Good morning Member Cruisers
- we sail in 23 weeks!

Woo Hoo ! We are another week closer to cruising!

party:

It's getting closer but Mary you must be excited for your upcoming cruise!!! Even though we are going to WDW in 7 days I'm still psyched for the cruise. We received the Mickey Monitor yesterday and Tom was commenting on all of the things we'll be able to do between our two trips - Star Tours, F&G, MNSSHP, F&W and of course SSMC06!! We really need some news from DVC!

Happy Mothers Day to all mothers on the DIS!! I hope you have a wonderful day! The weather is still miserable her in the Northeast but we'll make the best of it. I won't be planting the beautiful plants I got until the rain lets up.

Thanks to everyone who commented on my weight loss. I lost another 1.2 pounds for a total of 18.4. If I'm REALLY good this week I could hit my goal on Saturday of 20 pounds before we leave on Sunday for WDW.

The weather is still miserable here in the midwest as well. Cold, wet & dreary. :cold: :umbrella: Mother's Day has been our day to plant the garden for the last several years when the weather cooperates. It seems like any sooner, and we always out there covering the plants because of frost. As chilly as it is right now, it's probably a good thing they aren't in the ground yet.

Hopefully next weekend Walker & I can get them in as Gary & Cameron will be off camping. I have to say, Walker is a trooper when it comes to that kind of stuff, very willing to help so that's not a problem. Sometimes, he's even a bit more eager than the rest of us and we have to corral him so he's not off doing it on his own. ;)

Have a great day everyone! :wizard:

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

To All Past, Present and Future Nurturers!

Thanks for the weekly countdown Mary. My new favorite number is now 23!

Good Morning and Happy Mother's Day to all Mommys. I hope everyone has a wonderful day planned. We have a busy one, at least the first half of the day is going to be busy - birthday party for 5 year-old girl at 10am, then lunch with the ILs at noon. Usually meals with David's family last no more than an hour, but MIL's sisters are in town so we'll probably sit around for a bit longer this time.

Well today has started off no different than any other. I was up with Ian at 6am, cleaned him up and changed him from a leaky diaper, changed the sheets on his bed, fed him breakfast, unloaded/reloaded the dishwasher, got a load of laundry in the washing machine... and it's still only 8am. Well off to clean up a little guy from breakfast and get dressed. To top it off, David's not feeling all that well. So I think I have to take Ian to the party alone then either pick David up for lunch or meet him there.

At least we have beautiful weather here. Sorry for all you with clouds and rain. I'll try to send some of our sun your way. :sunny:

Happy Mother's Day

:cheer2: 23 Weeks til the Member Cruise :cheer2:

Hope all the moms have a nice day out there! It's another yucky day here in Michigan but I'm leaving soon so I'll survive! Can't wait to get down to WDW and I will do my best to see if I can find out anything about the cruise plans or any other DVC related info.

Tonight is DVC chat if you can swing by.

Happy Mothers Day!

Oh it is nice to see that countdown. Thanks Mary.

iluvdisney Mary, Enjoy your trip!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

We're off to Deanna's soccer game in the cold, dreary, wet weather. Then on to John's parents for the afternoon to celebrate Mother's Day with his mom. We got together with my family yesterday to celebrate Mother's Day with my mom.

Have a nice day everyone!

Stacy did you take that class at a Michaels or somewhere local to you?

It's a local privately owned shop called Memory Lane. I know it would have been better if it was at a chain store so that other could take the class, but unfortunately not.

I hope all Mom's & Grandma's have a wonderful day!

Happy Mother's Day!

I have to admit, I can't stand Mother's Day, for me it is the most depressing holiday there is, even worse than Christmas. This year hasn't been to bad for me and I've had a pretty good weekend. One Friday the girls managed to steal Daddy's credit card and ordered me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers filled with my favorites--stargazer lillies and purple irises. Then Friday night Bruce took me to order the Cricut scrapbooking die cut machine I've been drooling over for a month now. He tries so hard to make it better for me. This morning we got up and went out for breakfast, came home played with the girls for a little bit and now Emma and I are off to the movies!! It's her first time in a theater, so I'm a bit nervous, but we're going to see The Wild at the cheapy theater, so if she can't make it, I'll only be out $4. :lmao: Bruce is staying home while Julia naps. I'm thinking he'll be napping too, but he deserves a break too!

I should be in chat tonight. It's ebay shipping night.....my favorite night of the week!

Happy Mother's Day!

Robin, send that rain my way. With all these brush fires lately we need it!!

Diana, I feel the same way about Father's Day. :sad1:  My Dad passed away the day before Father's Day -- so it's my hard holiday. The only thing I have on my side is Father's Day is never the anniversary of his death -- as he died on Flag Day.

I remember the first movie I took Cameron to see -- Barney's grand adventure or something like that. We were the only 2 in the theatre so it didn't matter how he acted. Surprisingly, he sat very well. I take my daycare kids to the cheap/free movies all summer long. Amazing how well they sit for them. :thumbsup2 I hope you have fun.

Nothing special for us today -- we just came home from a major family trip to Sam's Club. Gary's taking the boys out to the train store later this afternoon. I have a daycare interview set up. pixiedust:

Mary, you are forever imbedded in Walker's thoughts -- we MUST buy the veggie tray every time he sees one. We came home, made sandwiches, and had strict instructions that we MUST eat the veggies first! :teeth: Mary, next time you come to visit, we'll have to make sure we have one so Walker can make sure you eat your veggies first. :rotfl2: For those who don't know, Mary isn't a vegetable eater but when Mark & Mary came here for a BBQ, they brought a vegetable tray which started Walker wanted them all the time. ::yes::

That's great that Walker wants to eat his veggies now! I have to admit I usually bring a veggie tray whenever we go to friends for a BBQ. It's a healthy alternative to the chips, cheese and crackers that are on the table.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Been a GREAT day here. Supposed to be 80 degrees. I got strawberry pancakes this morning and we are going out to my Sister's so the guys can make us dinner tonight! :thumbsup2

Received flowers from the farmer's market, chocolates and CASH! My DH knows what I like! :lmao:

Have a great day everyone! :sunny:

I hear ya', Diana. Ever since I lost my Mom 11 years ago, I hate Mother's Day. And it seems like the media makes a bigger deal of it every year. Yippee. Christmas is still worse for me, though, since I've lost my Mom and my brother, it's doubly sad and painful. :sad1:

Having said all this, let me add that I hope that all the Moms out there have a wonderful Mother's Day. I don't begrudge anyone their happiness, on what should be a special day. :flower3:

Happy Mother's Day everyone!!!

I've had a busy 24 hours since my brother and his family got here.

We went to breakfast this morning at Cracker Barrell with my mom. Then, we came back to the house to visit. Then, at around 11:30am, all the girls and my nephew headed to Tampa for Princesses on Ice (which was fantastic). And, the boys took off for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays baseball game. We both got home about the same time and then made dinner. We had caesar salad, steak, shrimp & scallops and baked potatoes. Boy, am I stuffed!!!

Now, my brother and his family have gone back to their hotel and it has quieted down around here. I'm going to try to make it to chat tonight.

I hope everyone had a good day today. I don't know if I'll be in chat tonight. It's the Survivor finale and I don't want to miss it. Annmarie

We did training thursday night on propane tank fires. In the dark and rain the pics came out rather interesting. Thought you all might like to see some of the fun things we get to do.
