One thing I noticed on the 10 day cruise was that it appeared that the kids, especially the older ones, seemed to get more and more out of control as the cruise went on. Nothing major, it just seemed that there were more kids running around unsupervised and more of the older kids hanging around the stairs. No one was doing anything wrong that I saw - it was just my general impression.

Anyone else on the 10 day notice this?

Definitely noticed it. I thought it was maybe because we were on Deck 6 for the first time and it's right above the clubs. Seems like a lot of the older ones "sign themselves out" and then hang in the stairwell. My DH did say something to a few of them on several occasions when they were taking wheelchairs and racing down the steps with them! Sometimes I wonder if the parents even know what's going on with their kids if they allow them to sign out whenever. Since we don't have any kids in the clubs I'm not exactly sure how they work but I know I wouldn't want my kid running unsupervised around the ship!!!

Kara... will PM you with my email... can't wait to see the excursion list!!

We've been on 5 cruises previously and not really had any problems with kids. Exception being with our grandson wanting to stay another week! :D
Not flaming anyone, but sometimes we can forget what it is like being a kid. I like to think that- "I'm Growing Older, Not Up". pirate:

Just checking in since we've now passed the 120 day marker. Wow, it's coming up fast. I can hardly wait.
Could I please trouble someone to email me the list of excursions:
mailto:mslestat@cox.net
Please and thank you!!:)

Interesting tidbit - DH called DCL last week regarding tux rental and the CM he spoke to said that there was going to be a "big surprise" on this cruise - said lots of bigwigs and media would be present for it. It's had me SO curious....another ship maybe? New iteneraries? What could it be? I almost wish she hadn't said anything, but it will give me something else to be excited about now.

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well. It's going to be so fun now that we're getting close to 90 days. The planning can really get kicked into gear now!

Scott, what are you trying to do? Embarrass us all? Pummping iron and running the promenade! Hey, I guess I'll be there on Deck 4 too. Be there with my coffee and my Krispy Kremes watching.

Bob, Keep the coffee hot adn the Krispy Kremes fresh, I will have to keep ip my energy. :)

It's tough enough I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas to come and now this little tid bit of information is making it even harder. A big surprise?! I can't wait to get closer to all this information comes out and I can start to plan and celebrate.

We heard that Don "Duckey" Williams will be on board for the cruise so a limited edition lithograph is possible, maybe a special canal pin, and there will have to be a special deck party for transiting the Panama Canal for the first time-it takes the better part of a day to go through the three locks and the lake in the middle. On the first Western Carribean cruise there were t-shirts for each new port we visited. We also have a good number of days at sea, so who knows what "special guests" will be on board as part of the entertainment.

Would someone please e-mail us the excertion list? allitcrna@earthlink.net Thanks.

My husband and I went on our first real date since Addison was born yesterday--and I bumped into a guy that golfs at the golf course I was Food and Bev. manager at for 3 years. Anyway--after telling him I had moved to Harmony (which is closer to Orlando)--he brought up his son who lives in Orlando. Anyway--his son has been a CM for Disney since he was 18 (parking lot attendant). He is now 25 and after doing some time as a lifeguard at Castaway Cay--he is now helping to build/design a swimming lagoon there where you can swim w/ sting rays, etc . He said it was just in the beginning stages of planning, hiring, etc. but at least we know Disney has probably even more plans for that Island!!
Thought I'd be the first to tell you!!!
thanks for the info.

Did u Get the ones on the Western ??

We got a couple from the western, will try and get a couple more on this one in May.

The CC plan sounds interesting but not sure how practicall, with respect to the necessary infrastructure.

Peter

Is it possible to book in advance Palo or a massage. Last cruise we took we had to do this all after we boarded the ship so it would be much more relaxing to do this in advance.
Okay, disclaimer that it is early here in CA, so I haven't read far enough to see if anyone has already answered you.

The answer is yes - for a fee. There is a package that you can add on to your cabin called the Romance Escape at Sea (often shortened on these boards to REAS). For a modest fee of I believe it's now around $350?, you get a couples massage (prebooked), you get to prebook Palo, and you get a a lovely gift basket in your stateroom on boarding which includes chocolates, champagne, a nice little photo album, and the basket is nice too. On the night you go to Palo, you will get a special romance turn-down with a special surprise, which I won't spoil for you, but you can find out more if you look around on these boards. Oh, and you also get a special champagne breakfast in bed one morning of your choice with a full menu, not just the normal room service menu.

We just did this package for the 10-day and it was lovely.
