Now girls - the scooters are great. I'm sure you would handle them well.

Georgie - take care of that toe. Hope it is better with each day.

Do the scooters at Wal-Mart drive like the shopping carts at Wal-Mart? If so- no wonder they are running into everything!

Hi Kay

Meditating while trying to catch up on the posts on this thread, might as well post it hre. Reflections on a cruise of a lifetime and what I will try and do next time we get together on the Magic or Wonder:

Deck chair on deck 4 for a couple of hours.
More tropical rain forest visits.
Palo's for tea.
Sailaway gifts for all of you!!

Readjustment to real world is so hard!!

Hi Kay

That's a good one, Celeste. Same goes for othe carts and scooters in the grocery stores. I went to Target yesterday and had a scooter that kept cutting out on me. A store manager brought me over another one that was fully charged and working. I had my scooter with me but Harry took the battery out and was charging it in the house. A lot it did me at home!!!

Actually the scooters in either Wal-Mart or K-Mart or grocery stores are pretty nice. You just have to go slow and round the corners carefully.

Just heard on the news here that there was another quake in southern CA. :scared1: Hope everyone out there is okay. That's 3 in a couple of days out there... whew... I don't know how they deal with that all the time!!!:faint:

Kay,

What ever happened with that plane crash near you? I looked for it on the news but nothing ever came on...

The plane is cleaned up and hauled away. They took it to "Ocala" of all places. What a long haul. Wonder why it couldn't have been taken somewhere closer??? We'll never know unless there is an inspection place there.

The street is open and most everyone is back in their homes. One home got hit but the house is still livable. Several cars were destroyed. The three men onboard are out of the hospital now. It's a miracle they are okay. There were knee and back injuries but nothing life threatening.

TV cameras and trucks are still there and the street is being resurfaced and scraped yesterday and today.

Just too close for comfort.

Are you working next Wednesday?? I'll be driving up. Will be there approx. 10 or 11 am. Staying at Coronado Springs. Tried to book at POFQ but was all booked up. I should have called you first. :rotfl:

Let me know if you will be working then. Maybe lunch in the lunch room there, if you are working??

Elaine,

I've used 81/2x11 most of the time, but am using 12x12 for special things now. I like the postbound books tooo, much easier than strap/hinge style. Do you have a good site to get page protectors in bulk? I need about 100! I'm so far behind with both weddings and this cruise that I'm hoping to find a big lot of them for a good price, and here all you can get is packs of 5...

I'm going to try your scrapyourtrip site today if I get a chance. I agree with your opinion of Creating Keepsakes and Simple Scrapbooks. I use them all the time for layout ideas, and next month I'm going to Creating Keepsakes University for a 3 day shot in the arm of scrapping classes! Yeah!!!!

Check out Michaels. We can buy large quantities there (I think packs of 50). You could also try a scrapbook store. I'm sure they can order in bulk.

I am so JEALOUS that you are going to CKU. You will have to tell me all about it!!!!! I'm hoping they do one in Toronto soon!

Last night I tried to go through my pictures on the computer to save the ones I wanted to scrapbook onto a CD to get printed. I was having a hard time deciding on which ones to scrapbook so I just saved them all and took 3 CD's to the photo lab. I was their best customer today 1400 pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I get them tomorrow. So needless to say I will be scrappin' away all weekend long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry about the tri-post

Mom wanted me to post this.

She was gardening all day today and she said that she wished Georgie and Leslie lived closer because she would have driven over and picked them both up to get them out of the house and brought them back to our house and they could have kept her company all afternoon. She said she was remembering all about the fun things we did on the cruise and all the nice people she met.

Celeste,

Thanks for letting me know about the papers, I can't wait to see the Curacao ones.

I won't be at work for a couple of weeks, my back injury from the sailaway party's been acting up and I have to take care of it, so they took me off the schedule so I can rest up and get in some therapy.

I just ordered some photos from Snapfish so I'll be joining you guys in the scrapping world within a few days. I can't wait!

Renae

Hey everybody,

Guess who just left my house? Linda! She and Jamie are here this week and she took a couple of hours off from the parks to come visit... we talked scrapping and how much we're missing all of you and our beautiful ship. It was great to see her so soon, now... who's coming down next???

Oh how great! Sounds like you had a nice visit.
We'll be coming up for the July 4th weekend.... wanted to come this weekend but still have too much to catch up on here. :teeth:
Sorry to hear your back is acting up Renae..... what's with our group...we're all falling apart!! :rotfl:

Elaine,

WOW! I took a lot, but I have no plans to scrap all of them. I figure about 400 or so will make the cut. I just go through them on the 'puter and order the ones I want from Snapfish. I ordered about 200 today from the first few days and when I get them done, I'll order some more. It's much easier that way for me.

I've been to CKU before and came home totally inspired. It's the last week in July, so I'll tell Lisa Bearnson that you want it up there, they are pretty good about listening to what people ask for.

Have fun scrapping, and thanks for the info on Michaels. I've never seen packs that big, but I'll have to look. There aren't very many scrapbook stores here, but if I call around, I might find one with a good price that I'm willing to drive a ways to get to. Wish me luck,

Renae

Leslie,

Give us a holler if you have some time to get together when you come up. We'd love to see you again! If you'll be at the mouse house, wait for your floor to jump when the MK fireworks go off, ours always does, and it feels like a small earthquake!

I think we're all just hoping to go back on the ship, so this is our excuse to stay home and scrap!

Hi Steve!

I've just checked all the DCL phones numbers I have. The one for Castaway Club is the one you mentioned, and I can call it from NJ. The other numbers were the main number 800-WDW-CRUISE, and the DCL office number in Celebration Village 800-957-9067.

I would call the main number, tell them you're trying to reach the Castaway Club, and that the 800 number others are using doesn't work from your area.

Good Luck. :flower:
Georgie

UPDATE: Steve, I just got off the phone with the Castaway Club 1-800-449-3380 and asked it there was another number you could call, explaining that the 800 number wasn't working from your area. To her knowledge, that was the only number they have for the Castaway Club :guilty: I asked ifyou could call the main number to ask your questions, and she said sure. So... give the main number a try. Hope this helps!

Hey Georgie,

Thanks for the advice. I already tried the main number but got nowhere there. They never heard of a CD. She kept trying to send me the planning DVD which I already have. She also never heard of anything called a Shoreside Survival Kit. She got confused when I asked to be transferred to Castaway Club.

I'll try again tomorrow. I should get someone different, hopefully who will have a clue what I'm talking about or at least be able to transfer me to the Castaway Club number.

Thanks again!
-steve

I wanted to thank everyone who helped me out with the August Repo June 15 issue. It was very well received! If anyone else would like to see your name in print :rotfl2: let me know! We have three more newsletters coming out!

Well I have uploaded 2 days of pictures into Imagestation. So that is embarkation and Castaway Cay. Eventually I am going to move them somewhere else, but this will do for now :flower:

If you would like any of the pictures at full size/resolution just let me know!

Here they are:
