20050618 - June 18, 2005 - Magic to Mexico

Felt it down here too. Enough already on the earthquakes! I grew up in CA and figure they are a part of life, even if I don't like them. But two in less than a week plus throw in the one up North. Not likin' this! :sad2: :crazy2:

:grouphug: I'm thinking of all of you who just experienced the earthquake. We didn't feel it here in Ventura. Take care everyone!

Can someone pm me next week when you get on board and tell me who your cruise director is - Rachael or Brent? Thanks.

Just arrived at DLander's today and Lo and Behold she still did not have her packing done. :rolleyes1 Hollyster, do you have the "Magic Packing Wand" :confused3 I think Jenn is in desparate need. She did seem to get a lot done tonight but still not finished. :sad2:

The weather is looking gloomy here in So. Cal since I left Vegas HOT HOT 105 degrees. I kept saying to DH I wish it were cooler (Be careful what you wish for.) I have put in my request to the higher ups for sunny weather

Just think everyone in only two days we will all be on the "Magic" :cheer2: :cheer2:

:flower: dlander-you are in ventura? We are in Oxnard.
I too did not feel the quake.

What is this about possible rain? :umbrella: Good thing the umbrella is on the pack list.

My packing is just about done. Just some last minute thing to add. We plan on leaving for the port around 8. We plan on driving our selves and parking at the port. And just finished printing our door sign.

I was not planning on posting live but now I most likely will because my boss said he would pay for the unlimited access so if he needs me he can find me :tilt:

We will be wearing our gold Disneyland 50th anniversary name badges.
:earsgirl: :earsboy:

Here's hoping Tink gets in some trip reports without too many requests from the office....BTDT.

Well, I finally _found_ the suitcases. Now I can start packing - tomorrow. I'm not cutting it too close, am I? :rotfl2: Fortunately, DW already has the kids mostly packed. We just have to run errands (DW has a morning staff meeting), finish the ironing, drop off the dog, clean up the house, mow the lawn, go to the bank, finish the kids packing and do our own packing tomorrow. No sweat.....riiiiiggght.

Pass the wand when everyone else is done with it, please. Or just a couple cups of coffee.

I'm 95% packed. I'm off to work for 5 hours then DD & I are getting our hair done. DH is still in San Diego & will be coming back tonight. Our house is full of people really excited about cruising tomorrow....

I can't wait to meet all of you!

1 hour and 20 minutes of work left. This is sooo hard...the only thing I can concentrate on is -"what did I forget...what do I have to pack..."

:flower:
I have 3 1/2 hours to go. I'm driving everyone in the office crazy. I have even been accused of having "ants in the pants". :rotfl: I think I have everything covered and done at work. I'm in the same place your are Rae Ann. Packing and what may have been forgotten is all my brain can focus on.

WOW :cool1: We are really getting close now.

Good news. :Pinkbounc The sun is shining today in Ventura. :sunny: Maybe the "sun gods" are listening to us.

I am at DLander's and she is still packing. She just told her DH to get down another suitcase. Time is getting short as I am sure you are well aware of DMinV. What is the hold up for you? Not sure who has the "Magic Packing Wand" but sounds like you are in definite need. Please....whoever has it send it your way. :moped:

We are so looking forward to seeing everyone in the morning. Our family will be wearing lime green shirts. :bounce:

Wishing everyone a safe trip to the terminal. ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo

Whew! What a day - good thing we're going on vacation.

Hope you all are ready to go - I'm almost done packing.. :cool1: Actually, DW says she needs to go to Target tomorrow morning for a hair curler - hers broke. (Of course!)

Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow. Given the embarkation wait, I hope I make it to Scoops - it's looking like my goal of getting to port by 10:30 just isn't going to happen.

If I miss you - have a great cruise!

Bumping us back up from page 3!!

We had a wonderful vacation and it was nice to meet a lot of you onboard (or on shore excursions). We'll be uploading our pictures soon.

Be sure to keep in touch!

