We're going tomorrow to the drive in. Only, I haven't watched the first one yet. Bruce put it on for me the other night to watch and I started doing other things. I doubt I'll have time before 8pm tomorrow, how clueless will I be?

It would help if you see the first movie since of course with sequels they reference stuff that happened in the first movie and it will help you understand why some charecters are feared or revered. pirate:

Erin, I couldn't agree more. I really think that DVC is missing the boat with their lack of information to their members. Even me, the non-planner, is starting to wonder just what is up with that.

I do have a scoop to share. I received an email today from someone stating that the entertainment for our cruise is still not finalized...But they did say that nothing has been finalized for our cruise yet --- which makes me a little more concerned.

I know that we put a lot of trust into this vacation. I doubt we'd be disappointed with just being on the cruise. But.......if I just wanted to be on a cruise, and not THE member cruise, we could have picked any of the other sailings on the Wonder and/or the Magic. We selected this cruise because it was THE member cruise. I'm hoping that DVC remembers that those of us on this sailing booked it because we wanted a special cruise.

I truly hope that we are not disappointed.
I just hope this means that we will be extra surprised! (I don’t want to think it won’t be as great as the others.)

Diana, PD to you as you have “Sister Bonding.”

Stacy, congrats on the new car.

Cindy, sorry about that PC, at least you were smart enough that all is backed up. Me on the other hand…not so.

Ilene, hope that PT makes things better for you and that you aren't too bad after your visit tonight.

…I'm saddened that they aren't offering pre-sale of special DVC Member Cruise merchandise like they did last year. I'm hoping they have something on the cruise itself for us to get…

Thanks Mary!!! I'm so excited

So do we pay now or when we board? Sorry if I missed that!

CONGRATS STACY!!! and MARY for the REPLY!!!

Stacy - I love that car in red - how awesome!

Diana and Amy - I would love to hear how you prepare and pack your things for the scrapbooking weekends. That really seems like something I would like to do and would love to hear more about it. We do them locally at a good friends home when her husband goes on his annual fishing trip and it's so much fun!

Congrats Stacy!! Another milestone....boy the time is just flying!!

Banana Boat--I'm trying to look at my reservation and it's giving me that the system is unavailable.

How I pack for scrapbooking weekends--just like Amy said, I'm going to a CKC in 2 weeks and there I'm taking 6 classes in the 2 days, plus going to the Vendor Fair (shopping). I'm just taking my basic tools--trimmer, adhesive, scissors. I'm not planning on going to the crops they have so I won't be bringing my large rolling tote because the hotel we are staying at is right across from the King of Prussia mall and we will shopping more than scrapbooking. For Disney, I'm not sure what I'm bringing yet. I haven't signed up for any classes yet.

I found the CKC in Valley Forge from the same website that Amy posted. We were supposed to go to the one in Buffalo or Manchester NH but the weekends didn't work well for the friends I'm going with. The WDW crop is done every year. I read about it here on the DIS last year and waited for them to post about this years. It's usually held at the Contemporary, but b/c of the construction there, they moved us this year to the Yacht Club. No complaints from me, I prefer YC over CR. http://www.dreameventsinc.com/ is the website for their crops.

Amy, I think it spectacular that the girls have Dad time. I know they will remember those moments as they grow.

Good morning. I don't recall seeing this mentioned here, but I thought it was really cool:

While visiting Castaway Cay, guests should also be on the lookout for the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow. With the Flying Dutchman lurking just off the shore, the eccentric captain may be spotted around the island. Guests are encouraged to approach the hero and hear his tales about adventure on the high seas. The charming pirate graciously accepts requests for portraits and autographs—if guests can manage to track him down.
Sandy, I liked that post. I hope we have a “sighting." Should be fun!

Oooh I hope DH and I will see Pirates this weekend.

Banana Boat People, I’m happy that you have everything figured out. Remember to wave as you fly by. I’ll be onshore watching.

I think that makes me almost finished...

Okay, I am double checking to see who I will be spending most of my vacation with (besides DH and DD). Who is joining us for all these special events?

