Hi all!

It's been awhile and boy did I have a few pages to catch up with! We'll be cruising with a 8yo DD and a 6 yo DS. No sign out priviledges for my kids! I'm a SAHM and DH works for county of Orange. My parents are also going and my Dad is a retired Shell Env. Engineer.

I'm a Houston native, now a so. CA resident.

Ok, so I FINALLY got a pic of my doggies saved into Shutterfly. How can I get it onto DIS? Yes, I'm computer illiterate if you haven't figured out!

What else? PM'ed for the shore excursions... Thanks in advance! We have early/main dining - though hoping for lots of Palos.

Have a great day!

I've got a button maker right here at the office if we want to do buttons. I could drag DD into making them. (It will make her feel like a part of the cruise!) Cost is 25 cents each for the button. I am willing to do them. Just might need some help in getting a design put together with one of our graphic wizards out there!

Linda

YAyyy BUTTONS, Yayyy T-SHIRTS!! We can take over the ship again....People will say "Oh, look Hun, another one. Must be a convention.....and a cute doggie as a mascot..."

Kara,

Count us in for tag too!

Also, we were trying to figure out which airport would be closer to the port (LAX or Orange County). Southwest flys out of both airports and it would be a quick trip to Oakland. If LAX is closer, we would be interested in joining you for the trip. Let me know.

Laurie

When visiting Anaheim I've always flown into Orange County because LAX is SUCH a headache!

There's a great tutorial on the technical board....I read it and printed it and am currently sleeping with it under my pillow...doesn't seem to help one bit but I'm sure that you can do it! Let's see them doggies!

Lynda,

I agree!! But don't know if the drive to OC from the port is also a headache!

My DD (4), Quincy, loves seeing the picture of you and Cash on your postings and can't wait to meet him! Her black lab, Baxter, had to be put down a couple of years ago, but she has a replacement who sleeps with her every night (a cute stuffed animal - black lab with a red collar)!

Laurie

Thanks for all the info Lynda....I will review your ideas with my mom and let you know how we make out. You definitely gave me some ideas to follow. Thank you so much!! I will also let DCL know about needing mobility friendly excursions! I totally agree!!

Count us in for the tag! We are in room 8100 (for now). We are waitlisted for a non handicap room so the baby can have a bath!! LOL!! I will update you if that changes.

Michelle

Hi everyone! Hope everyone is having a great week so far. It's getting very hectic here! I just keep thinking about the cruise to keep me going! I will let you know about the tag as soon as I get a room number. I am still on GTY status! I definately want in as long as all of you 6th floor people don't mind walking to the boiler room :earboy2:

Thanks for the information!!!

Kara....do you want to do OC instead? If so, you can count the three of us in for a van.

Same with us...we are still GTY and in the boiler room as well. But we will play tag...good excercise walking the stairs to where the rich and famous live on deck 6 :earboy2:

If anyone wants buttons made, please contact me. I have a button machinr in my garage ( I am a photographer), and I would be happy to make them for the cruise.

Michelle,
If you don't get a non-handicapped room....you could always bring an inflatable baby tub with you. :)

Ok faolks I go to lunch and come back 4 hours later to 4 new pages of posts!!!! Where did everyone come from?????

Buttons, I was designing them and will still design them if someone will make them. Or if someone else wants to make them, feel free.
One Cruisetober fest 2 years ago someone did make the name lanywards and they were helpful. Of course I lost mine :guilty:

I have gotten some emails with corrections/ additions for the web page, but I also see that people have posted info here. Normally I could keep up with the info here, but work is crazy and I can't. So if you haven't sent me your info, please email it to me jenkatt@gmail.com It makes it so much easier.

Jeff and I can also keep a list of who is making what for the cruise. Jeff has already designed the magnets (which the design should stay the same as long as DCL doesn't change the itinerary before we sail. We will post the desing on cafepress if anyone wants to get it on a t-shirt. I'll be doing bubbles as always. Other ideas for sailaway and handouts that I have seen include pens with our sailing info on it, bookmarks, candy, sweets, just about anything from Oriental Trading. Closer to sailaway (about a 6 weeks out) I will take a head count so people know how much to buy/ make. Of course you should add a little on for those who come off the wait list at the last minute/ discover DIS at the last minute, etc.
All the cruise info will be at www.tiggerfan.net/canal
Toodles!

Thanks...I hadnt thought that far ahead yet...that is a great idea. I will definitely do that if we dont get moved. My sis and I pretty much are just glad we got what we got and will make it work either way - we are definitely going on this cruise!!! Lack of tub wont stop us!!! LOL!

Thanks Serena for the great idea!

Can Cash have your verandah? Right now DCL has us stuck in an inside stateroom...No room for his litter box...Should get interesting when we arrive at the ship... Anyone wanna help me hold him over the rail?

Hi Kara

Do you remember if anyone has talked about buttons for this cruise. We don't have a button maker, but we were also thinking about name tags that go on a lanyard. Karen (Ohiominnie) had one from a previous cruise - it worked for the KTTW cards as well.

Ken
Wow! Our thread is smokin' today! Nobody has ponied up with a button maker, but I like your idea! A name tag would be great! We could probably get lanyards with the holders pretty inexpensively from a place like Oriental Trading Co, don't ya think?

Huh...good idea Ken! You claiming that project? :earboy2:

Ugh! I need to read faster! Thanks Linda! That's cool! :cheer2:

FYI: I called DCL and got the website for the tux rental company they use. Incase anyone is interested it is www.cruiselineformal.com

Ohhh...DH is not going to be a happy camper...he has to wear a tux twice in two weeks.... :scared: He has only worn a tux twice in his life.

I agree. We are flying out of LAX because SW fares were SO super cheap, it made it (glup) worth it. Just hope I don't end up eating my words...
