Bob and Lee so sorry for your loss, we understand and our thoughts are with you.

Our weather is looking like rain. I kinda hope so, that way the pollen will get washed out of the air. Yesterday work, lack of sleep, the allergy medicine I took, all knocked me out for the day. Got the dogs walked and then pretty much crashed.

Lynn is scrap booking away, she just started 2004. Doing a good job she is.

Keeping up with the Tour de France, pretty exciting to me.

Thoughts on Jobs and $$$$. Friends , Pets, Memories, and Family and Humor are great sources of true wealth. Just remember money cannot buy you happiness, but you can sure buy a big boat to pull up next to it. Kinda like the Tatoosh..

SCUBA class today (afternoon), gotta clean house and pack up for that here this morning.

Hey Kay and Harry! Congratulations on blowing the Mickey Horn. That is so cool, you'll have to fill us all in when you get home how you managed to get selected.

Which October cruise is this? I am 99% sure I am going to book the one that Kim and Bette are on. Wouldn't that be fun if we could all do a mini reunion together? Keep me posted on the date.

It is also a sad day.
Our cat, Furval, passed away Friday evening after a long fight with kidney failure.
Tippy, Lee and I will miss him.

Hi everybody,

We're fine here in Orlando. So far, my son and his wife are fine in Tallahassee too. They are supposed to report in tonight, but I think they are prepared as well as they can be. Lots of wind and rain there, but no damage that they know of. I'm keeping my vigil on the weather channel until I know they're safe.

Has anyone heard from Kay and Harry yet? I don't know if the Wonder was able to dock this morning or not, but she's supposed to call me tomorrow or the next day.

The web cam shows the Wonder in Port....I think it might have been late coming in this morning because the camera only showed the RCL ship for a while but now it is showing both.

edited to add...just checked the Port Canaveral cam and can't see the Wonder...I'm guessing that it's either on it's way out or maybe it's already gone.....

Renae,, I have spoken to Kay twice today. THey had a great time. She originally was suppossed to stay in Orlando for a while. However, she thinks she will go home tomorrow. THey are at Downtown Disney right this very second. THey are just relaxing a little bit. If you have her phone number, she did answer her cell phone, twice.

Our thoughts are with you I'm sure Tippy needs a hug too, and will be spending time wondering what has happened. Animal "siblings" miss each other too. I hope that with time, the emptiness you feel will give birth to a wealth of happy thoughts and memories. What a beautiful picture. Furval had a wonderful life with you.

We came in on time this morning. We actually docked at 5:55 am. We got off and was in our car at 7:55 am. Late sitting was just coming off the ship then.

Went to DT pin traders and had a good time late today and this evening. Saw a lot of my old friends and just got back to hotel.

I have been reflecting on what has been a very strange week here in London,with the people going through the full range of emotions.

It started last Saturday with the Live8 concerts everyone happy and full of hope for the future,and the world being a better place.
Then on wednesday there was the announcement that London had won the 2012 Olympics which was not really expected here,and there was great delight and Euphoria .People like us on the Disboards all tend to be relatively well off and have a great interest(Disney) that lifts our lives.
We forget that in every city there are lots of poor unfortunate people going around doing the mundane jobs where there is not always a lot of hope yet on wednesday the whole city celebrated.

Then on thursday the terrible events destroyed that in an instant.

On Sunday we went to VE day and VJ day celebrations in Brentwood near to where we live,with my son who was playing in the Royal British Legion Band and my father in law who is 83 and served during the second world war.
Bands played people sang and some were dressed in 1940's clothing.It was a very happy day.

The Queen also headed major commemorations in the centre of London and outside Buckingham palace,around half a million people were there on Sunday despite their obvious worries after Thursday.(I dont know if they showed the Queen in your news yesterday).

The day was for the benefit of the veterans of the war and to remember their great sacrifice for freedom ,which we must never forget.We will be in danger of losing our freedom,if we forget the lessons of History.

So all in all a very strange and emotional week,and one to be reflected on .

I am sorry to have posted something which maybe should not be on this thread,and apologise in advance to anyone who may feel this.

We have to be resilient to whatever life throws at us,and live every day to the Max.
