Just a reminder that tonight is cruise chat! Stop on by if you get a chance. We usually start out in the main room and if enough Member Cruisers show up go to one of the other rooms to finish the night.
I'll try to be in chat tonight! I'm still in the process of cleaning up my office/scrap room, so it gives me an excuse to be in here.

Cindy and Mary , How much snow does Chicago have? I know it's comming our way next. Hope it's not too bad. :goodvibes

Right now by us it is mostly rain and slush. Mark is on his way home from up North and he says it is nasty up there. So i guess it really depends on where the line is when it hits you. Hopefully you guys won't get it too bad!

Ok, I'm already in chat, waiting for everyone to come chat with me.

What an awesome chat! Just got out of it at 11:22 Central time.

We even had a special guest. Foxxboys (aka David) who many of us got to know on SSMC05. What a very very special surprise.

Mary I told him you would be sorry you missed him.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICK

We got about 2-3 inches I guess roads slick but mostly clear. Had a call early this am and they hadnt been plowed then but the trucks are out now. Packing and finishing up details today and we leave in the morning!.

Hey everyone! We returned late Wed pm from a week long trip to Jamaica with my family to celebrate my sister's 30th birthday. We had a blast, are buried at work and school and laundry and hope to catch up again soon.

Happy Belated to all who had birthdays!

Chris - so sorry to hear about everything in your neck of the woods!

Spirit airlines - we had a horrid experience with them down and back from Jamaica and will NEVER be flying them again. Summary is 4 flights and 100% were late by more than 30 minutes on arrival, lost bag for 3 1/2 days, rude employees. It is sad as we hoped to have a new cheaper carrier - but nope.

Would love to do the circle journal but just cannot commit right now with the wedding.

Looking forward to getting back into the swing here!

Hi Julie. Welcome back. :wave2:

I'm sorry you had problems with Spirit. We flew them many times between here and Orlando. I was very sad to learn they were no longer doing that route. Maybe they have been experiencing a lot of turnover with the recent changes.

Lost baggage for 3 1/2 days......I hope it was Matt's. Only because men to deal with those kinds of things better than woman do. At least in my experience that would be the case. :earseek:

:bday: :bday: :cake: Happy Birthday, Nick!! :cake: :bday: :bday:

even if it's not officially for many hours yet. ;)

I don't remember the snowstorm of '67. I only remember that my oldest brother was shoveling the roof. :confused3 At least that's what I think I remember. Was it that bad that people actually had to shovel their roofs?

I do know that the grocery stores around here will most likely be empty of milk & break this AM. Not that I'm taking my daycare into the grocery store ( :scared: ) but I could bet money on it. It's that panic feature in a lot of people.

I do. Since there wasn't a vehicle on the roads, my brother and I were snowmobiling the streets of Downers Grove and Woodridge. In fact, we helped two ComEd technicians check the lines on their routes. :cool1:

Somewhere with my mom's stuff we have a picture of the Eisenhower expressway mid-day with no cars on it.

We escaped with just a few inches of snow. Since it's been so nice temp wise the snow never stuck to the pavement. Temps are suppose to go back up to the 40's so I'm sure this little bit will be gone tomorrow.

Steve and Coleen have a fun and safe trip. Remember when you meet up with Carol & Joe, they really are shy people. Enjoy your cruise!

Off to watch John change the sump pump. My job is to clean out all the spider webs and scare away any centipedes. If John sees a centipede he will scream like a little school girl. :rotfl2:
