Thanks for the birthday wishes! another year older! We went to the Orlando Ale house for supper after I got off work. We got there just after 5 and it's a good thing, too, they were waiting in line when we left! That's my DS's favorite place, his dad takes him there for lunch on Thursdays when they are having meatloaf! ;) 'course his dad only goes to make Patrick happy, not for theh $2 pints of Fosters! :rotfl2:

We are thinking of taking some beer onto the ship, is that OK?

I believe someone said you can bring alcohol on board with you but be careful about having it in your luggage because of the bags being tossed around and something can break or leak.

See, and that's kinda like me and OKW. I live in FL, so when I go on vacation, I love going where the theming is SO different from where I live. That's why we fell in love with VWL. When you step in the lobby, it's like you're transformed right out of FL.

I think this is why we are not breaking down the doors to stay @ VWL. Of course our favorite restaurant is Artist Point because of the NW food and wines (go figure;) ). We go wine tasting locally and Napa/Sonoma and usually give our waiter some pointers on the NW wines!:drinking1

Good morning everyone!

Roxanne - looks like you were in a drinking mood last night!

So for those who went how did you like the new chat? I like it. Much faster than the old chat and lots of fun extras. Still have to get the hang of a few things. I was wiped or I would have stayed longer.

Good Morning! I enjoyed chat last night and like the new format (although I will need to get used to it).

This weekend is considered Heritage Days in Scituate. The town closes off Front Street by the harbor and there will be booths set up with all sorts of stuff - local artisits, crafts, paintings, post cards, clothes, etc. There will also be a section for children - face painting, sand art, moon walk, etc. There will also be bands playing too. Last year it was J Geils Band and I think one of the bands this year is Edgar Winter.

It should be a fun day. My godchild and family will be attending the event with us and then back to our house for some food and drinks! Have a good day everyone!

Good morning everyone!! My favorite little alarm clocks woke me up bright and early, despite going to bed after midnight.

Anyway, chat was fun last night. The new chat program is MUCH, MUCH faster, which is really nice.

As far as DVC resorts. Our Boardwalk home is our favorite. In June of last year we had a room at the absolute end of the hall. It was right next to Jellyrolls. You know what - it was a great view and worth it! We even found a back way up. Wouldn't work for someone with little kids and a stroller but it worked for us.

Our least favorite is VWL. Chalk it up to a bad experience and also I find the decor too dark for me. Still it has some plusses like the "being away from it all" feel and being able to see the Electrical Water Pageant.

I never thought I would like OKW but we've stayed there twice and really enjoyed it. We've stayed at Beach Club and may again some day. We've never stayed at SSR but I'm sure we will at some point.

That's the beauty of DVC. There is something for everyone. If we all liked the same thing life would be so boring.

I was there after you left, Mary. It's much quicker. I do need to figure out which "express" keys I accidently hit to bounce me out. By the time I got back in, everyone except Amy had left thinking I just did one of my quick exits.

Amy & I did have a nice chat just the two of us. Just as others were coming in from other rooms, we were calling it a night.

The funniest thing is when I was ready to leave, I couldn't figure out how to get out. :rotfl:

We have a leak someplace in our house. Gary has torn drywall off trying to figure it out. Walker's carpet is soaked. The area by the furnace & hot water heater are pretty wet, along with 2 closets. My guess is it has something to do with the air conditioning unit. Thinking about it, with all the hot water we use around here, it doesn't seem logical it's that. With all the toilet flushing, same thing. We feared it was the main pipe into the house, but I'd think that with the water coming into the pipes, it would have been more wet. So, really I have no clue as to the source. And, until we know where the problem is, Gary doesn't even have an idea of who to call to fix it.

Last night, Gary put a fan on the wetness in by the furnace/hot water heater and feels it dryer this AM. The air has been off all night, but we've also been asleep (or trying to sleep with that fan going  ) so we'll see what happens today.

We had the Blackened Chicken Quesadillas for starters and I had the Pork Medallions for dinner, 3 of them came with the meal, and I brought home 2! Will have them for lunch at work today! mmmmmm!

Thanks, We were thinking of taking a rolling carryone with the beer and wine in it. Then we can have it in our room. We don't want to have to wait for the luggage to arrive!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

looks like lots of drinking plans for the cruise! Even if we don't do much at home, I think we "let our hair down" on the cruse a little bit!

I like the new chat format.....I never lost the connection once! I think we'll have to get used to it, it scrolls by so fast, but I think I saw an option to save the chat. oh, Gotta get my clothes on to leave for work! bye!:goodvibes

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes! :goodvibes We finally got the metal palm trees up and the brick patio around them finished last night. Yea! It has been a bigger project than I anticipated. Now today is DH's 25th high school reunion. :drinking1

Cindy, we had an indoor link once. Ken tried to blame it on the new kitten. The carpet in front of the TV was wet, and he thought the cat was peeing on it. I knew that much wetness couldn't have come from one little kitten. So he started to take off the paneling in our basement family room and found out we had a leak in the pipe coming from our kitchen sink/garbage disposal. When he removed the insulation that had been soaking up all that smelly water, I thought I would choke! It smelled so bad! At least, since the leak was in our indoor plumbing, it was covered by our insurance.

I think I'll like the new chat once I get used to it. It must be Mac friendly because it didn't lock up on me even once! I didn't find the option to pause the chat until just before I left. I have a feeling I might be using it because it goes so fast that you can't even leave to get a drink of water without missing something!

Hope everyone has a great Saturday!

Happy Weekend!!! :dance3:

The new chat was cool but like most everyone has said it just takes a little getting used to. It did seem to scroll by faster then the other one so I would have to look back every so often to make sre I didn't miss something.

Well Nick and I already took a quick run out to Target and A.C. Moore. :moped: The craft store had an easel on sale so we went and picked it up for Nick since he is my budding artist/writer extrodinaire.
I have "commisioned" him to do an art piece for me. He has to do it on a 16x20 canvas and I supplied him with paint, paintbrushes, some old puzzles and some Mod Podge and gave him a general idea of what I wanted so we'll have to see how it turns out. :artist:

Oh me, oh my, we were almost at the bottom of the 1st page. How long since that has happened?

We are just back from fishing. Walker caught a number of little ones this afternoon. There's a really nice breeze and I passed the time trying to finish the book I was reading in Hilton Head.

Things are a bit drier around here. The leaking seems to have stopped and the fans are helping to dry things out. I think the culprit is the air conditioning unit -- which I'll call on Monday to have it checked out. All in all, things could have been a lot worse.

Glad to hear things are looking up Cindy. Doing lots of laurdry here and just relaxing.
