Thanks so much! I didn't have time to reply early this morning...but have to say it was a cheery start to my morning. Hasn't been the best of weeks here..Tracy, DW, has been in the hospital since last weekend so I had almost forgot about the birthday today. Thanks again..that meant alot to me! Jim

Hope your Bday gets better, Jim!! Is she another cruise casualty? I hope she's better and home VERY soon!

Elaine: The idea of the whole thing is to get you to FLORIDA .... NOT Wisconsin!!! Actually Joe's brother is very nice... even better when we can get him away from WI....:rotfl: He likes Disney... don't know about his musical preferences though. Right now he's debating moving further NORTH in Wisconsin so maybe he'll be closer than you think...;) We keep trying to get him to move SOUTH to FL. :confused3

Kelli... there's nothing wrong with people in WI.. as long as they aren't my inlaws...:rotfl2: Hang in there with the knee kiddo, I'll be thinking of ya!

Jim: :bday: Hope Tracy is home and healthy soon. Give her our best wishes. We'll have to start a club... The CCC. the Cruise Casualty Club!

Lesley: Congrats to the kids! :cheer2: Ahhhh High School and Middle School await you... my sympathies...:charac2: Oh I'm SO glad that part of my life is OVER!

Hey guys!

Look what I found when I was uploading photos tonight!

It was Robb's favorite dessert!! ;) Now don't let him tell you it wasn't because, I personally saw him eat this shape many times over our 14 days!

http://images.snapfish.com/343;;;2;23232fp64=ot>2326=598=477=XROQDF>23238;774<65:ot1lsi

Now, I don't know who stuck their finger in the middle of it, but I can promise you it wasn't me! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I called Robb up here to see the photo- he says it was his finger...and yes- they got good use out of that mold.

:wave2:
Okay, what did you people in California do to make the earthquake Gods angry? Maybe the Magic should have never gone to the West coast?

Jim- Happy B-day...send our thoughts of healing to Tracey. Tell her nurse that if she doesn't take good care of her- she'll have some explaining to do....

Elaine- sounds like a potential date- if you go to Wisconsin- I'll take you to dinner.

Leslie- Seems like everyone in Wi wants to move further north- I don't get it. I work in Kenosha and many people there want to move up North...?

Kelli- You will soon be experiencing a lovely passive range motion machine- lucky you. When people show up in the ICU with these...we look at them in confusion- like the surgical nurses do when you show them a vent.

Tink33- Super cute kids---congrats.

What a great time of year- lots of fun things to celebrate.

Peter :wave2: Doing the job by the Mohegan Sun? Robb and I used to get great hot dogs - it was Super Duper Weenie in Fairfield, Ct. www.superduperweenie.com YUM!

Okay- I gotta go to sleep. I have a 23 year old with acute respiratory distress and a 58 year old with a stroke waiting for me in the morning.

Night...

But thanks for worrying!! :goodvibes If you need a place to stay in WI, Etta will take you in!!!

Kelli

I'm glad I didn't cause your knee injury. I didn't know Etta lives in Wisconsin!!!!! Where abouts???

Leslie....I'll "nab" him in Wisconsin (less distance for me) and then talk him into moving to Florida....I can do really good "sad puppy eyes" :rotfl2:

This is turning out to be a very small world... Kelli talks online with the person who ends up piloting us through the Panama Canal, Leslie's single BIL lives in Wisconsin, where Etta lives, Celeste parks at Tap & Dap's parking garage, Celeste & Jen are both nurses, our local newspaper does a review of WDW and mentioned "Mouseplanet" owned by Tony & Adrienne, and I end up joining a new message board (thanks Kelli) only to find out there is a member that lives less than 10 minutes from my house and she is the same age as me - what a small world.

I got my 1400 pictures back from the photolab today. The girl that printed my pictures said she was in awe of all the beautiful places we visited. She said she felt like she had been there just by looking at my pictures. They ended up giving me a quantity discount so the price wasn't as bad as I thought.

I went to two local scrapbook stores and Michaels tonight...spent WAY too much money but I needed special things for my scrapbook...like the coolest stickers to accompany: the DCL Pin Sleepover/camp out, the story of Dory (sorry ya had to be at Table 9 to understand!), the scavenger hunt, pirate night, bingo, tropical night.........I can't wait to scrapbook tomorrow...I might even pull an ALL NIGHTER!!!!!!!

