Hi everyone! Thanks for the bon voyage & welcome home wishes!! We had a great trip. I'm going to try to put together a full trip report tomorrow (because I'm exhausted tonight). But, I'll give you all a quick run down.
We got up early on Sunday morning and headed out to the port. I was figuring that it would be a 2.5 hr drive (but we would stop for breakfast in the middle). We ended up leaving a little later than I wanted, but we ended up at the port at 9:40am. We parked and were allowed into the port at 10am. We ended up being the very first passengers into the terminal building. We got our boarding #2 card and sat and watched cartoons. When they started to board us, we came into the atrium and realized that Ducky Williams was right in front of us. We said HI and he let us know that he would be having a presentation on the sea day. What a COOL surprise for us!!!
Then, we went up to Beach Blanket for lunch. We ran into Simone (head server from SSMC05) from Italy. We recognized him right away and he stopped to chat with us. He asked us what rotation we were on and we mentioned that we were going to try to get switched to early seating, since we were waitlisted for it. He took our stateroom number and told us that he would call his manager and see what he could do for us, so that we didn't have to go to get it changed. He called us in our stateroom about 1:45pm to let us know that he had it changed. Another great thing for us!!
The weather was quite chilly (high of 50s in PC), so the sailaway was freezing!!! Emily was not a happy camper!! We didn't stay very long. We went to dinner and saw Simone again and he asked how we liked our new seating time. Told him that we couldn't be happier. So, I decided to try my luck at asking about linking all of our reservations for SSMC06. Well, Simone went above and beyond to get me information. Each night he came to tell me what him and the dining manager were doing to help us. Anyway, I ended up with a contact in Celebration that is in charge of creating the seating arrangements and she will contact me soon. Simone even gave me his email address, just in case the contact in Celebration doesn't get in touch with me in a couple of days. Needless to say, he got a GREAT tip from us this cruise!!! And, on the last night, he came to us and asked if we wanted him to try to see if he could get us on the late breakfast for that last morning. We, of course, said SURE!! Sure enough, we got a call late that night that we could come to breakfast at 7:45am, instead of 6:30am.

Simone is the BEST!! I even asking him if he was going to be on the Wonder for SSMC06, and asked if we could request him to be our Head Server. He said that he would love it!!!
Cindy - I'll keep in contact with you too, to get this all worked out!
Nassau was freezing too and very windy, so we opted to just stay onboard! We've been there before, and with the cold, I'm sure that Emily wouldn't have been very happy going out in it! So, she played in the club most of the day and we just wandered around, Chris did a bridge tour, that kind of thing.
We were worried about
Castaway Cay, but the day turned out beautiful!! It was a tad nippy in the morning, but warmed up nicely!! The sky was blue (next to NO clouds), but the water was WAY too chilly for me! But, we did end up getting some sun! We also did the little pirate treasure hunt on CC! Emily liked getting the treasure at the end.
Our sea day was nice too! We saw Ducky's presentation at 10:30am, and then went to brunch in Palo. I ended up running into Ducky on deck 4 midship, near the atrium. I talked to him for about 10 minutes. I asked him if he was going on our SSMC06 cruise. He said that they hadn't approached him yet, but that we should request it, because he's not busy! Sounded like he would LOVE to come! He did mention that he's going on the 10 day in Sept.
Well, I guess that wasn't so short, but that is a quick overview of the highlights of our cruise.
