Have you received your 2006 dues statement in the mail yet? I haven't. When I looked on-line, it said "my account needs attention" or something like that under my 2006 dues. My point totals are correct. I purchased via resale in Nov 2004 and paid 2005 dues in Jan 2005 via credit card. I haven't even taken a trip yet! (Although I have one booked for March)

Is the note because they don't have 2006 dues up or is something messed up on my account?

I believe DVC is having some trouble with the online dues payments system. It supposedly involves resale purchases and they are working on it.

I don't think anyone has received their dues statement yet. DVC generally mails them the last week of December. We should recieve them soon.

As Jim already posted, there is a problem (relating to dues) with the online system for any contract bought via resale. If you want/need to know what you owe, give Member Accounting a call.

Best wishes -

I checked online yesterday and saw the same message re: my contract needing attention. I called Member Accounting and was told I was seeing the message because I bought resale and their system is unable to display my dues information. She told me what my 2006 dues will be and that the statements are being mailed out "as we speak".

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info! Since I bought resale, I won't worry about it unless I don't receive a statement in the next week or two.

I just viewed our annual dues statement online a few minutes ago. It's gone up $60.00 since last year! That's about an 8% increase!!! I can't believe that! If this is right- we now pay $926.00 in dues for 200 BCV points. Does anyone else think this is a STEEP increase??

Some of the increase is because the 2005 taxes were underestimated, so an additional amount is due. The actual dues increase is about 5% - $4.27 per point to $4.48.

My account says the same thing and it's not a resale. I purchased straight from Disney. When I called, they said it was because the official closing and recording is Jan 16th and after that it would show.

...Another reason it's there...

Not really. It's higher than previous dues increases, but I still think the value of what we get is worth it.

I'm not so sure. I would agree with this if our dues increases from the past couple of years hadn't been what they were, but didn't we also end up with what now must be a 5% increase for dues last year as well, since we are making up for taht as well?

I'm still reeling from huge inceases in gas, electricity, heat, and insurance for my home. When I compare the increase for DVC, I'm grateful that it wasn't higher. But, paying more still hurts...

Why did my annual dues go down, the statement says i only owe $560 for 150 SSR points for 2006, which is about $45 a month, but this year I've been paying about $65 a month?

SSR dues shouldn't have gone down. I have SSR and mine went from 3.83 to 3.98 per point.

i dont understand why mine went down then according to my statement??? any ideas anyone?

I think you still pay for a year's worth of dues, even if you didn't have the points for a whole year. So if you bought in June, you would pay 12 months worth of dues over the last 6 months. In 2006, you pay dues for the whole year you have the points.