I have lots to say, but need to rest up first!
What a perfectly wonderful trip we had! I am sorry I did not get to meet all of the wonderful people on this board, but those who left surprises at our door just made my days! :goodvibes Please identify yourselves so I can thank you properly! I wish I had not been so busy with our large group and had participated in that myself. I love things like that. :wizard: Certainly made the trip more magical...IF YOU CAN EVEN IMAGINE THAT! :earseek:
I loved meeting the Dis'ers that I did meet. A few of you met some of my kids, and missed me by seconds. Next Time!!!! I really don't have time to write all that is in my heart right now, but this I have to say....BEAUTIFUL weather every day except the very last day...and that day was sunny, but chilly. Still it was SMOOTH sailing, and NOT ONE of my large group got sick, nor did we meet anyone that had anyone in their group sick. The cast members on board did admit that previous sailings had some bouts of sickness and that it had decreased considerably. We just felt so lucky the whole trip. :cloud9:
More later...if you have any questions...fire away!

We're going to! Join us for the July 22, 2006 Alternative Western Carribbean cruise! 2x @ Castaway Cay, plus Costa Maya and Cozumel...

C'mon, you know you want to....

It was great meeting everyone @ Scoops, on the ship, and on the tenders. Congrats to Rae Ann for her correct trivia question answer @ 80's night. Even after today's nap, I'm still gassed. I'll be sure to get some pictures up in the next few days.

Tink and VBug - sorry I missed you. Hope everyone enjoyed the music on the way home, for those of you I could find. :goodvibes

Remember the Magic,

LOL - as Rene pulled me on stage, she told me "The answer is Venus". DH enjoyed the free shot of the day for me 'cause I have a weird thing about not drinking or eating anything blue.

It seemed like I was always 1 away from excitement on the last day. During the Who Wants to be a Mouseketeer show, the computer picked the empty seat to the right of me. Then during the final jackpot bingo I needed G 55 to win the jackpot and Dessler announced G...........FIIIIIIIIIFFFFFTYYYYYYYYYY.......Two. Drats!! He then proceeded to call 3 other numbers until someone else got bingo. Sigh....My next disney cruise could have been paid for!

We had a lot of fun with the DISers onboard & on shore excursions. I've got some great photos of the Canopy Tour & Randi's. We should be posting them soon (email or PM me if you'd like a cd). We kept bumping into CACruisin', dlander, MexicoCruiser, & DB on the ship. The others travelling with us wondered how all these people knew who we were.

DH wasn't able to sing "She Bangs" at karaoke because they didn't have the song available. He found some other ways to amuse himself with glow sticks on Pirate night though....(picture coming soon)

We made friends with the servers in Palo. Chef Joselito from Palo surprised us by personally delivering special dishes in Parrot Cay & Lumiere's.

DB - thanks for the cd!! One mystery solved!

What an amazing time :cool1: I felt so lucky to have such great weather!! I loved meeting the DISers. What a great group of people :flower: I saw a lot of DataDoc (nice hair!), CruisinCA, CAcruisin, Mexicocruiser, DBin. Missed Tink and VBug :sad2: Never saw Hollyster, but did get "caught" by her two beautiful daughters making a delivery with DD and DM :rotfl2:

DD made a great friend with Mexicocruisers DD! It really made her whole trip. We enjoyed spending time with Cindy and Joe (great people).

DBin what a fabulous CD you made we enjoyed it all the way home

Hope everyone enjoyed their goodies ;) Sorry we didn't have everyones state room number.

DD and I were so excited to play Mickey Mania and we won :cheer2: We loved the canopy tour with Raeann and family and Anna and her family!

Well I am exhausted (still!). DH drove to Barstow to make the switch off with the DMIL and our Bandit boy (dog).

Chat with you all soon! :grouphug:

We are trying to decide between the Eastern 7 day next summer and the double trip to Castaway Cay! We tried to book the night before we left, but so much was going on we didn't connect with the Dis Rep. We will be working on that this week! ;)
I could not get the CD to work on our way home. We tried it in two different type players. Any advice? Thank you so much for all the gifts! I am going to participate in that part of the fun next cruise for sure!! Hopefully we will be in a much smaller group. Our group was so large, and dinners took forever. We missed almost every show (late seating).

Sorry about the CD Hollyster - I didn't have time to QA them all. Chances are you got a bad one. :guilty:

If you want, I'll mail you one - PM your mailing info and I'll have it out this week (I'll make sure it works first!
