That's exactly my thoughts. One of these days, we'll skip the presents and hassle of getting everything together (and dealing with family in my case) and travel over the holidays. The option is on the horizon for us -- but as long as we have a semi-believer around here, Mom's not ready to give up all traditions just yet.

I just wanted to drop-in for a quick post. I haven't been on the Boards at all lately (The last post that I read was #2892...).

You see, I just can't get into the holidays at all this year. I've been so sad lately, and missing my brother like I lost him last week instead of 2 years ago. I'm not exactly sure why I'm having such a hard time this year, but I am.

Anyway, I'm sorry that I haven't been around. I hope like crazy that everyone is well and happy. Hopefully I'll be able to get out from underneath this cloud soon, and jump back in with all of you wonderful and nutty people. I do miss you guys...

22. Summer or Winter? Neither/both? Summers get so hot here and winter brings snow which is nice only as long as it stays on the lawns, which usually isn't too long.

32. What are you afraid of? Flooding. As a kid, lived in the basement at home when there was a serious sewer malfunction that flooded the entire north side of Chicago. Was kind of traumatic to wake up to the sound of lapping water.

34. Favorite car? You really want to know? My first 'real' car, which was a 2 dr Ford Granada. Go ahead and laugh now. My second favorite is the twin cars Mary and I own, 99 Subaru Foresters.
