Ohh, I am!! I am!!! But, I'm guessing that you're not surprised by that, since we're long lost sisters.:rotfl2:

I agree on the Reality TV, it really is my guilty pleasure. I like SO many of them. Last night, I watched Fear Factor - Reality Stars (which isn't my favorite, but I liked seeing the reality stars doing weird stuff) and Last Comic Standing. I also like Hell's Kitchen right now.

I DVRd Fear Factor last night because we had Margarita Moms Night Out. (Did anyone think I'd miss out on that? :drinking1 ) I usually don't watch FF anymore, but I saw the reality people were on it and got sucked right in. Last week was crazy with Jonathan attacking the host. That guy is a nut case!

I'm so mad that I have to wait until 8 tonight to find out who the 20 we can vote for are! But I read that even though the viewers are voting, we only pick some of them, the director/producer picks the last 5 to bring in the evil hated people to cause trouble! :stir:

I'm hoping Kaysar is back myself!

Robin, that looks like some major work going on with the addition. I'm not sure I have the patience for something like that.

We always said when Walker went to first grade, we were going to either add an upstairs or push the back of the house out to meet the garage. But, now that he's on his way, we're second guessing that thought process. Cameron is pretty set on staying here so moving isn't an option -- even to a house in the same area. And, in our neck of the woods, they are doing these tear downs where the completely tear down the existing home and rebuild it with a new one. Our biggest complaint (besides the fact that we have outgrown this house about 10 years ago) is that we don't have a basement and absolutely no storage other than the garage. Closet space is a premium around here. There is a section not far from us where there are new, bigger homes going up daily. Just a couple weeks ago, one started just a couple blocks from us so we know the wave is coming this way and it's starting to look like financially, it might be a bad move to do an addition instead of serioiusly considering a tear down/rebuild on our lot.

We'd definately have to find a rental home for us for the time they would be doing something like that. There is no way we could stay here.

We'll see what developes in the next year or so.
They're doing that a lot in this area too. It seems like every time I turn around there's a new house going up where an old one used to be. Either that or they're gutting the house and totally redoing/adding on. Most houses in this area are 30-40 years old. But our house is actually only about 12 years old. There are 10 houses in this "neighborhood" all built 8-12 years ago. Most were built with 3-car garages, but ours wasn't and that's what promted all this.

As for patience, well you could say mine wears a little thin at times. Like when they were turning the water off and on and off and on... to move some lines. I swear it's because of that that the water heater in the kitchen started leaking which got into the wall between the kitchen and the den and caused damage to the base boards and MORE damage to the hard woods. I had to put foam mats - you know the puzzle piece kind - over a section of floor to keep from killing our feet and/or breaking the wood more, until we get it fixed. And I really don't like that we don't have a locked door to the laundry room right now! But in the end I'm sure we're going to be happy we did this. (I'm quite excited about my future scrapping room.)

Is this a surprise! :rolleyes1

Ian and I are off for a busy morning - appointment downtown then back to this area for Little Gym. Guess I'd better go wake him now so we can get going. I have a feeling I'll be coming back to pages and pages later on. Have fun...

My ambulance commute is 28 miles each way BUT I only work two days a week. The Fire Station here is 2 miles.

Boy you guys are very chatty early in the morning, I am exhausted. The dog got sick last night so I was up with him until late. Luckily Todd comes back from MA on Thursday.

BTW did you guys seethe new laundry smiley?
:laundy:

I keep my job because of the commute and associated (non)expenses. I work 3miles from home, even come home to let the dogs out at lunchtime, breaks up the day a bit.
I can wear jeans and tshirts, they pay for one or two conferences a year (this year AZ in Sept :-)) and Chicago next July. I get 5wks vacation a year (been there 10yrs). The only drawback is the pay reallllllly stinks. Problem is any time I start pricing out other jobs between gas, wardrobe, parking, commute time etc. seems this job wins out. So I'm stuck in a poor paying job with decent perks. Oh yeah, I pay a ton for HMO Blue too even with 1000 deductible :-(

OH AMY...not the skyline bridge!!!! I'm am so freaked out by bridges. One of my worst experiences happened in FL on the skyline bridge. I was coming back from WDW (big surprise) to my MIL rental house in Ft. Myers late at night (as we closed the parks), it was about 1am and it was just me and my DD, DS and DN in the backseat. I wasn't totally sure where I was going and before I knew it this HUGE bridge was looming in front of me with no option to turn around. I cried across the bridge but made it..whew!

