CRICK PERSON HERE!! But then again I'm from Pittsburgh and we say a lot of weird things. :rotfl2: Pittsburghese is a language all it's own.
Does anyone have a gumband?
Have you red up your room?
Yinz hungry for a chipped ham samich?
Don't believe me? Check it aht at www.Pittsburghese.com :rotfl2:

Does anyone know if we can post an audio file here?? I've got the Steeler fight song.....:woohoo: That's pronounced "stillers" by the way...:rotfl:

All right, that's it. You're ordering for our group in November! I'd love to see some poor guy from Norway, Germany or Morocco try to take your order in the World Showcase! :rotfl2:

They I can ask if they caught the fish in the ocean or the crik!

Laurie my Dad was a "crik" person...Mom and I are "creek" gals....my Dad used also call wrestling...wrastling. Us Hamiltonians also have some saying unique to our area....like wanna go to Timmy's...or I have a double double...does anyone know where I'm asking you to go or what I want?????
I KNOW!! I KNOW!!!.... :yay: sharon

Kelli, are you taking a cruise to Alaska or are you going on any land tours? Tell us more! Amy and I are itching to get back there!

Speaking of funny speech, where did "warsh" in place of "wash" come from? My grandma is from Oklahoma and says it but a guy I work who was born in and lived in Los Angeles most of his life says it too. Any idears?

I'm a little torn on who to root for today. I live a lot closer to Seattle. I've visited both cities and have friends from both.

My two favorite teams are the Chargers and 49ers. Seattle is in the same division as the 49ers and used to be in the same division as the Chargers so that should be enough to root against them.

Then again, Pittsburgh is going for their 5th Superbowl win which would tie the 49ers...we can't have that! Then again, Dallas already ruined that for SF.

Hmm, Seattle is closer to Disneyland, Pittsburgh to Disney World. Seattle has more amusement parks but Pittsburgh's Kennywood is much better than any park in the Pacific Northwest.

I give up! I guess I'll just root for good commercials! And let's just hope Mick Jagger and Keith Richards don't have wardrobe malfunctions!

Steve!! I'm very impressed that you know about KENNYWOOD!!! I keep wanting Joe to make me one of the Famous Kennywood arrows so that I can put it in the yard. So tell me... what was YOUR favorite coaster there??

I knew that two people from our cruise would definitely get it - Sharon and JM...and maybe some others that have visited Canada....

You see Timmy's refers to Tim Horton's which is a coffee and donut shop here in Canada that is located on just about every corner....in fact Canadians are so loyal to Tim Horton's that almost all the Krispy Kreme locations that opened in Ontario have closed....Tim Horton's is owned now by Wendy's and I'm surprised that there are not more US locations....there was a rumour floating around that Tim Horton's was opening a location at WDW in the Canada Pavillion in Epcot so us Canadians can get their coffee fix.

A "double double" refers to a coffee with double cream and double sugar...so when you order at "Timmy's" all you have to say is "I would like a medium double double" and they know exactly what you want!!!!

Just how popular is Tim Horton's? In my 9 km walk that I take on the weekends....I pass 4 Tim Horton's...on my 13 km drive to work I pass 6 locations and on my drive home 7 locations and if you get thirsty at work...we have 3 locations within a 5 minute walk....when we had relatives visit from Austrialia they asked if all we do is drink coffee and eat donuts!!!!!!! :rotfl2:

I of course have no idea what is so good about the coffee because I don't coffee...but I know my family members cannot begin a driving trip anywhere without stopping first at Tim Horton's for coffee!!!!!!

Right now, we're looking at a Princess Cruisetour. One week on the ship, another riding a train, stopping at Princess lodges for the night. Nothing is set in stone yet, though. Still checking on a couple other lines that go different places. I'm still just in the learning stages. Gotta get going though, this one is for Keith. He doesn't ask for much in life, but he did ask for this..... :goodvibes

Our family from Michigan always says "woish", but "warsh" is another we hear once in a while. It's always $$$$ crik, but most of the streams we have in Wyoming are creeks.

EW!!!!!!!!! :guilty: I route for the commercials myself!! I love the Pepsi/Coke battle, and Bud always has some good ones. I did see on the news the other night that the Girl Scouts will be having one that deals with adolescent girls' self esteem. Guessing that won't be a laugher, but one to make you go, "Hmm".

It was such a joke in NYC about the number of Starbuck's....we always pointed them out and just walking around Manhatten we must have seen over 25.....crazy!!

I bought a magnet of the Kennywood arrow for my coaster shrine. I should make a huge sign for our hallway pointing to my room! That would be great although no one coming over would know what it was!

My favorite coaster was probably the Jack Rabbit. That double-dip was a lot of fun! I also like that there is only a small belt holding you in and you are free to slide back and forth. Great airtime! Thunderbolt and Racer were a lot of fun too. I don't know when you were there last but they also have a huge steel coaster called Phantom's Revenge. It used to be called Steel Phantom but was renamed when they removed the inversions and had new trains installed. They also have a coaster called Exterminator (which was the only one Amy rode there) that is like an indoor Primeval Whirl at AK. It is themed like you are in an underground sewer system.

My favorite rides though were probably the Whip and Turtle. I sure wish they had more of these across the country. I'm a sucker for classic rides!

Kennywood also had probably the best corndogs I've ever eaten!

Aww man, now I really want to go back!

I love the Jack Rabbit!! I think it has always been my favorite. I have not been back since they revamped the Steel Phantom. One of these days I'll get back up to the Burgh and get to Kennywood again. Don't know about the corn dogs.. but I used to love those square ice cream blocks on a stick that they would dip in chocolate, roll in peanuts and top with a cherry on a toothpick!!
One of these days if you get a chance... if you could scan that Kennywood arrow magnet for me... I'd love to have the graphic!! Of course once Emma arrives... all bets are off as to free time....:rotfl:

Scott,

OW!!! Take care of that arm! You need one arm for swimming, and one for the underwater camera!!!!! Here comes some pixie dust from Tink, ordered just for you!

Leslie,

Watch out for dog hair in the pool and too much rain overflowing it... if it's not drought it's flooding, right?
