Congrats on your 1000th post! :cheer2: I just noticed, I'm not sure which post was exactly it though!

So 4 years later, I can haul all my wedding attire back to the MK for a portrait session? Somehow I think after giving birth to 2 children, my dress isn't going to fit like it used to! :lmao:

And I have to admit--I kind of liked the pink castle. Not for my wedding pictures, that's for sure. It was nice for the year is was there, but I was happy to the regular one return.
What's funny is that I was thinking, wow, Diana could go back and get her pictures taken at the castle. But, I was also thinking, I'm sure that you've changed some in the few years that you've been married. However, you could always do it for an anniversary, just so you could have that cool castle shot!!! I would be tempted!!!

And, I agree with you about the pink castle. I did like it (a little) but I was glad when it went back to normal. I think that the worst part about it was seeing it in different states of pink/grey. It was icky!!! But, I really like the castle now for the Happiest Celebration on Earth, with the gold and the subtle characters.

did you guys see the news on the new dining option at MGM? It's geared toward preschoolers....

New Playhouse Disney Character Dining at Hollywood & Vine in Disney-MGM Studios starts June 25, 2006.

Starting today, April 25, 2006, reservations can be made for a NEW character breakfast or lunch at Hollywood & Vine at Disney-MGM Studios. (Dinner will continue to be a NON-character meal.) Characters featured include: JoJo and Goliath from JoJo's Circus and June and Leo from the Little Einsteins. The meals will be hosted by the Playhouse Pals, who will entertain diners with Playhouse Disney songs and dancing.

I saw this last night and I have to admit, I got a little teary over it, I was so excited. My girls LOVE LOVE LOVE Little Einsteins and JoJo, but most of all Einsteins. To the point where some days, Emma only answers to "June" (the little dancer girl) and makes me call Julia "Annie" (the blonde singer). Me, I'm Leo and she calls me Leo--in public places like Walmart and the mall. And you guess it, Bruce is Quincy. She now refers to our car as "rocket". I won't post my option of it on the Restaurant Board for fear I'd get mamed by the throngs of Toy Story Meal disappointees, but I'm so excited!! Little Einsteins has taught the girls so much about classical music and musical instruments. I love the show, and I'm happy to see something at MGM for the little ones to do. Now I have to figure out when we can fit this into the very busy schedule I have planned for October! :lmao:

I'm with you on that one Diana!! I love the idea of the Playhouse Disney breakfast/lunch. My girls are going to love it. Right now their favorites are Little Einstein's and JoJo (and Dora, but we won't talk about that here). Madison's birthday party is going to have a JoJo's Circus theme.

The new dining is grand for those with younger kids esp since MGM does not really cater to that age group much. I wish it was more for boys/toy story, but I think it's going to do really well!

I have another get to know your fellow cruisers question. What does everyone do for a living?

QUOTE]
I work at a dental office as the office manager/dental assistant. Great hours and I always get the vacation time I need. :cool1:

My job is strictly volunteer, but I love it. For 12 years I was a Children's Leader at the Bible Study Fellowship class in Evansville, IN. Our Bible Study Fellowship class is a Bible study for women of all ages, and women who have preschool children (or grandchildren) can bring them along where there is a special class for the children. That's where I came in. As a Children's Leader, I would tell the children a story, teach them Bible songs, and just have fun in general. It's almost like a Christian preschool. Last year I became the Assistant Children's Supervisor at BSF. My job includes buying snacks, arranging for classroom volunteers (mom helpers), taking attendance, and just looking after things in general.

If you want to read more about BSF, their website is www.bsfinternational.org

DH Ken sold farm equipment for many years, but now has his own company that builds modular track systems for use on construction equipment.

I actually liked the cakestle but can see where it wouldn't be popular with brides. Since the Wedding Chapel wasn't around when we were married (not that we could have gotten married there any way) we went one day after it was open and DH took a picture of the arch with the castle in the background. Then he photoshopped our wedding picture into it. :)

I am an emergency nurse and my dh is a fire chief. We met a the hospital that I work at when he brought in patients. I only work casual so I can pick and choose when I work and who I work with.

Gee, it's been really busy here and I'm just getting around to answering this.

I am a licensed daycare provider. I care for chidren in my home. I started about 10 years ago when Cameron was a baby. I always wanted a huge family, it just wasn't in the cards for me. So, I borrow other peoples children during the day and have a hand in helping them become wonderful little people.

OK, I am a computer applications/systems tester which means I test computer programs/systems that other people develop/program. I used to be a progammer but was asked to take a testing assignment about 7 years ago and have not gone back to programming, yet. Testing is also called quality assurance and the related title qould be quality assurance analyst. For the most part it is a pretty easy job and because of it being pretty easy, a lot of jobs get farmed to India. That is one reason why I am out of work a lot. Now that I have moved to Florida I plan on going for my master's in a year (because it's cheaper as a resident) and switching to either programming or some type of database work. That interests me more.