Hey Ilene - I'll be in AZ in Sept too!! I'm sure that it'll be at different times, but that's too funny. I'll be in Phoenix from 9/6 through 9/10 for a scrapbooking event.

Thankfully, no, not the skyline bridge. I used to just drive over the Howard Frankland, which goes over Tampa Bay from north St. Pete into Tampa. However, I have driven over the Skyline several times. It's an awesome bridge!! We went over it once while a Carnival Cruise ship was sailing underneath us.

WOW! Major chatting going on this morning! Thanks for all the well wishes on the new job!:grouphug:

Good Luck Today Gail!!!!!!pixiedust:

btw, shared this on my other thread and thought I'd share it here:

:butterfly :daisy: :flower1: HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SUMMER!!!!! :flower1: :daisy: :butterfly

which means at some point today Mike will inform me that from this point forward the days will get shorter. He knows I HATE that!!!!

I just LOVE those neat smilies you all put on your posts! I don't seem to have that option. There are about 21 for me to choose from! HOW CAN I GET MORE SMILIES?

oh, and good luck, Gail!

I couldn't believe how many posts I had to read.....we had to leave this AM without coffee or breakfast......all three of us had to have blood drawn, and Patrick had a Chirpractor's appt. Then we went to the library, out to lunch at our NEW Orlando Ale House! Taco Salads all around! mmmmmm!;)

Anyway, Chuck's brother was just diagosed with Prostate Cancer, so I immediately called our doctor to get Chuck a PSA test done, which he's never had, so he can have a baseline.

Now we are waiting for the Physical Therapist to come for Patrick's treatment.

Hey, we saw Cars yesterday! It was really good! I didn't think I would like it because I'm not a NASCAR fan, but I loved the movie, and the music is great! :woohoo: Pat rocked out the whole time!

bye bye!

Awww Amy,
We just miss each other. I'll be in Phoenix at the Squaw Peak Resort from the 18-21. But we are going a few days early (15th) to do the Sedona/Grand Canyon bit. I've done it before but I love it. I'll be there for a Nutrition and Breastfeeding Conference sponsored by WIC (my employer). BTW, I'm a lactation consultant.

:thumbsup2 Hey everybody! I just got the neatest Lilo and Stitch Postcard from Disneycruiselines advertising their summer cruises! It's got Lilo and Stitch on a hammock by the sea with the Disney cruise ship in the backround, and when you move the postcard up and down, it looks like Liko is playing the uke for Stitch and he is dancing! Verycool! :cool1:

I'm not a NASCAR fan either and I loved the movie. And you're right, the music from Cars is great. Emma isn't even 3 yet and she comes to the computer and asks me to play Cars music. On their website, you can play the first minute of each song on the soundtrack. I actually looked in Target and Walmart here for the soundtrack to get it for the car for her, and they didn't have it.

:goodvibesBest Wishes for a
speedy recovery to Gail!
:goodvibes
Hope your up and about and ready to party:really soon!

Yowza! :faint:
Boy it's hard to keep up on the boards when life gets in the way!
The past couple of day's I've barely been able to keep up with reading the posts never mind trying to post myself!

First off.... OMG 10,000 Posts!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

To Gail & Ilene - pixiedust: Pixiedust & Prayers for all that you both are going thru.

Robin - Looks like you have a lot going on. Hopefully the weather stays nice so thay can get that addition completed on time!

Ok I already lost track of what else I was going to comment on. My brain is a little fried today. :joker:
