Three Things...Gratitude Thread

Big Chunky Shoes - Not that I love my feet looking a bit larger, but I love things like clunky combat boots and chunky sole loafers vs. more dainty and demure options. Even a big sneaker or platform sandal is a lot of fun.

Extra Large Dogs - While we've always been best as a one dog household, I've always had this dream of owning a Great Pyrenees, Bernese Mountain Dog, and Newfoundland all at the same time. Imagine seeing us walking them!

Vehicles - I never feel quite as safe when I'm driving in something smaller. I keep thinking I might downsize for my next ride, after the kids are out of the house and we've stopped with all of this traveling for softball. ...aaaaaaaand then I see something big and quirky and reconsider.

Afternoon everyone!

1. Oversized sweaters & tees - totally agree on these. I live in oversized tops at the moment, either with leggings or shorts and they're super comfy. I wish I could wear them to work!

2. My car - while I feel like my car is a little too large for my liking and I'd prefer something a bit smaller, I'm still grateful for my car in general as I wouldn't be going anywhere without it. Also my friends & family are grateful I've got a large car as it means they can get lifts 😂

3. WDW - I'll take inspiration from flyingdumbo on this 😊 and definitely cant deny it's rather large!

Well living as a child there were no big bad wolves or 3 bears prowling around the Mojave desert 🏜️ 🏜️ 🏜️...so to keep us mischief children in line...we were threatened with the beaded gila monster lizard and that monster reptile was given more credibility when Curtis Gates produced a movie in 1961..attack of the giant gila monster ...so careful we were not .... not knowing the rhyme scheme of the coral snake in our hand... black to red your dead ... black to yellow a good fellow... anyhow 🤣🌞 🌞.. the lizard was only native to Sonora Texas desert
So we were good kids hiking in the cold desert winters

I did a report on Gila monsters when I was in elementary school. (I think I saw that movie) I knew there weren’t any on L.I., but I was still wary in the woods. :)

TGIF Friends :mickeyjum

#1 - OUR POOL - My most favorite relaxing spot.

#2 - OUR BACKDECK GAZEBO - I love sitting on our outdoor furniture and watching TV at night. Especially once it’s cooler and I can use our fire table.

#3 - JIGSAW PUZZLES - I haven’t worked on a puzzle in about a year. Once my DD21 leaves to start grad school, I’m going to start a new one. I’m very excited about it.

SPA - massages ❤️❤️ facials you be surprised how relaxing they are / acupuncture it’s amazing I’ve had wonderful results for it

Naps - I love a nice afternoon snooze 😴 often on Sundays I like to lay down and take a little nap or at least some rest put an old movie on the TV and just lay down on the couch 🛋️

Music 🎶 - it’s very relaxing listening to your favorite music

Break days - While I do genuinely enjoy going to the gym/working out and am adapting to this new weighted vest, I do appreciate a day off. I'm still trying to work off the gains from my bday eating last week, but tomorrow is rest day and I am sooooooo looking forward to it.

Lunch naps - I often nap during my lunchtime at work (well, if I'm working at home). It's nice being able to put myself on "away," walk across the hall, and snuggle up under the covers for an hour.

Stopping somewhere scenic on a hike - while the journey is invigorating, stopping to rest and take it all in has an extra bit of peace to it.
