 oops! I missed a couple of travelers.

Carol & Gail, have a great trip to Disneyland!!! :cheer2:

Carol & Gail - have a great trip to Disneyland! Say hi to Dumbo in the hub for me :)

Cindy - have a great camping trip!

The bags are packed and loaded in the car, waiting for John to get home from work. Then we will pick Deanna up from school, stop and get a bite to eat and head to the airport. We have a 5 PM flight to LA. This is our first ever trip to Disneyland! :woohoo:

Carol (scrappy910) and her dh left this morning about 8 am, so they will be there long before we leave. We're staying at the Disneyland Hotel on points. :Pinkbounc

Cindy have a fun camping trip this weekend.

Mark & Mary - enjoy your time at WDW, and your VERY MAGICAL CRUISE. Have a creme brulee for me (ah, while you're at it, have one for Steve too!)

Bye everyone - talk to you all sometime on Tuesday! :wave2:

Happy Trails to everyone going on vacation. No trips for us until next weekend. Booked a last minute stay (love mom and those CM discounts :cheer2: ) for next Friday night at Coronado. We'll be going to Blizzard Beach (free with mom's discount  ) on Friday, then meeting Cheryl, Todd, Jeff, Mark & Mary for dinner on Saturday night.

Ok, I'm trying to catch up, but I know I will forget something I read.

Cindy, Sorry to hear about Walker...hope he is ok.

WB...Karen and Curt!

Mary, That Dumbo is soooo cute!

Diana and Stacy...Have fun at the view.

To all who are traveling hope your trips are safe and fun!

And to anyone else who I forgot...Sorry! My mind is on vacation mode, and not all here...I leave tomorrow morning for a reunion with one of my closest girlfriends from HS. We have a great weekend planned, and I'm feeling a little guilty because I am leaving my girls behind with grandma. I never travel without them unless its for work. I guess I feel like this because they are getting older, and want to stay with grandma all the time. But I know they will be safe. Hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend.

There is a new project manager heading up the cruise this time. I've heard that's the reason for the change in how frequently we've received information. Jeff (copper3 if you do a search on him) posted not long ago that instead of getting several email updates spread out over time, we were going to get one update. It seems that plans aren't solidified yet as to who the guests on board are going to be and DVC doesn't want to commit to something they have to recind late.

No, IMO, you are no being too demanding. A lot of us feel that DVC is missing in not giving us some information. Even a little tid bit would be something.

Thanks cgcw and Scratch 42, I'm just sooooo nosey. I want to know what's going on. :teeth:

Mary, Dumbo is one of favorite characters and that one is just darling.

Just wanted to share some good news about Dad1 He and Mom are in Houston today meeting with the team at MD Anderson and he has been accepted into the program. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc It's quite a relief for all of us!

We should know more later today as to how soon he'll start down there - looks to be 2 weeks or so.

Julie - great news! Continued prayers and pixie dust heading your Dad's way!

I'm bacccckkkk!!! :wave2:

A few highlights from my trip -

I had a great room to leave the dh in at SSR - 1823 - he had a great view of Pleasure Island and the quiet pool. I left very early last Thurs morning to meet up with some DISers at AK and to pick up Karen's luggage - they rode EE - I didn't do too well with it the night before.

My cruise with Karen was so awesome - I had such a great time and the interesting part about it was that we can finish each other's sentences - looking forward to cruising with her on the Member Cruise. She got us an awesome room - 5010 and I must say I felt spoiled. We also enjoyed the company of the DVC desk person - he was fun to kid around with and we did have a small DVC party while on board - we all won prizes!!! There was so much more but I am still unpacking while I type this.

I then returned to pick up dh at SSR on Sunday and head over to OKW - we finally got a room around 5 pm - nice and close to HH - room 2826. It was within walking distance of everything we needed. I also found myself going around and checking the buildings with GVs so I could hope to get one I want in December for the family time.

I did go over and play WWTBAM and came in a close 2nd on the fastest finger - a first for me!

Enjoyed B.J. Thomas and another great blast from the past - the Rascals!!! Hearing the old tunes sure did bring back memories. Enjoyed all the parks and only did a few things at each since I was "on vacation" and decided to do some relaxing this time.

All in all, it was probably one of the best trips I've had in a while - never did spot Curt and Karen who were also there.

Mary - that dumbo fig is so cute!

Hope everyone who is going on their trips has a great time - I'll try and catch up on all the reading now.

Forgot to add that I did make it over to another Member Update and still no info to share about the Member Cruise - I just don't know how to find the right people I guess.

Mary - sounds like you have a great vacation!

Ours has officially started. Got to leave work a little early. Then Mark and I went out to dinner (a tradition on the night before we leave so we don't have to cook or clean). :) Tried a brank new place for us Bonefish Grill - very nice! Cindy they have one in Schaumburg as well. We even had creme brulee for dessert! (we split it).

I've started an "almost live" thread over on the trip reports board and will try to log in every day with some updates.

So tonight we do the very last bit of packing then head off to bed. We fly out tomorrow morning at 8 am!

Have a fun trip! We already kicked ours off right with the creme brulee. :)

There's a new restaruant to the area called Bonefish Grill. Nice, kind of upscale, but not too much so. Kind of like a laid back version of Macaroni Grill. Nice straightforward 1 page menu, good atmosphere, great food, and yes, a CB for dessert big enough for Mary and I to split one.

We always start off with a good dinner the night before to get the trip going and to avoid cleanup :)

Mary- Glad you had a great time, I kind of thought you would, Karen's kind of the sister you never had from my point of view.

Mark and Mary, have a fun trip.

As for Bonefish, they are owned by Outback.

I totally agree Mark! I'm so glad that we will be roomies on the Member Cruise together - I know we will have so much fun!

Hi! Stacy and I survived our trip to NYC. I have to admit, I was so happy to be home. You never realize how much you truly miss a place until you go back. We had an awesome time, and you can see our big TV appearance one week from tomorrow, Friday June 2nd! :cool1: Sitting through the taping was so cool. We got to see Jennifer Anniston and Jeff Corwin who brought along the cutest animals! It was awesome, we couldn't have asked for better guests! And the ladies of the View were very nice in person, but alot skinnier than they look on TV! :lmao: It was really hard to take good pictures because of the weird lighting in the studio and we could only photograph during commercials, but here's a good shot:

And while waiting in line we got to see several All My Children actors, but I don't watch that show, so I don't know their names! :lmao:

Safe travels to everyone going away this weekend! I'll catch up when I have some time tomorrow!
