Jeff,
Beat me by "that much" with the reply. "Schmoozed?" is that what I did? I prefer to call it "pitching a hissy fit." :rotfl:
Schmoozing is what Chris does, and he almost always gets what he wants.

BTW WHAT HAPPENED TO THE YANKS LAST NIGHT!!!! Right when we NEEDED them most. This is NO WAY to get on Karen's good side?!?!?! :happytv: :sad2:

I couldn't think of the right word. I didn't think you sounded angry at all, just kept talking until you got what you wanted that night. Hey, if they didn't give the wristband I was going to leave so that brought more business to PI. I was amazed at how long they made us argue and stand outside the club, what about 5-10 minutes. Not good PR for the first night of the block party.

Mariano had a bad night. I know, it's unusual, it doesn't happen very often. How did the Tigers need the Yankees? They're 9 games ahead of the white sox. Are the Tiger fans worried? :worried:

Desk duty today? :surfweb:

Back to work for me, the server is back up and I can test again. :badpc:

Just posting so ya'll catch Mike's new Mouse Matters article.

(I think I did a great job finding an appropriate smiley, don't you?)

ITEM 1: "Now, we may not be on speaking terms in the Fall if the current trend continues and the Yankees and Tigers play in the playoffs. :duck: "

The way I see it only ONE of us will be represented in the fall classic (theorecticlly) so in the name of friendship preserverance I promise to leave my DD/TW (dear Disney/Tiger wife), come out of the Sports bar and buy you a drink at the pool. ( :duck:- right back at you my friend!! :rotfl2: )

ITEM 2: As for your quote, exactly when will we ever hear this story since you consume no alocholic beverages?

:confused3 - GIVE THE BOY A CHOCOLATE CIGAR!! :lmao:

Especially on the Member Cruise. I'm wondering what we are going to have to miss to do brunch.

My feeling is, you can't do everything. So, make your plans, enjoy them and don't sweat the stuff you miss cause what you're doing at that moment is much better ;)

:rotfl2: I'm still laughing about the Stuffy nosed kid who practices the grab and slide manuever:rotfl2:

Another great article! Oh, and yes we have been guilty of at least one of the top 10, well, 2 maybe if John's cell phone is on!

You should see us at WDW (or anywhere for that matter)......NO ONE touches a queue line. We walk through single file just in case the germs try to JUMP out at us. :lmao: If someone accidentally touches one without thinking about it, usually one of the kids will scold that person!!

We hardly ever get sick at Disney! :)

O M G that mouse matters ROCKS (and now you will see Matt walking the cues with his arms up in the air to avoid the germies after I have him read it).

I think we may be guilty of this one in October/November:
5. Smoochers

- Usually teenagers, but sometimes adults, smoochers are the couples who gaze into each other's eyes and exhibit public displays of affection every time the line starts moving again. I'm okay with a quick kiss now and then, but smoochers go overboard, treating the queue line as their own little tunnel of love

Oh and I love the smilies (these articles are the best)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN
(we're a bit slow on the draw here in Tx this week)

Erin - those bumper sticker designs are GRAND! I cannot wait to make one (or two) and plaster the rental car.

Curt - you dude, so glad to see you :) was missing our chats! Glad to hear you and Karen are hanging in there. Sorry about the tiger/yankee thing (GO CUBBIES)

Aww it's ok Curt to mention the Cubbies - um I am a Cubs fan and I get what being out of first feels like, we're used to it ;)

Hi Curt! Good to see you posting.

8. Do you use bar soap or liquid body wash? Bar - Mickey soap, an amusing story that I will tell if I am drunk enough :drinking: :dance3:

I read this as a challenge! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Thanks to Jeff and Curt for the Block Party info. Get there between 5 and 7 for the wristband! Since this is a girls only trip---look out PI on Thursday night!!

Oh and WHEN the Yanks are playing in the Series, Jeff and I can sit and watch together! :cheer2:

I'm off to read Mouse Matters!

I have first hand experience with this as when I met with the other MC DISers in July I missed the block party because of work but met up with the group at Beaches and Cream. When we parted, Karen, Curt and I went back to Pleasure Island and they gave me a hard time about not getting the bracelet before 7PM on the 3rd floor of the rock and roll beach club. It doesn't say it in the coupon book they give you when you enter the block party but you must get the bracelet before 7PM to go back later at night. They give you a coupon book for I think 2 free drinks and other discounts. Tom gave me his PI discount page out of that book so I had proof that we were at the block party. They weren't going to give us the bracelets but Curt schmoozed the bouncers and eventually a manager came out and gave us each a bracelet. Curt and Karen didn't need one since they have premium annual passes but I only have the regular annual so I needed the bracelet.

On the same theme, read this again Diana!! :drinking1 party:

Remind me never to sit next to you so you can practice those effects in person. :rotfl:

While I am in a posting frame of mind I remind all and one that Karen and I will have our door sign on Cabin #7623. The first person to correctly identify the movie that the capture is from will receive a Konk Cooler. (or similarly priced :drinking1 libation of their choice on us)

:thumbsup2 Great article!!

I have to say, I've been terrified of "Grab and Slide" People for as long as I can remember. Growing up in NYC, I used to take the train to high school. I took the 7:15am train and every morning it was packed to the gills with people going into Manhattan for work, like suck it in and don't breathe until your stop full of people. In my 4 years of riding the train, I never ever ever touched a pole, hanger thing---anything on the train--just for that reason! To this day, I don't touch handrails, poles, I cringe when I have to touch door handles. I'm one of those people who carry purell on my keychain and go through about a bottle a week. I'm a germaphobe!! :crazy2:

I totally missed that part!! Thanks Cindy and Jeff!!! I'm gonna P-A-R-T-Y!!!!

Look out PI!!!

Last year when we went for girls weekend, I was drinking beverages served in sandpails! I was using the excuse that the girls would enjoy the sandpails, so I had to have another! :lmao:

By the way -

Mary please thank the Jedi Webmaster who put the DisRadio link on. I've been stuck on the desk all day. Listening to Disney music (not Radio Disney - 40 year old men do no do "Jump 5" or that annoying lizzard very well) has made the day go by pretty well. Of course I have been getting a couple of laughs from people coming up to the desk with me "bopping" along to He Mele No Lilo or something like that.
