While I am in a posting frame of mind I remind all and one that Karen and I will have our door sign on Cabin #7623. The first person to correctly identify the movie that the capture is from will receive a Konk Cooler. (or similarly priced :drinking1 libation of their choice on us)

That drink will be mine Baby!! :drinking1
I love a challenge and I hate to lose!! :furious:

One more question about the DVC Block Party since I'm traveling with friends and not my family. Do they ask for their room keys or anything to prove they are with me or can I pick up a hot guy in the parking lot and bring him along too? :lmao:

Wow I guess you REALLY mean to PARTY!!!!!!
Take pictures so we can drool!!! :lmao: :rotfl:

Forgot to update that our waitlist for BCV came through for 10/21 so we'll be staying there pre cruise (all the better to bribe the luggage guys at the yacht club to keep the extra bag or two). We are looking forward to the pre cruise meet at BCV - lol and Stacy and I have a plan that may involve some wedding welcome bag stuffing
wink.gif

I'm there for you! :thumbsup2
Bag stuffing and delivering why would I want to do anything else at a pre-cruise mini meet! :confused3 :teeth:

You guys have chosen the BEST cruise to take for your

party: FIRST DISNEY CRUISE party:

Thank you so much!!!
It really will be a special cruise for us. Not only is it our first cruise of any kind, but it is the first trip for DH and I without kids in 15 years! We are celebrating our 20th anniversary (which was in May).
I am sure we will be hooked and want to book a cruise with the kids and my mom after the member cruise!

We went home at lunchtime and...

:rockband:

We got a message from DVC. :wizard: They are holding a cabin for us (6070)! :Pinkbounc Thanks to all for the Pixie Dust!

Now we've got to see if work will let us go...

Will let you know how we make out!

Q - Has anyone heard IF there will be any special activities prior to the cruise, like the Pirate Scavenger Hunt last year? If we have to buy airline tickets, we'll need to take that into consideration. Thanks!

Congrats on the waitlist coming thru!!!

I meant to post this earlier, but I got all caught up in posting about drinking and hot guys.

The Mickey Crocs!! How cute are this going to look on my Shrek Feet??

Diana - those are AWESOME!!! I'm thinking a pair is in my future :thumbsup2 where did you find the photo?

Oh and I wanted to let everyone know that Disney Exec offices called us today to follow up on our BCV problem and basically thanked us for letting them know, apologized profusely, let me know they sent it on to the GM at the BC and agreed that they had some training to do for their front desk team. I liked that they called - very professional!

Julie - This is good news! We will be at BCV before and after the cruise as well. Bring your bags to the DIS meet. You'll have plenty of us to help stuff bags.

Congratulations on your waitlist coming through Georgie!

Okay! What's in a Razzle Dazzle? I've never heard of that before.

As for you New Yorkers, sorry to disappoint you but the Red Sox will still be playing when we are on the cruise so you may not want to watch the game! lol

I change the number of days til we cruise on my whiteboard every morning and check the recent posts on this thread but today is different for some reason. I don't know what it is but I am getting very excited for this cruise!

I don't know if anyone answered this for you yet since I still have 5 pages to read but the Lovely Miss Sara Toga professed herself as a "Hightened listener and Expediant Communicator" aka Town Gossip!
I loved that term so it stuck in my head :thumbsup2

Now I remember it. For the life of me I couldn't remember when MSteg asked. That was funny when Miss Sara Toga said it, but since I'm old I can't remember good lines like that! Don't even ask me to repeat a joke :teeth:

I hate to disagree but everyone knows you can only get a hotdog at Yankee Stadium NOT Fenway in October!!! :rotfl2:

Those are so cute. Is the metal thingy that holds the back strap on a mickey head? It looks like it. Did they mention when they would be available?

Our first cruise was the '03 Member Cruise and without the kids. We were hooked! We have since introduced the kids to cruising - not sure that was the smartest thing we ever did - now they all really want to cruise again.

At least your kids are older and will have to start going on their own cruises, or better yet--paying for you to come along! Emma will be 3 in 3 weeks and she asks almost every day if we can go on the Mickey boat again. Talk about spoiled rotten!

Julie--I saw the link to the picture on some other board, I can't remember which one. And I'll have to find out exactly what's in a Razzle Dazzle two weeks from tomorrow!

Extreme Home Makeover is filming near here. One of John's clients (a home builder) was chosen to build the house. John is working on the team running the wire for low voltage things like phone, cable, intercom & security system. The filming where the volunteers all walk down the street towards the house was done this morning starting at 6:30 AM.

John was suppose to be at the work site at 8 AM tomorrow morning but they called and said he would need to be there at Midnight tonight. Looks like they are ahead of schedule.

The family is a mom and 6 kids, ages 8 months to 12 yrs. The father passed away suddenly last December when the baby was 1 month old. The basement of their house (it's not a full depth basement it's what we call a Michigan basement) was filled with mold. The mom and the 6 kids have had to move out of their house because it's believed (because of toxicoloy reports) that the exposure to the toxic mold is what the husband died from.

Sad, sad story, but next week they will have a new beautiful house to live in.

Yeah, if we can ever get them out of college and they get married and have kids, I could go with them and watch the kids :rotfl2: Better yet maybe I'll do what they did to us on our cruise last December - ran the bar tab up to $600!:scared1:
