Actually, they are the rage not only in Cleveland area. I first spotted them in Columbus when I was there for the half marathon. There was a huge cheerleading competition going on and almost everyone had them. Some were ribbons, some fleece, all in various widths of fabric. Everyone was having such fun. I brought the idea back for our Relay for Life fundraiser and we have been selling as many as we can make here.

Karen, they are just tied on. Quite easy to do. Even craft-challenged me can handle this project.

Yeah, we wear them indoors for all season gatherings. :rotfl:

:thumbsup2 Those flip flops are so CUTE!!!! :thumbsup2 My neighborhood is having a Relay for Life team. We are trying to have each neighborhood in Hunter's Creek have a team. I am the Team Leader for Mar Vista. We are called the Mar Vista Marchers. I am going to steal your great idea to sell those flip flops at our Fall Festival......you know we wear Flip flops all year down here! I haven't seen them around. Did you get the pattern at Michael"s craft store? Connie

Pixie dust for Chris! pixiedust:
also for Cindy's whole family and the boy's family. pixiedust:

Cindy, what color Crocs did you get? Where did you get them, and more importantly, where did they have the scutes?? I NEED a pair of those!!!

Another drink fest here at my house....Stacy, you missed lots of Twisted Teas and Margaritas!! I need to get to bed. The gym at 8:30 tomorrow is going to be painful.

His pediascribe ones or his Mouse Matters ones?

He's thought of it many many many times. He has written about 4 novels....but only 1/2 way. He gets bogged down in the middle. They take too long to write. He is REALLY enjoying writing his articles now b/c they are quicker. :) And he's LOVING doing the podcasting thing for the DIS Unplugged and.....

ta-dah....his OWN podcast which debuts TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!

'course, it doesn't surprise me b/c he was a DJ in middle school, high school and college. :) The kids are ALWAYS asking him to "say that in your DJ voice." :lmao:

I enjoy both articles!

Sorry I missed it.
We were going over what we would need for camp next week because we have our last Boy Scout meeting tonight to make sure all the Medical forms are in and that all the new boys will know what to expect and pack for next week, so this week is going to fly by since I have so much to do.

I bought the copper color beach style and the off white/tourquose athens.

I bought them at Dicks. It's the only place around here that I know of with Crocs - althought they probably have them at Nordstroms as well since that's where I bought Walker's.

I thik I'm going to order a pair of the scutes online. The ones they had at Dicks seemed to be darker/men colors. And, the sizes were huge. I looked through them all, hoping to find a smaller pair but no luck. They do look very comfy.

Did I miss it? What color athens did you get? Let me guess, fuschia/lime green? ;)

Stacy, have fun at camp. I know you will! See how I can say that with confidence since your going and I'll be in my nice, air conditioned villa in Hilton Head. :)

Cindy - what color did you get of the Athens and did Dick's have a lot of them. We have a Dick's right by my office and I might have to go check them out.

Cheryl - we're planning on being in WDW during Mousefest but don't know how many (if any) of the Mousefest events we'll participate in.

pixiedust: to Chris on his surgery today! Keep us posted - hopefully this gives him some relief.

I didn't really care for the fuschia/lime green athens. I believe way back Steve said they looked like watermelon shoes, and on my giant feet---well, I just didn't want to go there. My athens are white/orange.

The girls have class today at 10:30 and after I'm heading to AC Moore to get stuff for 2 swaps I'm in, I guess I'll be making a trip into Dick's there to see if they have Scutes here. I want the black/lime scutes, and maybe, they'll have them in my giant size!!

I need a little more time to get back to you. We didn't have a digital camera at the time and I need to hunt down some pictures.

Wouldn't that be something if we were there at the same time. :)

See that is the beauty of scrapbooking. I checked my scrapbook and sure enough I had put one of our badges from the CP in the checkbook so it listed the day and time.

During dinner last night Cindy and I were talking about TV shows and Gary Sinese came up. Cindy said she'd like to see him do Candlelight Processional. We saw him last year and he was very good. I told Cindy, however, that the best one for us was the year David Hartman did it. She had seen him too and thought it was in 2002 which is when we saw him. We were saying what a small world it would have been if we had seen it at the same time but didn't even know each other then. That's why I posted my date and time. Cindy will check it against her own and we'll see if we did see it at the same time.

Speaking of which I should see who is doing CP while we are down there this year. I love the Candlelight Processional - one of the most moving performances on Disney property.

Cindy - I see you posted the color while I was posting the question. :)

The white/tourquose athens are the ones I liked best online. Happy to hear that Dick's carried them. Would you mind if I'm a copy cat?

Not at all. In fact, make sure if you go to Dicks to get them, you sign up for their rewards program. No fee to join and a couple $$'s off your first purchase.

Besides, I'll just stand on the other side of the room from you. ;)

Seriously, I wasn't so sure about the thingy between my toes but once I felt the nubs under my feet, I was hooked. They feel really comfy!

Now I'm going to hate fall when I have to pack them away.

No scrapbook (yet) for me

But....I did find the video from when we were there and it was December, 2002. I know we had dinner at LeCellier before hand as part of the package. I remember that because Walker slept through the entire dinner in the stroller next to the table. The CM sent us on our way with a hamburger to go for him when he woke up.

We both said that David Hartman was the best when it came to narrating. I still remember how humble he was standing up there. :thumbsup2

I will get back to you after I watch these tapes. It will be a fun walk down memory lane.

Opps - guess it just goes to show how expensive a scrapbook hobby can be. I should be paying bills this morning so I guess I have checkbook on the brain. No time - off to work I go.