Jeff, prior to having Cameron, I was a programmer as well. I never looked to do this type of a job, in fact, I had a boss who took pity on me when I was going through my divorce and put me into the job knowing I couldn't do it. I was sent to school a couple days a week at the local college in order to catch up/learn the skills I needed to do the job. It really was a very generous opprotunity from the company and my boss. But, it was truly never my cup of tea.

I do always say that if I were to ever return to the real workforce, I would try and go back to that same company. I would pick up my seniority and pension which would continue as if I never left. However, I know that I could not go back to the technology area. First, because I didn't like it, and second, my technical skills are very outdated.

If we want to do a meet that night, I'd be willing to keep the list for this event.

Did anyone take you up on your offer?

I'd love to meet up for fireworks or something that night. :thumbsup2

See, and all this time, I thought you were selling your kids stuff on ebay just to put food in their mouths. :sad2: :lmao:

Hi there all.
Let me see if I can catch up with everything.
Where o where has that sunshine gone? :confused3 :sunny: :confused3 Cold and dreary (like Diana mentioned) we even have frost warnings for tomorrow

:cheer2: Happy (belated) Birthday Brooke!! :cheer2:

We love the F&W Festival. I am adventurous and like to try new things so I love walking from Kiosk to Kiosk to sample the foods they have. I would love to do the Food of the Senses one of these days!

Julie, it sound like the Wedding plans are coming along great. On one of the other threads a lady had a link to see her pictures that were done in front of the castle and they looked awesome! I can only imagine how wonderful yours will be (especially since you and Matt are a much cuter couple). I can't wait to see those pics!!

Ok I am currently employed for New York State. I am a Tax Compliance Rep. which translates to collector. I issue Tax Liens, Levy bank accts, Garnish wages and look for assets to Seize! And sometimes issue bills and do a little skip tracing on deadbeats... I mean taxpayers. Jeff on the other hand is an auditor with the State so he primarily looks for people to issue bills against who didn't pay something that they were supposed to. I don't get to travel for my position but Jeff does. Sometimes he will argue cases with Taxpayers with a conferee who makes a decisions or go to appeals court.

Hi everyone .. We are back from a GREAT WEEK at Disney. Who said Spring Break is crowded. HA HA HA... It is so nice not to feel like you have to do everything though. It really helps with the crowd aspect. We did the Dining Plan.. LOTS of good food for dinners. Time for the lettuce and water diet.

What do I do? I work for a mortgage company. I am in Loss Mitigation. I try and help people save their homes and not have to go though a complete foreclosure. It is very interesting and most of the time very rewarding. We are extremely busy still POST KATRINA --- we are the Master Servicer for the state of Louisiana and the City Of New Orleans first time home buyers. Very challenging. DH is also in the computer field at the same bank. His job has changed again. He now is in server support instead of field support.

And now for a Cruise related question??????
I just got back from Sam's club - had to pick up 200 of the 300 pictures I took this trip. I know I remember seeing this mentioned somewhere in these 500+ pages:
How many of you bring the rolling collapsable coolers on board? Do you take these on Castaway Cay?
Does anyone bring their own snorkle, mask and fins?

I saw all of these at Sams. $25 for a "52 can cooler" with off road wheels ;)
and the snorkle set was 40 for adults and 25 for kids?

That is all for now... :wizard:

We've never taken anything to CC, except for our swimsuits/coverups and beach toys for the girls. They have all the food/drink on CC, so I don't bother with anything else.

As for the snorkle mask, I don't snorkle, but Chris does and he just rents them from DCL.

We bring our own masks/snorkels. My mask has perscrption lenses in it.

We do not bring a cooler on DCL or CC. Like Amy said there is no need.

We do bring snorkel tubes and mask, no fins or life vest (disney requires a life vest and provides them at no charge). We do not share a snorkel tube (germs). I know who's mouth has been snorkeling with my tube :lmao:

I have been a Dental Hygienist for 15 years. I have been at the same office for 13 years and I am ready for a change. I will be giving my notice in 1 month and hope to take the summer off. I have 2 more job interviews this week so who knows. I just know I will either have a new job closer to home or have a GREAT summer vacation! :lmao:

DH has worked @ Intel for 11 years. He is a Physical Design Specialist. Basically he helps design all the new up and coming computer chips. Keep upgrading your computers! :thumbsup2

We were planning on eating here @ Christmas time. I think we will rethink this dinning choice since DD no longer hangs out with Playhouse Disney Pals
