Reading this, I thought of another GTKYFKK question. Maybe it's been asked, but I have short term memory so I'll ask again.

If you could have any job at WDW, what would it be?

I want to drive the monorail. I want to have a hand in getting people to the parks but more importantly, I want it to be a magical experience for the people sitting up front. This is something we do several times each trip. And, sadly, I can't tell you the number of times we've had a monorail driver who doesn't make any eye contact or doesn't even utter a "hi" :sad2: . It's such a special place to ride and the awe of seeing the track in front of you is so neat that I think the person driving it should make it special too!

Gary wants to drive the boat from the GF & Poly over to the MK. The people with the blue & white striped shirts and white pants/shorts. Not the ferry boat, but the smaller boat.

Back to trying to catch up. :moped:

I can totally see Gary in one of those striped shirts as he'd make the perfect boat captain! As for me, I don't wear horizontal stripes so that job is out! :lmao:

What do I want to be? I want to be a buyer. Buy the merchandise/coordinate importing stuff like that. When I first got out of college, I worked at US Customs for a broker. We coordinated customs clearance for overseas and Canadian shipments. I want to do what my old clients did. Since I don't like talking to strangers, most WDW jobs are out for me. :rotfl:

Good morning everyone! Getting a slow start this morning.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :chat: Congratulations Julie on 1000 posts! :chat: :cheer2: :cheer2:
Keep them coming!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :chat: Congratulations Karen on 300 posts! :chat: :cheer2: :cheer2:
Somehow I don't picture you as the quiet one in your family. ;)

I don't think so, Diana. I doubt I will ever have 17,000 posts. Once this cruise is done, I won't have a "home" to post at even if there is another DVC member event.    I know this is my last member event unless they are planned during school breaks -- which I don't see happening based on what has been offered.

I think we should start a thread over on the community board. :scared: I know, it's the CB, but hey, it would be our thread so it wouldn't be that :scared: -- maybe a little  but it would be a new home.

OMG - I didn't realize I was up to that milestone already. Didn't I just do 16,000?

So here's to my friends on SSMC06 - the cruise may be over in October but the friendships will last for many years to come!

You are right Gail - many good friendships. I know some of the others on the May cruise are wondering what they are going to do after the cruise is over. I'm lucky that I have this thread going. I agree with Cindy that we need to find a home after this one. Whether we stick with this thread of start one over on the CB. I'm up for it either way. I just don't want to lose touch with all the great people I've met through these threads!

Well, I figured they didn't have enough reasons to post so I'd help them along. :teeth:

I just posted my congrats over there too! Anything to boost my post count to catch up with some of you! ;)

Wow - lots of reading to do this morning to catch up with all of you! :surfweb:

Out of town company coming in today so I should not be here but I should be finishing up the cleaning around here since I wasn't home much yesterday. Baby Christopher wasn't feeling so great so I went over to dd's to check him out - he sounded congested so she called the dr - he seemed to be doing much better by the time I went over again last night to sit with dd while her dh went out for a bit.
Chris - I was happy to see that you protected your new palm trees from the cold weather last night - hope they are doing okay today and enjoying the sunshine!

Karen - thanks for the invite to join you and Curt - I'll most likely take you up on that! I have my costume for the party!!!

As to the GTKYFKK question - I was a stay at home mom with 20 years of volunteering at the local schools - used to run the Publishing Center at the elementary school and then went over and worked as a Music Booster parent with the choir program at the high school. It was a lot of fun and a lot of work. Now I am just a "Domestic Slave" who does as much around here as possible like mowing lawns, home repairs, etc.
I really would like to work at WDW someday and I was talking with our Disney Ambassador on the last member cruise about that. He was giving me some ideas on what I should persue! I also ran into him at the Member Mixer in December and he remembered who I was!!! That was really cool.

Congrats to all the big posters with their high numbers - wow - that's a lot of posting!!!

I just went to the DVC Member Web sight and looked at my 06 UY points and noticed there were a few less points than last time I looked. Our waitlist for BCV before the Member Cruise came through!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Anyone else? Check your waitlists everyone! DD will be so excited! We are still waitlisted for after the cruise so hopefully that one comes through too!!!! Great way to start the day!!! :thumbsup2

I think that we asked this question for SSMC05, so it's new for this group.

I think that I would like to be a tour guide for MK. I think that it would be cool to show people the stuff behind the scenes.

Chris says that he would like to be in transportation (buses, train, monorail, boats).

I think that's a GREAT idea, Cindy!! I'm sure that a LOT of us will still keep in touch after SSMC06!!!
