We all miss our Magic so very much..but..I am sure what we miss the MOST..is spending all that great time with our sig.others !! I have barely seen mine since getting home!! No wonder we all love to cruise......

This is so true.....

Hi all...

Just a heads up for anyone that had kids in the 8 year old group... My DD came down with the chicken pox. Dr. said the infectious period was while on the ship! :earseek: Hope no one else has it? :confused3

Kendra

Georgie,

Another thing a hurt toe is good for is that you now have time to finish your scrapbook and x-stitch 'homework'! At least it's an excuse I use...

take care of yourself,
Renae

Kendra,

They should have quarantined us all on the ship….

Is you daughter itching to go on another cruise??…. Sorry could help it, I hope she is not feeling too bad, bummer of a way to start summer vacation.

My 9 yo DS had the chicken pox vaccine. I guess this will be a good test of its effectiveness. Hope your DD is not too uncomfortable.

Hi Kendra,

Nothing against your son, I really like kids... However, I have never had chicken Pox, hopefully our paths did not cross... Hope he gets well soon.

Bye, Kim

Hi Everyone,

We arrived late Wednesday night back to summer in Michigan! Thank goodness. But I haven't completely unpacked and I've been avoiding the phone and computer. Just my way of prolonging the trip I guess.

I went for a walk to day and wondered why no one had lanyards with their nametags on and why they weren't saying hello as they passed. Sigh!!! I need to be back on that ship with all of you!

So sorry to hear about everyone's colds. Get that echinechea & Vitamin C out. Gargle with vinegar and water, I swear it works, (unless it's a Strep infection - sorry, you need antibiotics for that). We've been great except a case of the post trip doldurms.

Steve - love that video - Thank-you!

Georgie - Ouch! I hope your toe is well soon.

BetteMom - I saw some shinanigins at the port in LA - Are you ok???? We had some problems with the Port Authority splitting my in-laws up because one had a passport and one had a birth certificate but it turned out ok.

Well, what an awesome trip. And it wouldn't have been the same without all you DISBoard members.

A huge Thank-you to all of you. :goodvibes :love1: :wave2:

Juli

P.S. Another Thank-you to all of you for making my in-laws feel so welcome. They had no clue what was going on when I gave them a T-shirt to wear and they got a lanyard with their name. They thought everyone was just one big happy family and that all DCL cruisers were this nice. Then they thought it was a big club I belonged to that I signed them up for. Kind of what it is isn't it?

Hi Juli,

I had no problems going through customs, but then we had to wait until 11:15 to get our luggage. That system was totally screwed up... Being that that problem was the only downer for the trip and on the last day we survived well.

Bye, Kim

Oh Kendra! That is too bad! How is she feeling? Send her our well wishes and tell her to ask for more ice cream!! :sunny: :sunny:

Kelsey had the chicken pox vaccine. Don't know what happened... :confused3

Real bummer is she still has 2 weeks of school left. So, not only did I pull her for vacation, looks like she's getting extra time off due to illness!

She's feeling pretty well except for her face. She's getting some right around her eyes, causing them to swell up a bunch. Giving her some Benadryl to help with the itchies but it zings her up, making her hyper. NOT what I want to do!

Keeping her away from everyone is my real challenge!

Ah, back to the real world. Such is life...

And Kim, no worries. Unless you were in the lab, you probably never ran into her! :flower:

Hope she feels better soon. You should take a photo of her for a cruise scrapbook. Much later she would probably laugh at it. Good Luck...

I was just thinking the same thing.....for 2 weeks, I'd see kids every once in a while, never the same ones, it seemed, wearing their lanywards and I'd think, wonder who that one belongs to?!?!?

I think Quincy is the only little one I can identify her Mom.....only because I saw you all before dinner a lot!

Kendra...see what happens when you "step down" to that cat 2 room? Seriously, hope she is not feeling to bad and is out and about soon!

Our DD, Taylor woke up the last morning on the ship with what we found out later was the dreaded "pink eye". I first sent a PM to Laurie since Taylor and Quincy spent alot of time together to give her a heads up. Then I sent an email do DCL to inform them so the could "assure the well being of the counselors" that spent many hours with Taylor. I received the automatic reply that they had received my message and someone would be in touch with us shortly. That was it. Nada. No more. I was somewhat dissapointed that DCL didn't even respond. I wasn't blaming them...I was alerting them since people like Mari from the club was with Taylor alot on the last night. Oh well...like everyone says...we're back in the real world now.

Give her our best.

Jim

Our nephew came down with pink-eye last year after joining us for a 3 night cruise... he wasn't in the lab at all, but did use the Mickey pool a LOT...

Kendra... we're so sorry about the chicken pox.. Hope she feels better soon!

Chicken Pox? Pink Eye? Sore Toes? Colds? Where the heck is Dr. Bill when we need him?
Jim

Hi everyone :wave2:
First of all... thank you to all who have PM'd, posted or emailed wondering what the heck happened to me.... I appreciate your thoughts and prayers so much! :grouphug:
After spending the last few days at doctors and hospitals under the scrutiny of a zillion x-rays etc... they have finally decided that they don't think I have broken anything,....just ripped the heck out of a couple of muscles, ligaments, tendons or whatever!
Thanks to the wonders of modern pharmaceuticals I am not feeling the pain as much as before. :teeth:
To me it's just literally a HUGE pain in the butt.....:rotfl:
Also, I am now ambulating a bit with the assistance of a granny walker. I flunked the crutches class so they gave me a walker. Joe has attached my fish extender to the front of it so I can carry stuff around. When I can walk on my own again I will catch him and slap him upside the head for that one... he thinks it's extremely funny.
:worship: Tony... I can't thank you and Adrienne enough for the airline upgrade... it really made a difference and made the trip a lot more tolerable. Thank you thank you thank you a million times over!
I have to give American Airlines some kudos .. they were very accomodating and helpful when it came to getting us thru LAX security and loading me onto the plane also. I was really impressed.

We haven't even unpacked yet so I will be trying to do some of that this week and hopefully start to get the pictures organized too. Maybe once I get them onto a CD Joe can take them to his office and upload them to one of the sites.... can't do that from home with dialup..:sad2: It would be 2007 before we finished.

No Panama postcards here yet. Nothing from DCL either. I have to go back a couple pages now and see what I've missed... what is this video from Steve... can I download it? Is it like that one at the ending show... kind of like a view from the bridge of the whole canal trip.. condensed to a few minutes? I thought that was so great.

Okay. enough rambling... (it's the drugs... ) yeah right....:rotfl:

Thanks to everyone again for truely making this the trip of a lifetime for both of us. Everything now will pale in comparison.

Jim

He was up on the 8th deck enjoying his conciere services and touring the Walt Suite ............ :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Oh I am soooo glad to hear from you Leslie!!!!

Soon enough you will be dancing the night away~!! :cheer2:

Get better soon, but take advantage of Joe taking care of you.

Great new use for the fish extender!!!!

Debbie

Oh, Leslie!!! I'm so glad you're getting around, even if it is slowly! I agree--make Joe wait on you for awhile!!

Keep us posted on your progress.
