cgcw said:We found a new restaurant last summer -- the Sea Shack. It's the one Rachel Ray did a review on not long ago. It's kind of hard to find and definately a place for the local people on HH to visit. If you ask at the resort, they'll give you directions, it kind of tucked back off the main strip. Well worth the trip.
We love to rent bikes and go riding all over. Walker has been riding to and from the beach for 2 years now. In fact, one year we were out there and a sand storm kicked up so we couldn't ride back - I had the car so we left the bikes and drove back. Walker was very upset..he still wanted to ride the bike, sand and all.
The kids love to crab fish off the pier. One year, Cameron caught a Diamondback Turtle off the pier. Very cool to see, but was the turtle mad to come out of the water.
We love to go on the beach combing tour out to Dufuski Island with Scott from Low Country Nature Tours. Scott's the one who does the tours through Disney. While more pricey than the bigger boats, it's definately one on one service and a small group experience. If you decide to do a tour with him, tell Scott that you know me from the DIS boards. Scott doesn't post here (apparently he can't?) but he does know that I'm a big fan of his and I post here. I hear he's working on a revamp of his website -- who knows what pictures he might end up with out there.I have it on pretty good authority that it might be someone we know.

We also started doing shark fishing with him. Another awesome experience!!! Again, pricy, but to us, well worth the money.
The strangest thing we find is that I like to cook in our villa. It's not something I look forward to doing at home, but there, I actually enjoy it. With the kids, we find it's easier than going back, showering, changing, heading out to dinner, waiting for a table and then getting back and the kids want to swim again. So, by the time we do all that, I find I can cook dinner and it's more relaxing to us.
We love to do any events B'Lou Crabbe does. His magic show is terrific and we love his stories.
We also enjoy going over to Shelter Cove to see Shannon Tanner. I'm not sure what his show schedule is but we've seen him the last several years. I think Gary (my DH) enjoys the show more than the kids. Shannon sings many songs from way back when we were younger.
Have a wonderful time, I know you will!!!![]()
Thanks for some new ideas!

We have not tried Vero yet, but I would like to. Anyone annual Vero Vacationers? Any good ideas and insights to the area?
