We did a stingray swim in Grand Cayman. It was really cool. They give you squid to feed to the stingray - they show you how to hold it and the stingray swims over and just sucks it right out of your hand. They are velvety feeling - ok, it's probably slime. They don't bother you but it is freaky when they swim by and bump your leg. The guide we had, picked up a stingray and was giving us back massages with it and of course kisses. The funny part was when he brought the stingray out of the water and the stingray spit water on you. A really cool excursion and you will be happy you did it!

Wow I had a lot of reading to do.

I want to thank everyone for the Anniversary wishes.
Unfortunately Jeff & I didn't even see much of each other today.
I even forgot what day it was because I had other things on my mind.
I had to go to Yonkers with my Dad for his cousins funeral so I forgot that today was my anniversary until after one of my relatives mentioned anniversaries and I had to think about what day today was it hit me. I was like oh yea today is my 15th Wedding Anniversary.

But, am I reading this right, when they say hands-on interaction? Diana, that wouldn't scare the daylights out of you? It would me :scared: :scared: so I know I'm definately not intereted.

::yes:: You are reading it right. For some reason, being in the water with stingrays doesn't freak me out. We did the dolphin encounter in Nassau on our honeymoon and I loved kissing big slimey dolphins! :lmao: It's those little teeny fish that freak me out. :confused3

Ok, this shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, but I'm with Diana on this one. I'm not a fan of little fish, so snorkeling doesn't really thrill me. But, I loved swimming with the Stingrays in Grand Cayman and I would LOVE to do a dolphin swim someday.

I'm ordering the DNA test, because I seriously think we are long lost sisters! :lmao:

I went onto the JetBlue website tonight to purchase our tickets for this trip and while I was purchasing the price changed! BOS to MCO $109 each way went to $299 to MCO and $114 back to BOS! :sad2:

I can't believe how fast the prices are increasing for airline tickets. I'm sure it's due to the cost of fuel but that's crazy! Hopefully, there will be a special at some point before we go and I'll be able to get a credit for future travel. Annmarie

We have done the sting rays in Grand Caymens and the dolphin encounter in Nassau. Both COOL! :cool1:

We did the stingrays in both Grand Cayman and Antiqua and love them. We are doing the Stingray encounter on CC in May and will be happy to report back with pictures.

We also did Dolphins in Depth at Epcot - very fun and best of all it was free!

Karen
Mary J

Did I miss anyone?

I think what's going to happen is we are all going to be :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: that we aren't going to have a prayer of a chance hanging on. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

This is going to be a blast!!!

Isn't Stacy going, too? I thought I remembered seeing her post about joining in... :confused3

I'm glad that Curt has been keeping up with you guys, or I would have "missed the (Banana) Boat"!

Julie - I can help you out when all of our drunken friends start sliding off into the water. I was on swim teams all through school, and was darn good, if I do say so myself. :rolleyes1

Roxann - Curt and I are interested in the Stingrays, as well. Maybe we should try to get a group together for that, too. It really would be more fun to be with friends! :goodvibes

I have a short GTKYFKK question. Thinking about Stacy's birthday today, I'm curious.

Do you look at your own birthday as:
A. Just another day. I prefer not to do anything special. I'd skip it but don't like the alternative.
B. I'm definately celebrating my special day!
C. Birthday nothing -- I'm partying every day of this month!

I got a little bit behind on the GTKYFKK questions...

My answer is "A". I can't stand my birthday. Yuck. I like to go out to dinner, but I would do that every night if possible. My reasons for not liking the day are rather depressing, so I won't go into details. We're supposed to spend my 40th (in 2008) at WDW with my sister and her crew, so we'll have to see how that plays out. :rolleyes2

1) Before I found the DIS I used to hang out......
With books. I got a lot more reading done before I found the DIS! :rolleyes1

2) Before I bought into DVC my vacation style was.....
Someplace different every year. We have quite a long list of places that we would like to see, so we would just pick a new one every year. That's the one "bad" thing about DVC - it's so easy (and fun!) to go back "home", that we don't go anywhere else anymore! We do vacation much more frequently now, though, so that's a definite positive! :cool1:

3) Since we are going to Castaway Cay for two days I'm going to try something new...
Looks like the Banana Boat and the Stingrays! Someday, I'd looooove to get a massage in one of those cabanas. We'll still find time for snorkeling, though. We love snorkeling - we even have our own equipment! :fish:

4) The item I think I'm going to like the most out of the SSMC06 shop Diana put up is....
I haven't even visited the shop yet. I know that I'll get something, I'm just not sure what yet. (Note to my beloved: It will NOT be the thong.) :sad2:

5) If I could spend 5 minutes with Jim Lewis I would tell him...
Thank you. The vacations that we take together make our lives and marriage better. We wouldn't be able to take as many trips without DVC, and I am truly grateful for it. And thanks for the AP discounts!!! :thumbsup2

Mary - I'd love to see pictures. I thought this looks like it could be a good one to do so any other information you can provide would be great! Annmarie

Thanks for the link, Mary!!! I can't wait to take Emily to feed the stingrays!!!
