Thursday, 26th, fight tooth and nail not to get off ship! Drive back to BCV, take a nap, LTT 4:30 p.m. MNSSHP, weren't we suppose to meet at the Flag Pole?

Ok I'm a little right now. I'm usually very much a for DVC and the service they give but this has me a little upset. As noted I wrote to Member Services via the website to ask if we could please hear a little about the cruise. I even stated that they might want to pass the e-mail on to the marketing team handling the cruise. Here is the response I got back:



Needless to say I replied that I had visited the Member Website, I had signed up for the cruise news, but we still haven't heard anything. I'm getting into the worried category as well that this cruise isn't going to be like last years. I know that we will still have a great time and cruising with DIS and DVC friends is what it is all about, but I'm very disappointed in the way they have handled the communication (or should I say lack there of).

Sorry about the "stock" reply you received. Not what I would expect from DVC, especially reagarding a premium priced cruise! Is the last e-mail we received from DVC about the cruise the one we got in January Congratulating us on our upcoming cruise? It's now July and the cruise is 3 months away and they have nothing to tell us - Scarry!

I was just coming here to post my "canned reply" as well. Contact DCL??? Excuse me, but who is in charge of this cruise?

I will be sending an email to Carli this afternoon. I used the generic "contact us" this morning, but I have to say I'm really very disappointed in the response we got. It didn't even get forwarded to anyone on the planning team. For that, I'm very sad in the way it's being handled.

And......it just escalates my concerns. Sorry to say, but I'm not a happy DVC Member at this time.

Mary: That is disappointing to hear that you got a canned reply.

Connie: I actually felt the opposite (I liked the CA CM's better.) Although we recently had some great CM's when we went on July 1.

Julie - don't feel left out. I got that one first (both times) then the other. It really seems like they aren't even reading what we are writing. Very sad.

Maybe, but then I'd say it's poor planning on the part of DVC to bite off more than it could chew.

I'm rather discouraged today.

Cheryl - I'm sure that is part of it. Espeically since Magical Milestones is the theme of the cruise.

Maybe they have such Wonderful and Magical things planned for us that they don't want to let everybody know too early as not to make them jealous!

Don't forget, they don't plan way ahead like the rest of us!

Thank you for contacting Member Services. Member Cruise News emails will be coming soon. They will just be coming closer together and closer to the date of the 2006 SS Member Cruise than they did for the 2005 SS Member Cruise. You should also have already received, or will be receiving shortly,
a mailing from the Disney Cruise Line regarding shore excursion possibilities for your 2 days at Castaway Cay.

So far, "Todd" seems to be my favorite CM! I would think and hope that we get the shore excursion info before booking day and isn't that coming up like next week??

I got my ME luggage tags for my August trip in yesterdays mail. That made me very excited!!

For anyone attending MNSSHP:

DH and I have costumes that are too big for us now and they are sitting in our closet. Anyone who is interested and does not have a costume for MNSSHP please let me know.

DH costume: Grumpy from Disney Store includes beard and hat size XXL
My costume: Snow White from Disney Store includes wig size XXL

These could be shipped before the cruise or we could pack them along.

I have no idea where the booklet is at this point (see how unorganized I am ) but I did find the letter. It's dated back 5/25 and tells us the booking date for shore excursions is 7/24.


Does that help? I know the booklet we received is here someplace, probably in with Gary's stuff.
