like that. Sorry Karen. You are loved here  and we will miss you on the cruise.

That's what I get for following 2 threads at once. I'm causing some havoc on the planning board with people parking at BCV or BWV and walking to Epcot. :stir:

What is there something wrong with that :rotfl2: gotta love it!

Ok, maybe I missed something, but I thought that we were going to be meeting over by the Liberty Bell, since most people were eating dinner at LBT. I don't really want to drag my girls to the front of the park, when all they want to do is go trick-or-treating. ;) I hope that y'all will forgive me, but if we are meeting at the flag pole by Roy, then we're going to have to skip the meet. :guilty: There's no way that I can convince my girls to go the opposite way of the candy. Actually, it's not so much both girls, but Emily. That (almost) 5yr old has a mind of her own. :confused3

ok - edited to add - I just realized that my statement above sounds a little harsh. I didn't mean it that way at all. It's just that it's going to be hard enough to meet everyone with my girls at the MNSSHP anyway, because all they are going to want to do is trick-or-treat (since the've done MNSSHP every year since they were born, so they know the routine). They aren't going to want to "meet" with any adults anyway. Sorry for sounding harsh, I really didn't mean too.

We're back and had a great time. The 8-day cruise turned into an 8 1/2 day when we had to turn back to St. Thomas for two medical emergencies. We didn't get to the NY port until 3:30pm Sunday. Just glad I wasn't traveling for business this week, since we didn't get home until 7:30pm.

I did things I never thought I would do before. I sung karaoke, not one, but three times! The first time I was so nervous, but after that it was such a rush. People who go to karaoke are so cool, fun and supportive. The only time I heard boos was when this one woman did a really, really, really bad version of [i[Material Girl[/i]

I also entered the hairy chest contest. I still don't believe I did that. I thought I had a chance, but there were some guys that should have been classified as primates.

It was interesting to compare the Carnival Legend to Disney. I found the service just as good. We had a great wait staff and cabin steward. The ship is a bit more flashy than DCL and I appreciated the non-smoking on DCL, since there were lounges we avoided because of the smoke.

Food: The food was excellent, however, there weren't enough non-meat/non-shellfish choices. Many of the fish choices had some elements of shellfish in them. DCL has more choices, including separate vegetarian and lighter fare sections. The one thing I did love was the 24-hour soft serve ice cream and frozen yogurt machines and pizza station.

Shows: I'm used to the DCL production style shows. The Carnival shows were okay, but DCL is clearly better in my view.

Staterooms: The balcony rooms are about the same size. Carnival has really, really, comfortable beds. I guess they are known for them. Not having the split bathrooom didn't seem to be as much of a hinderance as I expected.

Out friends were first time cruisers and they enjoyed them selves too. As a matter of fact, Pearl was the first one to do karaoke.

Now the trick is - how do I keep this tan for five more weeks until I cruise again?

And who wants to fill me in on what I missed in the last 152 pages? :rotfl:
Nice to hear the review on Carnival and the comparison to Disney. DD's dance troupe has been asked to perform on a Carnival cruise in May, and we have decided to go too. I was afraid it would be a big let down after DCL, but now I'm more optimistic. Thanks, Sandy!

So did you get tickets????

Section 218 Row D Seats 17&18, Karen darn near had a heart attack when the confirmation came through. But WE'RE GOING to Game 1!

Since no one said it was necessarily a Disney movie, I'll make my guess:

The Goonies

Thanks Karen. Where do you find these rather violent smileys? :confused3 I thought we were only supposed to use the ones provided. I know one thing, Iwon't mess with you as far as smileys go.

Not that I know of. Other people use non-DIS smileys all the time. My husband's best friend, Pete Werner, hasn't said I couldn't use them (I threw that last line in for Mary!!!!) :lmao:

Anyway, the smileys come from a place called bestsmileys.com HTH

I used to buy N/A for my dad for when he'd come to visit. Always cracked me up that they'd card me. Uh....it's NON-alcoholic. :)

actually, isn't there a very very very small amount of alcohol in it??? enough to give you a slight buzz if you drank an entire keg of it?

Copper3 said:
Yep, it sure does help the post count! :thumbsup2

The worst I do is :stir: up trouble on other threads. The one I currently am working on is about whether you can park at BC or BW while not staying there. The answer is yes because of the valet parking which I will take full advantage of before the cruise. :thumbsup2 .

I am usually the class :clown: but have been called  by some and :hippie: by others. I like to think of myself as a :joker: but not a :jester: . I try not to get  at anything but if things make me :furious: I turn into :darth: then my enemies must :duck: or they will get a :headache: .

Gary, I couldn't find much better than this to respond with, there really isn't much attacking smileys to choose from.

Nice job Jeff ::yes::

You've raised the bar :thumbsup2

It was worth a try. Maybe I could interest you in a Kungaloosh from the Adventurer's Club. :teeth:

Seriously, I admire that you don't consume alcohol. :thumbsup2

Do they even make a non-alcoholic Konk Kooler? :confused3

Happy pirate: day!

Congrats on scoring tickets. We made it to a cubs playoff game a few years ago and had a blast.
today's guess is....Dick Tracy

btw my real name is:
Genie
:genie:

Amy, I can totally understand. In fact.....

The night of MNSSHP is the only time we're spending in the parks pre & post cruise. So, I could very easily see my boys saying dinner is enough -- they want to do the rides.

So, at this point, Sandy, if you could change me to a maybe, I'd really appreciate it. Not that I don't want to see anyone again, it's just that park time for us this trip is a premium.

I did know that when I mentioned that above. I figured my next offer would be inhaled...Donuts for The Man! We could give you donuts. I know you wouldn't miss that opportunity. It goes with the job.
:thumbsup2
