Just to update you on my condition. The Dx is in: ruptured disc at C5 and C6 with associated mild nerve damage to the left arm. I am to have a nerve block done on Thursday but want to do some research about it first. I think other than surgery, it might be my only option for relieving the pain. :-( No work for awhile either I guess. Not fun. Hope to be better real soon.
Ilene, one of the people in my office has had 3 of the nerve blocks. She says that she would avoid the surgery at all costs. She says that the blocks worked really well.

:figment:

I am eating something deliciously Evil right now...

It is a Pizza styled after Snuffer's chrrse fry's....

"Heart Attack on Cardboard" is what some call it....

Great setiment for page 666......

Curt and Karen so sorry to hear about your cat. That is such a hard thing to go through. I am getting worried about our dalmation that is 10. She is having a hard time getting around lately but other times she is out in the yard chasing the kids around.

Is it that her back end just gives out at any time and she ends up dragging herself to where she's going? That's what's going on with Penny, our 13 year old Dal. I'm so sad because she's getting worse each day. We have 3 steps from the outside door up to the kitchen and she falls down them every time now. Today I spent 10 minutes struggling to get her up the steps. I ended up in tears. She's a good dog, she still eats well and has a great temperment and loves the girls. I'm just not ready to let her go.

Ilene - keeping you in my thoughts and prayers that the doctors find something to take away the pain without surgery.

I've got a funny story for you. Tom had surgery several months ago and was in the hospital for 8 days. He was on IV fluids without any food for the first 3 days. Then switched to liquids for 2 days. On the 6th day, food services came by with a menu for him. He was SOOO excited! He ordered french toast with maple syrup for breakfast. In the morning, someone dropped off his tray and there was a bowl and a cup of tea but no french toast. He called the young woman back into the room and explained there must be an error because he ordered french toast. The young woman smiled and said there wasn't an error. Just opened the lid to the bowl and said the french toast was pureed!!! He was now on a soft foods diet! Needless to say he didn't eat it. The moral of the story is be careful what you order!

Annmarie

I can't even begin to imagine what the looked like -- let alone smelled like.

Yuck!! :crazy2:

I really thought I was doing a good job of keeping caught up in this thread, but I find myself 2 days and 7 pages behind at the moment. It's been like Grand Central Station around here lately so not much time to sit on the computer. Yesterday the wall of the garage was removed and today part of the roof has come down. I have some great pics, just need to resize before I post. Now to go back and read all I've missed...

Diana, that's such a cute picture of the girls. I guess you have a couple of pilots-in-training on your hands, neither wanting to be the co.

  • Not counting Disney in any way (including DCL) what has been your most memorable vacation? It's a toss up between Hong Kong & back in 1997, about a month before control went back to China, with my sister and Aruba for Honeymoon Part 1 with David.
  • In honor or Gail - how many times have you been to the hospital? 5
  • Do you have any regular summer outings you take? (Family reunion, festivals, etc.) No
  • Do you have AP's to Disney? Yes
  • Do you have a DDE card? Yes
  • How do you capture your vacation memories: Film, Digital, Video? Digital and Video

Oh Ilene - I sure hope that they can relieve some of your pain, quickly!!!

PD pixiedust: for Gail and Ilene to feel better real soon!

Mary and Curt & Karen, so sorry to hear about the loss of your cats. pixiedust: I know y'all will miss them, but I'm sure you have wonderful memeries.

I'm waiting on an ebay auction to end, hopefully in my favor. Today when I got home the workers asked what's on the other side of the water heaters because they heard something fall. It's our bathtub and at first I didn't think anything of it. But then I remembered that I had a Disney Classics Collection piece - Jessica & Roger Rabbit - on the shelf over the tub. My heart just sank when I saw it smashed in out tub. That was the first real gift I gave to David when we were dating. So now I'm trying to win another. Wish me luck.

:cool1: Woohoo!!! I won. And it only took one bid on my part.

We went to a little farm by us this morning. The kids thought it was great to try and catch the little chickens that were roaming around.

Here's a couple pictures of my kids:
Walker and two of his friends:
