2006 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC06 - October 22, 2006 Part 3

Ok, I know this info is somewhere but darn if I can find it. Which agencies have offices near the port? I have a some discount coupons from a bunch of different agencies and want to know who to use. I think Budget comes to mind but then again with all this heat (thank god it is cooler today) my brain is fried.

We will rent a car to get to the Port and drop it off and re-rent to return back to WDW.

A new email just came out today giving a little insight into the cruise. Check you email ... or look on page 811 for the copy.

Also check out Mary and Mark's sight: www.monorailgreen.info

Jacqui - I think you are right Budget is the closest. We too will have a car but we are leaving it a port.

We need to come up with a design for our "caravan" magnets.

OK - This is my first post on DISboards. I will be on the Member Cruise in October and I too have been very frustrated trying to get information about what is happening when for this cruise. We have 5 days until we can do our bookings but we don't have any kind of itinerary to know what is going on when. Can anyone help to fill us in?
I have been reading some of the messages here since December but my frustration with getting information is what made me join instead of just watching.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Also - I can't figure out how to make my vacation countdown. We will be at OKW before the cruise and WLV after the cruise. MNSSHP on Oct 20th.

I look forward to meeting everyone.

Hi ConleyFam :welcome:

If you go into the Disney Cruise Line website and enter your information, it will retrieve your reservation and you'll be able to see what is offered during the cruise. Most things that showed up were offered on the booking day for Castaway Caye members (those who have sailed before with Disney) -- with the exception of the package for bike rental/snorkeling/raft rental for two days at a discounted price. If there's anything else I've missed, I'm sure someone will add that information.

Be sure and visit Mark & Mary's site -- if you haven't already. www.monorailgreen.info There is a lot of good information available on there.

Hope to see you post again!

Now in each room you'll get a new CC totebag, inside it's packed with goodies! Two mesh bags, one red, one blue, also two CC Cups with Straws, Two things of Sunblock, two Jelly Bracelets (one red/one blue with the CC logo on them), a large CC magnent, and a few other gifts! So cool! Also CC members will still get the lanyards/pins at check in.

I was excited when someone told about the lanyards/pins at check in. This is even cooler. Oh my, I just realized I will get to see this next month :Pinkbounc for the 11 night cruise. Pretty cool DCL!!!!!

The emails have already started from my family about what to get the girls for their birthdays. I hate coming up with stuff like that. I have such a hard time. Emma's bday is Aug 28 and Julia's is Sept 30. Because all of Bruce's family lives in Ohio and all of my family lives in NYC, we do one big combined family party at the end of August. But this year because I'm going to WDW, I'm doing it on August 20th, which means I only have 2 weeks to through this whole shindig together. :headache:

You can handle it!
Don't forget you can handle your Mom's Club Parties and you were a Girl Scout Cookie Queen! I have confidence in you.
Just in case, you can call me if you need an S.O.S.!

Just taking a minute to pop in and say hi! :wave2: Having a great time and the family reunion was great!!! My sisters and I drove so many places in NJ over last weekend we thought we had spent more time there than we had. :moped: Saw a few friends I have not seen in 30 + years - it's been great. :wizard: Most probably I will be home again on the weekend.

Very cool!
Glad your having such a great time!

Two weeks, Diana. With your organizaational skills and your go-attitude, that's a lot of time. You'll do fine.

How would your families accept the idea of Disney $$'s for the girls? Then they could pick out all the souveniers kids are always pining for at WDW. Easy way to kill two birds with one stone.

Love the Disney Dollars idea.
My MIL give us Disney dollars at Christmas!

Tina, what waterpark do you go to with the girls? Probably one out your way but I'm always on the hunt for new things to do.
Cindy,

We went to Cypress Cove, its here in Woodridge. Its part of the park district, but its very good! We have season passes there.

Not much, but at least it's something! :cool1:

I'm happy in a way that additional SSMC06 merchandise is going to be for sale onboard--but that also frightens me. I've read the stories of people sleeping in halls for stuff and stuff selling out the first night for other special cruises and I really liked it better last year when we were able to order and have it waiting in the room. That way there wasn't any stress involved. I got what I wanted, and if I wanted more, there was still some for sale on the ship. I'm gonna be the first in a long line to freak out if I don't get what I want and see if for sale on ebay. I just don't want to have to beat up anyone to get something--and for those of you who were around for Black Friday, you know I can hold my own when it comes to shopping! :lmao:D
Diana,

Black Friday is my favorite shopping day!!!! I am up at 1 am and in line at the store by 130 am, to get what I need!!! Thats a tradition for my mom and I! But this year she going alone, as I will be in WDW for 12 days! I can't wait. :cheer2:

We were losing power for split seconds all day yesterday. I think Detroit Edison was having a problem keeping up with the electric usage.

We got the storms sometime after 3:30 this morning. From 9 last night until then we had constant lightening.

Gotta spend the day washing clothes and packing. We're leaving tomorrow morning for South Carolina. We're going down for my dad's family reunion. We'll be back Monday night sometime.

Our lights dimmed a few times last night just before 10 pm and I kept waiting for the power to go out but it didn't.

Have a super time at the Family Reunion. I just love going to them and hate having to leave. Can't wait till the "Family Reunion" in October!!!

Going to se the Bears in training camp today! Hope the weather cooperates!

We Have the Giants training camp by us. The practice at the SUNY Albany campus right next to where I work. I guess Shockey (sp?) got hurt the other day and one of my husbands co workers saw him at the 99 restraunt at lunch the next day at the bar having a beer.

We need to come up with a design for our "caravan" magnets.

I got a good deal months ago from Alamo and they are in the airport. We will also be leaving our car at port.

I like the idea of "Caravan Magnets"! :thumbsup2
