Thanks Stacy! Which cruise are they thinking of? We have joined the DIS board meet thread and also have some friends from the UK that are going so we thought it was a great adventure. It's going to be our celebration for Matt graduating from DeVry next summer.

I'm not sure what dates they were looking at but I know it's definately not either of the repo cruises. Dad doesn't want to have that many "at sea" days.

Yes I did and I am still enjoying the treats!!!! Such a good mix of item :cool1:

someday I'll scrap our cruise last year - lol.

I'm glad you liked it. It took me forever to get the stuff for the grab bag because I'm one of those people that just has to get the perfect gift for someone. Actually the book that was in the bag I got a second one and I'm going to make a scrapbook for my Sister of her trip to Cairo.

The Sea Days are what we like the MOST! :thumbsup2

Good morning everyone - had a fun time in chat last night!

We had fun, too! (Even if Curt acts like he didn't. ) We should try to make it into Chat more often... :surfweb:

Hey curling friends---(well, I should have said Hey Curt!) I was watching the Disney channel this morning and saw a clip of the new movie The Wild. There's a scene in it where the giraffe and lion are curling using turtles! It's so funny. Of course, I doubt most kids are going to get how funny that is. Probably most adults too!

I really want to see this movie - even though it screams Madagascar to me. :rolleyes1

I missed the fun in chat last night - got home too late - the grandbaby's parents took me out to Carvel for ice cream! Carvel was my favorite ice cream place in NJ when I lived there for the first 20 years of my life and now finally they have one here!!! :yay: Also the local IKEA store is looking pretty good - hopefully will open sometime in the summer - I can't wait!!! :yay: And best part is that the two are in the same parking lot!

Mary - Depending on what time you were at Carvel, we may have been in the same parking lot at the same time. :) Curt and I were at PetsMart Friday evening, stocking up for the "kids". :cat:

And, last I heard, IKEA is set to open in June (the 26th, I think). I have decided to avoid that area like the plague once that store opens. The traffic on Ford Road is ridiculous now - I don't even want to think about how it will be once IKEA opens!

Oh please, you probably LOVED it! Plus who was the one who kept mentioning all the hunky celebrities and egging us on??? :confused3

In Curt's defense (and I don't defend him often... :teeth: ), I was the one that brought up Hugh Jackman.

Though, I guess Curt is the one who started it all, trying to impress you ladies. I guess it is his fault, after all. :rolleyes2

Sorry I missed chat Friday night. I stayed at work late just so I could get into chat (well, I had asome work to catch up on as well), then we lose pwer about 7:40. So I waited until about 8:10 and gave up. Sounds like I missed a fun chat. I'll see if I can make it next Friday.

My guess for earliest booking is Tim and Michelle since they got a SPH room and noone guessed them yet. My first guess would have been Chris (sanddune) but some select others guessed twice :rolleyes1

As for the angels, I'd be happy to take pictures with them. Now Kate Jackson was the one with dark brown hair right? And Jaclyn Smith had dirty blond and I know Farah Fawcet was the blond. I just remember watching them as a 5-7 year-old. The Dukes of Hazard was more my time and I do remember Catherine Bach (Daisy Duke) :smokin: .

Diana, the shirts look great! Thanks for all your hard work. Same goes to Cindy and Amy for the dining and kids list. :thumbsup2

Diana and Curt, I love curling also. I TIVOed most of the Olympics.

Diana, it sounds like your going to be in Bergen County this weekend. Is the IKEA store where 17 and 4 meet (the old Alexander's site)? Yes, the blue laws make it hard for the NYers to come over the GWB and shop in Paramus with no clothing tax. It gives the people who live in Paramus a break and now that I don't live there anymore I can understand their thinking.

Since it's well past midnight, Happy Easter to all who celebrate!

Jeff

Chris and I were thinking the same thing. But, my questions is, who started their movie first. I've only seen the commercials for the Wild, but the animation looks a little better to me. So, did Disney start theirs first, but Dreamworks rushed theirs to get it out first. I don't know, but we're still looking forward to seeing it.

Nope, Tim & Michelle don't have a SPH room. They are one down from them. They tried, but they were gone by the time that they got in.

It's funny because Bruce and I had this conversation yesterday when the girls got a "The Wild" Happy Meal. He said, we've already seen that movie last year, why are the doing happy meals now. I was like no, this is the movie where the animals......and I was like, wow, that's exactly Madagascar. Then he said the same thing, I bet Disney started theirs a million years ago and it just finished only to have Dreamworks beat them to the theaters.

Amy--it frightens me how alike we are! :lmao:

Happy Easter guys--I'm supposed to be in the car in 10 minutes....as always rushing around til last minute.

Emily was up at 7am, and came in to tell me that she didn't see any Easter baskets. I finally woke up enough to go get Madison up and dressed and get Chris up. We looked for the baskets and they were hidden under the end tables in the living room. Emily and Madison were SO excited. I'm sure that Maddie had no clue why there was a basket, but she just loved those Jelly Bellys.

Now, I'm off to the shower to get ready for church. We haven't been in a few weeks, between house painting and trips to WDW, so we figured that we should go for Easter. Anyway, we're going to cook out ribeyes on the grill for Easter dinner, since only Chris and I would eat anyway. Then, my neighbor is having a little Easter egg hunt in her backyard this afternoon. It should be a nice quiet Easter around here.

Have a wonderful day everyone!!!

Happy Easter!

Wow! 27 weeks - time is flying by and will be here before we know it. We will be going "home" in 6 weeks so I need to plan for that since I haven't even made any PS or ADR.

I want to take a tour but not sure which one. Any recommendations from my DIS friends? Tom and I have never taken one before and decided we should try to do one each trip.

I haven't been posting much lately due to some health issues with Tom but he was given a clean bill of health on Friday so I hope to be back on and catching up. I doubt I'll read all of the posts but will do my best to get caught up in what's been going on while I've been away. I like the designs that were decided upon. I believe those were my choices too.

Is everyone going to do MNSSHP? Have dates been decided yet? I'm trying to convince Tom to get into the Halloween spirit and get a costume. How many of you (who have gone before) where costumes?

We've only done one tour and it was the Keys to the Kingdom tour. I would HIGHLY recommend it!! It was a lot of fun!!!

I think that a lot of us are planning on MNSSHP on Thursday the 26th, after we get off the ship. We're going to do costumes, we do almost every year.

Annmarie - nice to see you posting and glad to hear Tom is doing better. I'm not sure you can get this tour at this late date, but Mark and I did the Segway tour in Epcot and loved it!

Another great one if you are into it is the Behind the Steam Train tour at Magic Kingdom. We really enjoyed that one as well especially since they take you back to the roundhouse and that is also where they keep the monorails.

Thanks for the information. A co-worker took the Keys to the Kingdom tour and enjoyed it as well. I think I'll call tomorrow morning and see if I can make a reservation for that one for our trip next month. I also received the 4 passes to Sea World that I won from Fuji Film last year so we'll spend a day there too. Goodness, I really don't think this trip is goign to be long enough. Thank goodness we are going back in October. That's one of the best benefits to owning DVC. We are now going to WDW twice a year - once with DS (20) and friends and then later in the year by ourselves.

When can we order tickets for MNSSHP? I definitely want to do this.
