I posted this morning, probably back about 10 pages. But about a 2 or 3 inch diameter is plenty and probably 24 inches will be more than enough. Last time I think our litho was 16 x 20. They will roll up just fine.

Oh my goodness... what is wrong here?? There is nothing going on for the DIS cruisers on May 24???? Hurry... somebody make a plan.... somebody make a LIST!!

In our spare time, and in an attempt to qualify the cruise as a mini-tax write-off, I will be holding training sessions with Cash as the lucky sucker...oops...student... He can read two words pretty regularly now and we need to add a third word to his repertoire...his WHAT ???... Training in a public place is better than in private...he's SUCH a showoff! and I thought I'd work a couple of public training sessions into the busy schedule...Does anyone think this would be interesting? I need some enthusiastic warm bodies who can let him know when he's done good....

Perhaps the 24th would be good?

Leslie, Dive Quest starts at 4:30, that means we should be in the tank diving around 5:15 to 5:30ish, we will be in the tank for half hour to 45 min.

I don't know why folks like jeans so much, they are so heavy and hot, especially in a hot climate, I much prefer lighter weight pants. They also take so much room and weight packing.

I have 3 more nights of work, I will be off Sat. morning at 7am, and at that time I will consider myself on vacation (as long as there is not an emergency at work and I have to go in).

I'm boing to simplify my first question because I didn't see an answer to it.

Regarding mailing tube. I see two sizes at my post office. Do I choose the longer tube or the shorter tube.

Internet service - There are six of us in our party - three of us in two different rooms who would be internet users. Can we share an unlimited internet plan or is it per person? We wouldn't be on for more than a few minutes each per day so I'm trying to decide what would work for us.

OK - I lied... one more question. So capris at dinner are ok??

LOL Here's a simple answer.. Pick the mailing tube that will fit in your suitcase!! I think mine is 30"... and my biggest suitcase is 30"... and I have to put it kinda caddy corner into it. I would think the litho would be no more than 16x24"... but then again... it might be some whacko size .. they do that a lot, usually so they can sell custom framing and it drives me NUTS!

As for the internet service... can't help ya on that one. I think the plan is per person... but it can be shared on the sly. Someone else???

I think this is very interesting....I know my 6 year old would think it was a hoot- he is learning to read also...

He can read SIT and DOWN. Not War and Peace but it sure surprised the heck out of me when he learned them on the Service Dog Training cruise last November...


On the 10-day we were working on TURN AROUND but he couldn't quite pin down what the command meant so I had to figure out a way to teach him that before expecting him to recognize the shape patterns that represent the command.

Your son would probably get a laugh at Cash's method of trying to pick up a credit card...He makes quite a production out of it...

Maybe one of your Goldies would like to learn to read...My interest came as a result of someone asking how I would give commands to Cash if he should lose his hearing as he ages... I'd be happy to teach you how to teach them...Better than a write-off...The wonder of your neighborhood...a dog that reads...

What about silk capris? I planned to maybe wear some for semi-formal night. Would they be out of place with a fancy blouse? I have a pair of black silk and a pair of grey silk capris (that I've never worn!). When else would I wear them??

Unfortunately, the lovely velvet shoes I bought (mail-order) to wear with them didn't fit. The first pair (my regular size) was too tight all over. So I exchanged and the next pair was too big all over. I gave them to my daughter since they fit her perfectly. But I never was able to get a pair of those cute shoes for myself. I hate mail-order.

ATTN Late Dining DISers!

Last post about the late dining. I promise!

I was surprised to get a call at work yesterday from Debbie Wargo from DCL. She's the same wonderful Debbie who handles the REAS ressies for everyone. She said she was asked to help me out with the late dining linking. I guess the person I was working with got in over her head (much like I did too!)

She is finalizing the seating on Friday, May 6 so I will need to close the linking the night before, a bit earlier than expected. We also have a fixed number of "stations" so we only have two tables of four left anyway.

She was kind enough to work with me on a seating chart which I really wasn't expecting. Now we don't have to worry about families or other groups within our large group getting split up or having to swap seats, etc. We put the two families of six each at their own tables, the four groups of families with young children together at two tables so the kids can make fun of all these grown-ups acting younger than they are, and the rest pretty much put together in order of when they requested to be linked unless specifically asked to be put together. We are still free to trade seats after we get there though.

We will be on one side of the restaurants with plenty of window seats! That should make for some nice views of the moonlight on the Atlantic/Pacific while we enjoy dessert!

She did say two things that I thought were pretty strange. One was that we (all 63 of us) weren't even one of the bigger groups on this sailing. I can understand the main seating DISers being bigger but who else? The other thing was that we shouldn't have a problem getting our APL rotation since the ship wouldn't even be close to being full. I know there are some cabins still available but not close to being full? Where the heck is my upgrade?

Now I guess I only have a few days to find a denim tux so I can join the rebels!

And were waiting in our mail box when we came home tonight.

Just got back from a pre-cruise Manicure/Pedicure.
And what a deal, $29 for the whole thing.

Now I just need to clean the house and pack (not in that order)