Arrive Friday (20th) and Saturday (21st) staying @ BCV (no DIS or DVC meet planned yet)
Sunday 22nd drive to Port and DISmeet before safety drill
Monday 23rd BANANA BOATS
Thursday 26th LTT @ 4:30 and MNSSHP
Friday 27th Grand Gatherings Wishes Cruise (time not confirmed by Disney yet)
We're pretty much the same too. The only difference for us really is that Chris has to work on Friday, so we're not driving over until Saturday morning.

Here we go again, long lost sisters!! We've had the POC movie since it came out on DVD and Chris watched it really late the night that we got it. But, I didn't want to stay up late back then, so I never saw it.

I didn't watch the 1st pirates movie until the 4th. We were supposed to go to a BBQ, but we just weren't in the mood. Emily has been begging us to go see POC2, so I told her that if she could sit through POC1, then I would consider it. So, we put it on and we all watched it. I was shocked that she wasn't frightened at all by it. So, that was my first time seeing it.

Well, we're back from my early birthday dinner at The Cheesecake Factory and I'm STUFFED!! Very, very tasty!!!

We're heading down to S. Florida tomorrow to visit with some friends and their newly remodeled house.

Oh, I definitely think that it's a GREAT idea. Chris actually got the idea from All Pro Dad which is an organization that our old Tampa Bay Bucs coach was involved in, along with a lot of NFL players. It's an organization to help men become better dads. Anyway, the suggested taking your child to school one day, if you don't normally take them. Then, it became that he took her to breakfast and then to school. So now, it's both the girls and they just look forward to "daddy day".

We'll be at Boardwalk before and after the cruise. We will be having a DIS meet at the Beach Club Saturday afternoon in the Solarium (not far from the quiet pool but not at it). We are also doing LTT on the 26th but won't be staying for MNSSHP. I'm really looking forward to the Wishes cruise!

What time were you thinking? Or are we waiting to see if DVC comes through with a Bon Voyage party:boat:

Uh, NO! No Wal-Mart runs for this girl. Actually, Wal-mart is quite a bit farther from my house, anyway. Target is less than 5 minutes away (only about 10 blocks), so it's my store of choice mostly because of convenience. But, also because the people at my Wal-Mart are just SLOW! I don't care how quick I intend a trip to Wal-Mart to be (because of course I don't want to be in there a long time), the cashiers are entirely too slow! I don't know what it is, but it's like they are moving in slow-motion, like I don't have anything else to do.

Anyway, I don't get more than about 1.5 hrs of quiet, but heck, once a week, it's kinda nice to have a quiet morning.
d
I agree about
Walmart, I like some of the choices at Walmart, but the differencefor me is that Target is only 2 miles away and Walmart 8miles, and the clerks at Walmart ARE slow, and even the self checkout lanes don't work very well! I LOVE the self check out lanes at Home Depot, I just wish Lowes had them, too!

We are having a wonderful time at Disneyland and the California Adventure. We saw the Aladdin stage show tonight and it is
WONDERFUL!!!!! There's nothing to compare to it at WDW.

I will say that the CM are more caring, and kinder and just more fun than the ones here.
Both my husband and I agree there's a definate difference in atmosphere here in CA compared to WDW!

Tomorrow we are going to Hollywood, and Santa Monica Pier.

Love to al,
connie

I meant to say the CM's at WDW seem more caring than the ones we have encountered here. Connie

We were thinking somewhere in the 3 pm range. Of course if DVC does come through with a Bon Voyage party we'll just change the plans for the DIS meet to go along with it like we did last time.

We loved the Aladdin stage show! Got a bit of pixie dust for it too. The plan we were on had preferred seating options for the show but when we showed up they were full (they can only take so many - I think 100 or so preferred coupons per show). The other lines were also pretty full so we decided to just wait until the next show. I asked the girl nicely how we could get out and come back. As I was walking away she came back to us and said since we had been so nice (I guess others who got the news were mean and demanding) she put us in a special que that got us in first. We ended up being in the 2nd row!

The show is of the same quality you would see on the ship (Disney Dreams, Golden Mickey's etc.) with the addition of flying elements. Awesome show!
