Banana Boat Ride

Peel out for a wild ride on an inflatable banana boat! Feel the gentle ocean spray as you bump and skim across the sparkling Caribbean waters, pulled from behind a motor boat.

Port:Castaway CayActivity Type::Water SportsActivity Level:ModerateAges:8 And UpDuration:15-20 minutes

Additional Information

• Guests must be at least 8 years of age and be able to swim.
• Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older.

Price is $15 each for adults or kids.

Okay, now we're in! This sounds like FUN!

She has quite a few clients this week, school is out here so everybody is taking a spring trip. She's actually collapsing into bed at night instead of logging on herself. I've been keeping her up to date through my lurking.


So can she play too? Can she huh?

As far as I'm concerned, the more the merrier! Looks like we might need two boats, but that's fine with me!

OK girls, have any of you ever been on a banana boat before? I'm just wondering for some pointers regarding the side betting for who will fall of first .

We are planning to purchase AP's. In order to get an AP discount (if available) on MNSSHP tickets can you have a voucher or do you actually have to have an AP in hand? Anyone know

I talked to DVC MS and ordered our AP's. Apparently the vouchers have a number on them that you can use if there is a discount for MNSSHP. So, as long as you have the vouchers in hand you should be able to get the discount if it is available. Ours will arrive next week. Hoping to get MNSSHP for Thursday the 26th. Would not be too funny if this was not a AP discount night since I paid $10.00 for shipping the vouchers instead of will call

I just read the thread that Mary posted about the Banana Boats. It sounds like it is going to be a blast.

Jeff I don't think any of us has rode them - so you are on your own for taking bets as to who will fall off first.

By the way, the guys will NOT be allowed to talk to the boat driver before he takes us out on the BB. Trust me we won't need any help in getting us to fall off the BB!

That's funny because I was reading that thread too! I know I should be finishing my cleaning, but I'm taking a break! It does sound like a lot of fun and it looks like the boat holds 10 people.

About the guys not talking to the boat driver---I don't think we should tell the guys what time our ride is. That will save us all from the video, the pics and the days of harrasment and jokes that will follow I'm sure!

So, Walker says, hey, lets weight all of us, including the babies and see what the total is. There was a little ramp so I rolled the 2 little ones, along with the double stroller onto the scale. Total was 101#!!! No wonder I'm tired at the end of the day.

So, when you are giving out estimates of 60-70-80#, you might want to reconsider that amount.

You are actually right. I was adding 34 lbs for Emma and 30 lbs for Julia saying 64 lbs. But I know my double stroller weight 34 lbs. That would make a grand total of 98 lbs!!!

Never fear I am an experienced banana boat rider and will supervise and provide tips before hand.

There are ways to make those in the back pop off and it's quite fun but I here and now promise not to do that to you unless you ask or if the group figures it out on their own! My mother is still a bit upset about the trip she took with us back in high school.... lol and she can FLY! I will tell the story on the beach post banana ride.

Oh and no worries getting back on, we can heave each other up - just have to make sure those already upright stay that way and can assist with flopping legs over the side.

I'm way excited about this!
