We heard that Don "Duckey" Williams will be on board for the cruise so a limited edition lithograph is possible, maybe a special canal pin, and there will have to be a special deck party for transiting the Panama Canal for the first time-it takes the better part of a day to go through the three locks and the lake in the middle. On the first Western Carribean cruise there were t-shirts for each new port we visited. We also have a good number of days at sea, so who knows what "special guests" will be on board as part of the entertainment.

Would someone please e-mail us the excertion list? allitcrna@earthlink.net Thanks.
Ducky will definitely be on the cruise with us and we will be getting two special lithos - one for the cruise, and one being some kind of special canal crossing certificate, both done by Ducky. He was on the 10-day cruise and was telling some of the other cruisers about this kind of stuff.

As for big-wigs, we had DCL President Tom McCalister (?) on the 10-day. I'm betting he will also be on this cruise. He is a VERY nice man, young, about 45ish. Very down to earth. We even got him to join us one night for pictures. Other than that, I'm sure we will have some special entertainers on board again too. On the 10-day, we had Christi Carlson-Romano too - voice of Kim Possible, etc. I'm betting we have someone like that on this cruise too.

The local frame shop will love me after this cruise.

Would anyone be intersted in doing the premium viewing for Fantasmic at Disneyland? I know many of us are going to Disneyland after the cruise. Just thought I'd see how many out there might be interested. I *love* Fantasmic at Disneyland (not that I dislike the WDW version or anything). I saw it waaaay back in 1992 before it "opened." I just hate sitting and waiting for 2 hrs.

I thought about doing the balcony viewing but either one I guess is fine...I just hope we can get it if we want it! :) Figured maybe I could get those GC concierge folks to do some work since I'm paying for it!

Below are the details of the 2 options... Discussions commence!

Are people planning on doing this on Saturday evening ?? This is the only night we could do this as we fly out to Tucson Sunday morning..

Just wondering since I would like to get my reservations firmed up for this event on the balcony that holds 21 people..or the other location Either or.

Good question Peter. I was also wondering if there is more than one showing? 21 seats for only 1 show per night does not seem like very many. I'm waiting to hear from my girlfriend who lives out there. She and her DD are staying in a 1 bedroom suite at the Disneyland Hotel with me, and we are doing the parks. I don't know if it will be 2 or 4 of us?

Robin

We would like to do this on Saturday night.. May 28th we have 4 people ..

Reservation can not be made outside of the 30 day window.. 30 days or less
so if we get a list going or something .. we can then determine if the 21 space viewing area or the 50 space area will do it for us..I think we can fill the 21 space area.. and may have to go to the 50 space area..
As I know of 6 spots already and maybe 8 that I will need.

Peter

this is for the Fantasmic viewing areas

Whew! I'm finally caught up in message reading in this thread!

Could somebody please email me that shore excursion list you've been discussing? amykn@ids.net

Thanks!

I'm really getting psyched for this trip!

Now to find another formal....

Just sent it to ya.

I think we all are very very very jazzed about this trip. IS IT MAY YET!!!!!!

We have SCUBA classes for the rest of the day.

Hello all...

Just checking in. "Big Surprise"?? Wonder what that would be... involving big wigs and media? I would think just the fact that the ship is coming out to CA is a media event... tying in with DL 50th. Who knows. Maybe Eisner will come onboard... :earboy2: and announce the rumored crossing and Med cruise?? SIGN ME UP! Sure would be cool if we all got first dibs!!

Linda... where are you? Are you going to give scrapbooking classes again? I need it. I have all this stuff and no creative ideas to put it together!!

Regarding the Fantasmic Viewing... is someone going to book the whole balconey or do we have to do it separately? Let us know.

I know at one point some of us talked about sharing a van etc to the port... where are we on that?

RE VAN TO DL: I was going to see what I put together for that. Will be contacting Prime Time Shuttle later this month. Will keep ya all posted here.

Actually if we do not drive to Idaho Falls tomorrow I will work on this then.

Gotta run now.....Later kids.....

Hi all! Excited? No!! LOL My house is not getting cleaned today, too much time on the computer. I've started my word document with maps and notes about each port. Just finished Curacao, and looks like the Adventure of the Seas will be docking 1/2 hour after us.

DD will be happy, drinking age and gambling age is 18! Still undecided which excursion we will do there. I'm thinking 4 X 4 Vehicle Tour and/or Distillary?

Less than 4 months to go!

Robin

Hi! Could someone please email the list of excursions for the westbound Panama Canal Cruise to me as well. DS can't wait to find out what exciting things he can do.

email: dizney@ameritech.net

Thanks so much!

Welcome gene2geno!

I just sent it off! Happy planning!

Robin

Wow, take a few months off of this thread and it takes all day to get caught up ;)

Just got caught up. You all have been busy. We got all our airline tickets and will be at WDW for two days prior to the cruise then fly home on the 28th after spending a few hours with family in LA area.

Hubby told his boss about the trip the day we made our reservations. I have been telling my boss about it almost daily but I don't think he gets it. But, He's short, cute and I spend more time with him than my hubby so I am just going to bring him with us. - Calm down He's also 19 months old so He doesn't cost much or take up much room. ;) Seriously even though it will be DS second trip to WDW I think this trip will have more impact on him.

I would love a glimpse of the excursion list...
djw@magicfromseatosea.com

If there isn't any reason not to, we could post the list on our website for all to see. Let me know what you think.

We have been having snow on and off up here and I am shopping online for clothes for the cruise. It cracks me up to be looking for summer wear when our dogs are out playing in the snow.

Boy Robin, you stay on top of things here. The colts just lost big time. I live just down the road from them. Can't stand it. Back to the boards.
Previously, I wrote to wdwlvr to find out how to get the DVC cruise life preserver onto my posts, but I haven't figured it out . Also , I would like to know where to get the little "Disney Magic" puffing smoke for my posts.
Where do I go and what do I do to get them if able. I need to get out of here. We don't even have Ron Artest and therefore don't have a chance for the NBA championship. HELP!

I'm here, I have just been so busy getting ready for our CPA's to come in an audit..................need I say more?

Anyway, I am more than happy to do another scrapbook class on board during the PC. If I can get a count before hand, I could actually put together a packet with a starter page for everyone who wants to come to the class. The 1 p.m. time worked well on sea day, so just give me feedback and I'll put something together. I know Shari was not feeling well last time and didn't make it.

I'm hoping to have my 10 day scrapbook done by then and thought I might bring along to share. I know everyone would enjoy the Gloria Gayner and John Travolta page!!!!

Linda

Is final payment due 90 or 60 days out for this cruise? I know DCL changed policy, but don't remember if it applies to this one or not.

Hello Everyone,

My BF and I will also be on the cruise. We live in San Jose, CA. We will be in room 6092.

If someone could email me the list of excurisions that would be wonderful. The address is anamax@earthlink.net

We have already booked our flights and will be arriving in the evening 2 days before the trip. We decided to go all the way and have booked first class out to Fl. (My first time in first class!!!!)

This group is wonderful and I am hoping to be a more active particiapant in the upcoming weeks.