Elaine

P.S. Glad to hear Steve that you and Amy are okay.

Let the summer vacation begin.

Congratulations to the graduates!!!!

What a great looking family you have Lesley. Hopefully on the reunion cruise we will get to meet them.

Now rememebr when you posted this......

I am worried that if I tell you about myself that you will all be bored to tears and no one will want to meet me. ;) So I will keep you guessing.

I could be a stereotypical Southern California beach bunny with blond hair and blue eyes who spends time shopping and visiting the spa.
I could be a mom of two who spends her evenings chauffering her kids to hockey practice and her weekends attending games and tournaments.
I could be a Disney fanatic who has been to Disneyland more than 200 times and visits several times a year.
I could be an overworked and overstressed business owner that needs a Disney Cruise vacation so that I don't go insane.

I guess you will find out on May 14th which one I am. :earboy2:

I'm thinking you are all of these rolled in one incredibly nice person who I am so glad I had the pleasure of meeting.

Elaine, Add this to your small world list: Etta lives (what, Celeste?) maybe 10 miles from Celeste's OLD job!! :rotfl: It's getting smaller every minute!!!

Edited to add: She lives in the tiny town of Paddock Lake. Their big claim to fame was when this happened, about 1/4 mile from Etta's house, right in the parking lot of the True Value Hardware Store:

Do You Always Dress Up Like A Woman and Carry A Gun When You Take Pictures?

From the Milwaukee Sentinel, Via The American Mind During President Bush's trip to Wisconsin the other day, a man was arrested:

"In Kenosha County, a man dressed in women's clothing, armed with a .38 caliber revolver and a small knife, was arrested as he sat in a parked car in Paddock Lake near the route of Bush's motorcade. The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department said the man, identified as John R. Waldron Jr. of the Town of Trevor, was arrested on one count of disorderly conduct and two counts of carrying a concealed weapon. Waldron told authorities he was there only to take a picture of Bush."

Not me, man! I took the day surgery option---don't plan to see ICU. The rest of what you said... :confused3 .

When I had my snowmobile "incident" 2 years ago (the links to the pics will be coming, along with the link to the cruise pics) Keith and I were the only 2 on the trip, group of 10, that didn't have advanced medical training. Of course, the first guy on the "scene" was a cardiac cath nurse....he kept saying, "Where are those d$mn ER nurses.....where are they?" We had a paramedic/fireman, an EVAC nurse, 2 ER nurses, 2 cardiac cath nurses, a sheriff's deputy, and the guide who has advanced 1st aid. The deputy "investigated" the scene while ALL the medics hovered over me. Billy: "I got it. Ya see, she hit here. She ended up....there! Yup, case closed.

They had me giggling so bad, I forgot to hurt!!! I guess its true that you all know what you know! (And I'm glad for that!!!)

TTFN!

Guess what we received today in the mail?????

Our DCL Survival DVD! I haven't viewed it yet, but promise to soon!

Q: Please tell me what the DCL Survival DVD is -- I have been so out of touch since being home. We've been home now for two weeks and still can't get it together - now that's a vacation.

Ok. I have a confession.

I love knitting.

Amy (ImprovGal) taught me on the cruise. It was very sloooooooow going at first. But I caught on and when I got to one the two knitting gurus took me under their needles ;) and have shown me the error of my ways. I got to a point Wed that I couldn't work on my blanket any more since I don't know how to do the next step, so I went to Target and picked up a knit kit. Have you seen these? They claim that they are easy knitting kits to learn on. So I picked up the summer tote one. Ya know, it really is easy!!! So minus the cramping in my pinkies right now, I'm loving it....

Plus I stink at scrapbooking. I never finished my first shot at scrapbooking (never got past the 3rd day of our honeymoon three years ago) I could pay someone before I forget what we did....

HAPPY SATURDAY TO ALL!

