Shari,

This is the first time I've done a cruise in 12x12, so navigators and menus won't work the way I usually do them. I'm thinking of just putting them in regular sheet protectors and putting them between the larger pages, but I haven't decided for sure.

Renae

I was trying to think of what to do with the menus and navigators when we were on the ship and I saw a photo album in Mickey Mates that looked like a binder that had the magnetic pages (Renae, before you have a heart attack - I threw them out - acid free...my foot). I went and bought 8 1/2 X 11 page protectors and I cut the navigators in half and put them in the page protectors so you can look at them all (boy were we ever busy!!!!). I also included all the letters that we got and the shopping guides, maps etc., so now besides my scrapbook I'm also going to have this photo album/scrapbook. The only thing is that the menu size is too big...so I am still trying to figure out what to use for them. Right now they are all in a pile with post it notes on them for what day they were for.

Elaine

Linda,

I just checked and I have a new catalog from Paper Pizzazz that has the same price. I'm going to order a book from them too, so don't worry about getting any for me there.

Elaine,

I've already got a 3" binder full of all those papers, and was thinking of keeping them there. It might be a good idea. It would take the pressure off the 12x12 album, and I'm going to have at least 2 volumes as it is. Thanks for the advice!

Renae

Do you mean to tell me that there will not be a scrapbooking our cruise class with Miss Linda? Or Miss Elaine? Or Miss Renae? No pre-cut pieces, no guide to explain how to put the page together, no samples ???!!! Well then, I hope that I can fit all of my pictures on the 6 pages I have from our class. This remedial student is lost without some guidance.

Scrappin' question,

Hey scrappers, have you decided how you're going to include your navigators and menus in your books? I have some ideas brewing, but haven't decided yet.

Renae

Decorated pockets...aargh

Hey Guys,

Anybody have nejthelion's address handy???? I can make the Post office today if I get it soon. I thought I had it but can not find it. PM Please

Thanks,

I can put photos of my pages up on snapfish if anyone wants to use them as inspiration... when they get done, that is. I have several in production right now.

Lynda,

I'm doing a bunch of pocket pages. I love them, big pockets, small pockets, in between pockets, they are so useful!

I love 'em because you can insert something you don't want to cut, or, if its a flat souvenier that is not made of paper the outside of the pocket can be decorated or journaled to tell the story of the souvenier.....

I can't even get that far....not sure if its my computer or what....I'm thinking that it is my problem, but does anyone have any ideas? When I click on someone's album, it takes off and "loks" like its downloading, but I let it go overnight last night, and it never got anywhere. I only see the red x no matter what.

Kelli,

If you're talking about having trouble just viewing an album as a slideshow, I think I know what the problem is, because I had the same thing happen. You need to change the max size option at the top. If you leave it at the 320 x 320 default, nothing will download because all the pictures are larger than that.

Hope this helps!

Beth

Lynda,

I like to make little vellum pockets to put pretty things in, like KTTW cards, extreme close-up small photos, embellishments, etc. I make bigger ones to slip park brochures into also. How about you? What's your favorite thing to put in a pocket?

Elaine, Celeste, any other scrappers? What do you like to do with pockets?

For our 'students' this is a hint session! If you hear about something you like, use it, or you can ask for more detail if you need help.

Renae

Another thing I like to do with pockets is write journaling that is too close to my heart to have in the open, but I want it to go in my scrapbook, like how I felt when my sons got married, or when my mother passed away. It's there for future generations, but someone just looking at the book for fun won't read it.

Scott

I had enough trouble trying to upload my pictures to Tony's site and you want me to do a web cast (whatever that is - I'm assuming it is a class held over the internet). :rotfl2:

Elaine

P.S. I'm not really having a "class"...just me scrapbooking in my scrapbook room all by myself....
