I was just reading on the restaurant board that the pixar breakfast at MGM is a no-go, and right now they are talking about having a Playhouse Disney breakfast in its place!!! I know, it's only just a rumor right now....but I'm sooooo excited for this one!! :cool1:

And wouldn't you know it---it's snowing again here. I so need to move to Florida!

1) Happy Birthday Cheryl.

2) I am keeping my mouth zipped about female qualifications... I was already censured over this in this thread.....

That's too bad. I would have liked the Pixar character breakfast, but the Playhouse Disney one sounds cool too.

OK, I just tried to get 10/16 MNSSHP tickets and an ADR at LTT. NOT IN THE SYSTEM YET......But the first date is 180 days out...MNSSHP TICKETS HAVE NOT GONE ON SALE YET...Grrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!

Hey, that nasty old fruitcake still provides some good laughs for some of us around here! :lmao:

But Cindy, the boys look pretty cute!

The problem with old fruitcake is that it turns bitter. We don't need any bitter old fruitcake on our cruise. I'd much rather have yummy creme brulee and chocolate lava cake. Besides we know this is going to be the best cruise in 2006 because DVC does it right! Much as I'm looking forward to our May cruise I'm looking forward to this one even more and it is because of the friends I'll be sailing with!

Hurray for living in Texas - NO SNOW HERE!!! :cool1: In fact it's in the mid 80's with a beautiful blue sky right now. :sunny:

I hope all of you in the snow thaw out soon.

Ian and I send our Happy Birthday greetings to you, too, Cheryl. We hope you're having a fantastic day.

Never got an Easter basket as a kid, but I guess that's because we celebrate Passover not Easter. I was always jealous of the neighborhood kids with all the yummy chocolates Easter bunnies & other candies while I was stuck eating matza.

:cheer2:  Happy Birthday Cheryl!!! :cheer2:

Ok about Easter Baskets - I agree with Diana, Mary, Amy & Cindy. My sister and I would get some plush toy and candy and for Nick (since he is older and really doesn't eat much candy) he gets a gift (usually a dvd or game for his Gamsboy or Gamecube), of course one chocolate bunny, and we do a small egg hunt and the eggs have variuos amount of money up to a dollar.

Roxann - sorry you didn't get an Easter Basket but just think without all that chcolate your face probably didn't break out from eating to much?!! :confused3 :thumbsup2

David, what is attached to Ian? Something to help him sit up?

Always curious about the newfangled contraptions.....anything to corral the daycare kids.

I'm kidding about the corraling, of course, but I am curious if I could help the little ones sit up a bit easier. The Bobby cushion helps but they still seem to tip over. :tilt:

Yes, but going to Catholic school all my life, I was always jealous of all the Jewish holidays you guys didn't have school on! I'd take extra days off over a chocolate bunny any day!

Cindy, that's actually Ian's Purim costume that he wore a few weeks back. He was dressed as a Hamentashen - a three sided fruit filled pastry that we eat on Purim. But some people thought it was a safety device to cushion falls when he falls down.
hehe.gif

As for help sitting up, have you tried the bumbo seat? Here's a pic of Ian sitting in his at about 6 months old. He wasn't sitting on his own yet, but here he is sitting up to eat. (http://www.bumboseat.com)

Yeah, I guess we do have a lot of holidays where we got out of school. But going to a Jewish day school, spring break was always during Passover so we could never go out to eat or anything.

OK, time to get in my quarterly entertainment for the fruitcake lurker!

So, I am overweight and looking for a good weight watchers thread. Anyone have a link? This would be a group of people who like looking at the weight of other people? :rotfl2:

Thanks, Robin.

I'm not familiar with that but I will definately check it out. :cool1:

Boy-oh-boy! My wife shared a little fruitcake with me tonight - I never knew a fruitcake could be so bitter! But you know what? No matter what, there will always be fruitcake around. At least I know how bad the fruitcake is near me...
:teeth:

I am always amazed by the differences in religion. I truly am very uneducated in the Jewish religion but I always find it fascinating to hear about what can/can't/isn't/is done during your holidays.

Around here, it seems like the Friday's during lent are the perfect chance to go out. Fish frys are very, very popular in my area. And, I know from from our local pizza place, that cheese pizza keeps them hopping too!

Chris - I said earlier that the older fruitcake gets the more bitter it gets. Just not worth it.

That little pasty that Ian was wearing looks much yummier.

Like I said I'm a big fan of the creme brulee and since I won't be at the creme brulee table this cruise I'm hoping Steve & Gail will take pity on me and send some my way. :)

I do feel sorry for bitter fruitcake - most people don't mind an average fruitcake, but no one really likes a bitter fruitcake - I pity the bitter fruitcake  !

Chris that bitter fruitcake got you - you are talking to yourself.