Wow... it took some time to catch up... I was off the boards for the past 2 days. Catching up was just like the "old pre-cruise" days! ;)

Lesley - GREAT photos of the family. Yes, bring them ALL on the 2007 reunion cruise. :goodvibes

Kelli - So sorry to hear of your up-coming surgery. You'll be up and around in no time. :flower:

Laurie - LOVED the pics of your 2 graduates! Congratulations to all :cool1: How I wish DH + I had that chance... (sigh), but I wouldn't change a thing... we enjoy being big kids with everyone elses kids! :)

Lynda - Good idea... start saving up those pennies now for our reunion cruise

Leslie - Let us know how your MRI comes out. Here's some pixie dust from NJ + GEJO. :wizard:

California Friends - SO GLAD you're ALL okay with that "Whole Lot of SHAKIN' Going On!" :Pinkbounc

Regina - Were there any reviews on Bob Saget's performance last weekend? :teeth:

Jen - Knitting! That's great! I tried it a few years ago... with no success. I was always dropping, or adding a stitch somewhere. Crochetting... one needle, I can do! ;)

Elaine - You go GIRL!!! Get down to Wisconsin and let us know how it goes! :cheer2:

OH GUYS... MISS YOU ALL SO MUCH!!! :wave2:

Work continues to be a trial. Spent the other night in tears... DH says we can look at early retirement. As tempting as that is... I know that's not the way to go. Just don't want work to invade my life and rob me of the present any more. Hey TEXAS LIZ... I remember what you said... "Who's in charge of you?" I am! So, we'll see what works out!

HEY! It's the WEEKEND! :sunny: Everyone get out there and ENJOY it! We're off to WALMART :moped: Watch Out!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all you guys! :earsboy:

Jen, you and Jeff did so much to make our cruise memorable so I'd like to do something for you two in return.

If you'd like to send me your photos along with some notes (and your pages you've done), I'll do your homeymoon (or wedding, whichever) scrapbook pages and then send the completed pages back to you and then all you'd have to do is journal and put them in an album. Let me know.

Hi Kelly,
Knees don't usually come to the ICU- only when things go wrong. Ortho surg. in general only comes to us when there are problems- hence my confusion when they give us the passive range of motion machines....

Elaine, Add this to your small world list: Etta lives (what, Celeste?) maybe 10 miles from Celeste's OLD job!! It's getting smaller every minute!!!

Kelly- don't you remember me telling you that I work in Kenosha and send prescriptions to Schneider Drug? We get lots of people from Paddock Lake. I will only be in Kenosha until mid-July....then I go to the big city! My current employer has convinced me to work one day a month for them....and I will be keeping some of my SANE (forensic nurse examiner) call at Kenosha and Burlington.

I actually got a "census" day today- so I am on call at the wonderful rate of $2.00 per hour....they will probably call me in later today.

Hi Jen,
Glad you found knitting- I find it relaxing. If I want to relax- but don't want to do a big project, I do dishtowels. Which I actually love cleaning with- they scrub well and cost me next to nothing so I don't mind bleaching them to death (yet they still keep their color).

Scrapbooking is fun to- but lots of work and you also have to invest a small fortune to do it at home. It is awefully sweet of Elaine to offer to do some of your pages for you. There are also lots of people on the internet who do people pages for a business....

Yes, I do remember. I just have NO idea how far it is from Aurora to Paddock Lake. Keith's sis and bil hate when I wanna go somewhere (other than Walgreen's) cause highway 50 to them is a roadtrip! I'll go to Kenosha in a heartbeat, but they have to pack a lunch, practically!!!

Well, keep an eye out for Etta at Burlington...that would be great to see you there....we won't be back there til next June, probably.

$2 an hour to hang around is great.....except if you're like us, just when you start something.....you know who's calling!!!! Good luck!

Gee, I wonder if someone could do this type of business from Wisconsin? :rolleyes1
Think that's worth a green card?

This is getting weirder...we have a town/city 10 minutes from where I live called Burlington!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes...it is addictive and if I sold all my supplies I could probably take another Disney cruise and still have spending money left over!!!!!!

That's funny Kelli...but as soon as Leslie's BIL finds out I am one of those "Lanyard People", he'll take off running in the other direction!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, that IS a lot of baggage to bring to a relationship!!!! :hyper: It's over before it started......

Good morning everybody.

I'm off to check out the brand new WALMART! It's only about 15 minutes from WDW, so when you come down, plan to check it out! Elaine, I'll be hoping to find page protectors, lol... you never know...
