We are also having brunch at Palos. At first I was concerned about missing something but then decided since we didn't go to Palo last cruise we should do it this time.

If DVC is wise and reading, they will leave that morning open as it seems a lot of us will be having brunch. :)

My DH & I also were at the SRS Grand opening in May 2004 without the kids (!) & enjoyed every minute of the celebration. Watching the fireworks at Magic Kingdom without the crowds on the bridge in front of Splash Mountain is a great memory I have from the event.
I have a question that I know will sound trivial and silly to most, but maybe someone will know the answer anyway. It was either Miss Sara Toga or Miss Dee Vee See that mentioned her definition of gossip, which I thought was very cute, but I can't remember it. Does anyone recall the definition?

Mike - good question. I think it was Sara. Wish I could remember it. I bet Stacy might based on her post.

It's been a while since I posted the early dining information. For those new to our thread, prior to sailing I will be contacting Disney Cruise Lines to request that the DIS'ers listed below be seated together for dinner. Here's who I have as requesting to be linked so far. This is EARLY dining only, IIRC, Tina (tinkerbelle77) was going to try and coordinate a group for late dining.

It's not too late to join in, so anyone who has early seating for dinner, please contact me (Cindy) with your name, confirmation number, cabin number and the number of people in your group.

I can't answer your question either.

But we were at Member Homecoming with our kids. One of our most special WDW memories happened that night at the MK. Our kids still talk about it so it's ranked as priceless. The park was SO empty it was wonderful. I'd love to have the opprotunity again sometime to experience a special event at MK.

That was also my first experience at just how hot it can be in Florida.

See, that's where my dilemma comes in. I didn't book brunch because at first, they were showing it on our CC day, so I knew it was wrong. I guess I should have done it, figuring that they would move it. Anyway, I just don't want to miss anything, so I'm debating going to the Palo ressies onboard to get a brunch ressie.

Currently, we have dinner at Palo for our last night, but I'm not even sure I want to keep that. I know that nothing special really happens in the dining room, it's just that I hate to miss dinner with my DIS friends. But, Chris just adores Palo.

Ohhh, decisions, decisions!!
We have dinner at Palo for the last night too, so I know exactly how you feel. Maybe we could sit together so that we aren't totally DIS friendless!

And wouldn't it be nice if they did something nice for all of us at Brunch! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: NYAH NYAH NYAH :teeth:

Heck, If they were smart, they would have special events no matter where we were! Well there are a few places that they shouldn't!

Late as usual -

Happy Birthday John

Busy still trying to catch up around the house since I was gone for more than I should have been but I was having so much fun that it was hard to come home to reality.

I have to get working on ideas for our door and magnets and bumper stickers - it was fun decorating last year so I will have to get working on that after my next trip in a few weeks.

Looks like you have all been pretty busy around here -

{poof} :surfweb: Good Morning all!

Despite what has been suggested Karen and I have NOT been chased from the boards. We have not been insulted by some the stuff thrown our way, :duck:we know all of the ribbing in good natured and with tounge firmly in cheek. We enjoyed the bejesus out of the two mini-meets that we participated in this summer, and look forward to SSMC06 with heady anticipation (except that the sail away day is the first game of the Series) The only way to describe our affliction is through the movie, "Fever Pitch." We are committed (or should be committed) Detroit Tiger fans. Except for this last trip to the DW the ONLY other place we have been in Florida is Lakeland (Tiger Spring Training camp) This all being said there truley such a thing as the winter Dennis' and the summer Dennis'. Please understand and pity us. :sad2: :rolleyes2 Remember, Mickey does -
DSC03195a.jpg

(cheap shot - I know but I do feel bad for the lack of participation and do miss it.)

Moving on -

1. What color is the car you drive? Maroon Ford Ranger

2. Do you wear Crocs? No, I have a cool pair of lime green (or DisBoard green) Teva boat shoes.

3. What is your favorite Disney restaurant? LeCellier, hands down.

4. What do you collect? Disney Pins

5. What kind of shampoo do you use? the green bottle in the shower.

6. Any pets? Exercising my Fifth Ammendment rights on this one.

7. How many of the United States have you visted? IL, MI, NY, NJ, TX, VA, FL, DC, OH, PA, ON(Canada, I know - but I'm a cheater remember) I think that's it.

8. Do you use bar soap or liquid body wash? Bar - Mickey soap, an amusing story that I will tell if I am drunk enough :drinking: :dance3: .

9. Grease or Sound of Music? I'll have to take the fifth on that one too Senator. (I'm a sucker for Queen Clarisse).

10. Have you ever taken a Disney cruise? Three - all on the Wonder!

11. Backdraft or Ladder 49? Backdraft - Ladder 49 would have been better with the other ending.

Committed to being a better DisSer,

Question for those of you who have attended the DVC Block Party---how does the free admission to PI work? Do you go between 5 and 7, show your card and they give you a bracelet so when you go back you don't have to pay?

I just realized I'll actually be there on a Thursday to go and would like to check it out! :cool1:

I have first hand experience with this as when I met with the other MC DISers in July I missed the block party because of work but met up with the group at Beaches and Cream. When we parted, Karen, Curt and I went back to Pleasure Island and they gave me a hard time about not getting the bracelet before 7PM on the 3rd floor of the rock and roll beach club. It doesn't say it in the coupon book they give you when you enter the block party but you must get the bracelet before 7PM to go back later at night. They give you a coupon book for I think 2 free drinks and other discounts. Tom gave me his PI discount page out of that book so I had proof that we were at the block party. They weren't going to give us the bracelets but Curt schmoozed the bouncers and eventually a manager came out and gave us each a bracelet. Curt and Karen didn't need one since they have premium annual passes but I only have the regular annual so I needed the bracelet.

Diana,

When you go into the block party they will be distributing wrist bands for the PI admission. ENSURE that you get that band before the END of the block party. The MiniMeet that Karen and I had with Jeff (Copper3) brought some confusion. We did not have the bands and were given "some" grief. Just make sure you have the wristband and you'll have fun for the rest of the night.

KUNGALOOSH!

I think they did a good job with the casting - don't you?? :rotfl2: They had to reverse the roles though to clear the copywrite hurdles (Karen is the FANatical baseball lover.)

Jeff,
Beat me by "that much" with the reply. "Schmoozed?" is that what I did? I prefer to call it "pitching a hissy fit." :rotfl:

BTW WHAT HAPPENED TO THE YANKS LAST NIGHT!!!! Right when we NEEDED them most. This is NO WAY to get on Karen's good side?!?!?! :happytv: :sad2:

It's good to hear from you. :thumbsup2

Now, we may not be on speaking terms in the Fall if the current trend continues and the Yankees and Tigers play in the playoffs. :duck:

As for your quote, exactly when will we ever hear this story since you consume no alocholic beverages?

I forgot on the last post, Happy Birthday John!!!
