I was holding a reservation for late March 2006 and phoned yesterday to inquire about whether or not AAA rates are out (10% for my time period) ... and they were!!!

I had to split my reservation, however, because the maximum length of stay for 1 reservation with AAA rates is 10 nights (is this new?).

I will be there during the "peak" period and believe was given 10%. We have AAA not only for discounts but for towing, maps, tour books, etc.

We were able to get a 15% discount on water sprite rental last year as well with AAA.

Just another note ... we were able to save $94 for our 12 night stay. I believe it cost less than that for a yearly membership.

This is interesting......
We all know that WDW does not give discounts on the golf carts so how did you get a boat discount? Did you make your ressies thru AAA or thru WDW marina?

My kids were really wanting to go boating last trip so I was thinking we may try it; it'd be even better with a discount!

The discount was not available on any of the packages, only on the per hour rental. When I rented the boats I asked if there was a AAA discount and he said yes, 15%. We have gotten this discount upon asking for the last 2 years (2004 & 2005).

I find that alot of times the AAA discount is not advertised, you just have to ask.

Note: A couple of years ago when they still had the MK Club, I KNEW there was a discount, but the guy at the marina didn't know anything about it. I insisted and he gave me the DVC discount which was really less than what I remembered I was entitled to. The morale of this story is that not everyone who works the register knows what's going on!!!

Who do you call for the discount, AAA or WDW reservations?
Thanks Tigger

Thank you!!!!

I have not been paying attention to the Resorts board and only check here occasionally, so I really appreciate seeing this info.

I was able to get the discount for my April 2006 trip. I think it is 15%. The rate went from $72 to $61 per night for a preferred site.

I call WDW for room only reservations. That makes it easy to switch to a travel agent later (I like Dreams Unlimited) or to change/cancel without making a pest of myself.

If you want an AAA discounted package, it has to be booked through an AAA travel agent. At least that's how it worked last year. I am going to hit the resorts board to look for more info on packages.

For the campsite, I had previously made a reservation. When I found out the AAA rates were out, I had them applied. All through the WDW reservation number (I did room only).

The marina AAA -- just ask if there is a AAA discount when you go to rent the boats.
