Not much, but at least it's something!

I'm happy in a way that additional SSMC06 merchandise is going to be for sale onboard--but that also frightens me. I've read the stories of people sleeping in halls for stuff and stuff selling out the first night for other special cruises and I really liked it better last year when we were able to order and have it waiting in the room. That way there wasn't any stress involved. I got what I wanted, and if I wanted more, there was still some for sale on the ship. I'm gonna be the first in a long line to freak out if I don't get what I want and see if for sale on ebay. I just don't want to have to beat up anyone to get something--and for those of you who were around for Black Friday, you know I can hold my own when it comes to shopping!

We know that we are getting gifts. We know there will be special entertainment. We know we will be able to buy special merchandise.

Sailaway sounds like it will be cool and so does the Membership rocks thing.

A little late in posting about booking excursions since the 105 day and the 90 day booking window are past.

At least we finally got something. I'm pretty happy!

Maybe they'll handle it like the special pin on SSMC05. I agree with you - I'd hate to see someone come in and buy up a ton and then sell them on ebay and leave none for those on the ship who want them.

Finally!! Sounds like they'll be coming a little more often now, at least that's what I hope!

That scavenger hunt sounds fun...but that was going to be our "relaxing" day on CC.

Diana, that is exactly my first reaction to this "tidbit" of infor we have been given. I don't like the "crush" of having to be the "last one" withnothing left for me. DH and I don't always join the crush at the beginning of the line. What a heartbreak to be the one left behind.

Thanks for posting up the Cruise News here. I don't have to wait til when I get home to check DH's email since everything is sent to him. Oh, maybe it's on the Web site too ,huh.

Diana, something tells me you can hold your own, whether shopping or not. Must be the kick boxing classes.

Seriously, I hope DVC & DCL have learned from that slumber party. I will be another upset if I don't get what I want and it ends up on ebay. We all know there are ebay sharks just waiting to get their hands on exclusive merchandise. After I buy what I want and everyone has a fair chance, by all means, I have no problem opening it up for extras other may want. And, after that point, it's really their business as to what they do with the items, I feel it has to be done after everyone else has their first chance.

The membership rocks scavenager hunt sounds pretty neat! Can't wait for that.

Having "special" merchandise available on the cruise is nice but, I liked the pre-order option we had last year for the merchandise. I can do it at a time that's convienient for me, besides I really don't want to waste the little bit of precious cruise time standing in line to buy merchandise.

Oh, having the shirts we ordered waiting for us when we got to our room was way cool!

I hope everyone learned from the nightmare of slumber parties on the May cruise. That's something I would expect from a bare bones type of cruiseline, not a class act like DCL!

I think the way they handled the pin with the voucher was great and then the last day anyone can buy whatever is left. I was just thinking along the lines of t-shirts, bags, hats--whatever the choices were for last year and how a voucher would be difficult for several different items and when there's several different sizes and big/small families. Hopefully, they'll come up with an organized plan--or else, as Cindy pointed out, I've been going to kickboxing class for 8 months now--so don't mess with me!!

Fiddle Sticks!

Somehow my checked box to receive emails from DVC got unchecked! I did sign up for the Member Cruise Updates! Did not get that today!

I received an email from DVC stating the fact that the box is unchecked! Have gone in to check it but she did not mention the Member Cruise! No Wonder! They sent out the email!

Thanks again for the information! I guess they got sick of us emailing them!

OK - This is my first post on DISboards. I will be on the Member Cruise in October and I too have been very frustrated trying to get information about what is happening when for this cruise. We have 5 days until we can do our bookings but we don't have any kind of itinerary to know what is going on when. Can anyone help to fill us in?
I have been reading some of the messages here since December but my frustration with getting information is what made me join instead of just watching.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Also - I can't figure out how to make my vacation countdown. We will be at OKW before the cruise and WLV after the cruise. MNSSHP on Oct 20th.
