Things got really close for me there a few years ago, but it did not continue to be intolerable, so I made it thru, but if it had continued, I would not still be working there. Take care of yourself!!!

we are currently going through some very difficult family times that we wouldnt have imagined a month ago,(a virtual disowning of DW Karen by her mother,who has resorted to some very strange behaviour at the age of 74),besides me having ongoing work issues (like everyone I guess) that are always lurking in the background.

We are all very upset,but after coming to terms with the shock of this over the last two weeks,We just have to pick ourselves up and get on ,and be confident that better times are around the corner

At times like these I always try to take comfort from the words

The darkest hour is just before dawn.

Just peekin' in to see what my repo buddies have been up to. I'm so sorry that you're going through tough times Georgie.

If it's any consolation, Gary's company was bought out and thanks to cronyism, he was passed over for a position. The guy they picked couldn't handle it and quit. In the meantime, Gary got involved in a project that he loves. (And when they asked him if he wanted that original position, once he stopped laughing he told them NO.)

I just know that there's something better waiting for you right on the horizon. Hang in there.

Hugs to you, Georgie. My company was bought out late last year, and the new owners are terrible. Life at this company hasn't been the same since the buyout. Then, to top it all off, the CEO of the company that bought us abruptly resigned, and we found out a few days later that he's under investigation for embezzling millions of dollars. The company may declare bankruptcy, and we're up for sale again.

Just hang in there. I feel your pain.

Hi Everyone,

Well I can chime in with job woes also, my boss is being a little bit freakie lately, hopefully he will snap out of it. But after 1 year I still do not feel " safe" at my job. On Labor day I was running up the stairs and fell, snapping my foot back towards the front of my leg. Well long story short, I have torn the Achilles tendon, torn a calf muscle and am now in a cast and no walking for months to come. I had an MRI yesterday and next week will find out if I will have to have surgery again on this ankle( already have had 5 surgeries on this ankle)

So now I scoot aroung the offices on my desk chair and hop up and down the stairs to my lab, well of course this adds to my boss being " weird" . My insurance sompany paid for a wheel chair so I wil have that in the office next week, hopefully he calms down. But you jnow what guys, I have stopped being a mess over losing my job, if it happens then somehow we will put food on the table and pay the bills..

Hope for georgie and everyone else that things calm down for all of you.

I second that idea!!!!!!!! We could even all try to get jobs on the Magic or the Wonder...wouldn't that be fun....couldn't you see us as servers in the dining rooms !!!!!!!!!!

Did you know that there are people who ACTUALLY do this for retirement? They have found that living in a retirement home is only a little less expensive than perminantly living on a cruiseship.....only I don't think the government will pay for it after your assests are gone.



Sorry to hear that Kim and Georgie are having a hard time...I understand, and I say this after swallowing large amounts of Tagamet and Pepto Bismol today.....I understand Stress stinks!


I think we are all having post traumatic stress disorder after our cruise--Dr. Bill care to write some perminate disability slips for us all?


On a good note, I got an award at Rush for nursing excellence today.....

Uggg... another Hurricane...... this one looks just as ugly as the last one.

We are still seeing clients that have moved up here from Katrina! Now I am sure we will start seeing more from LA that have left Texas and Texans gettting out.

I was sitting in the cafe at the hospital on Monday and I heard an interesting conversation....

There were people sitting there commenting that God must be angry at the people of the world this year...hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes...etc. It wasn't until then that I realized how many weather realted incidents there have been this year....YIKES.
