I was hoping one person in each family group could present all the ID cards for their cabin and get vouchers for them. That would cut down on the lines.

Ding, ding, ding, .... We have a winning response! That sounds like the best idea I've heard yet. :cool1:

If you're in a suite can you just get one of the concierge people to wait in line for you? ;) <ducking from the flying tomatoes!>

hehe

Better idea...give Leslie your card. For each card she gets a drink. She'll be set for the whole cruise. We'll be happy, she'll be happy.

Who could ask for more? :)

True, that would be easier, but those 500 pins would go REALLY fast. 125 cabins and they would be gone (figuring 4 people per cabin). :confused3

I am reading it to say ONE per GUEST... meaning you gotta be there to get that voucher. Historically yes, you gotta have a body there to get the one voucher per person... believe me.. there will be people there with babes in arms getting vouchers for them..... Otherwise what is to stop a person from saying..."yeah.. I have 6 kids back in the labs... I need vouchers for all of them...":rotfl: Ask anybody that's been to pin events or special pin distributions..... we've seen it all....:rotfl2: and the stories we could tell......:rotfl:
Don't tell Joe but I am planning on dragging him into the lines... I just have to keep him well fed and .... uh.... happy...:rotfl::rotfl:;)

I knew I paid to bring my parents on this cruise for a reason!!!!.....Mom and Dad..........Happy 50th Anniversary......................now..............all you need to do is go with me and Robert (kinda like Joe!) EVERYDAY so we can get pins. 4 adults, 4 pins.

12 x 4 = 48 pins by end of cruise. YOO HOO!!!!

:cool1:

I bet half the people on the ship don't even collect pins, but after the first day of frenzy 75% will become pin collectors

$173.50

$173.50 X 4 = $694.00

I don't know of alot of families travelling with 2 adults and 2 children who will spend $694.00 for the whole lot of pins. Especially since it is a 14 day cruise and there are alot of other things they are gonna wanna be buying.

I knew I didn't upgrade my stateroom for a reason. Cheap stateroom, more $$ to buy pins.

And as I read it, I just run by Up Beat, get voucher, go eat dinner and then at my convenience before closing, go pick up my pin.

Okay....need to add to mini-navigator schedule!

:cheer2:

That's a good idea Linda!

I'll just tell DD that we are waiting in line for an autograph!! Should do the trick! :rotfl: :rotfl:

NEWS FLASH!!!!

"Gloria Gaynor" arrested on Disney Magic.................................

After hundreds of passengers "reported" missing KTTW cards, ship security personnel discovered "Gloria" with over 1000 KTTW cards in her Disney Pin Trading Bag. Seems she was getting free drinks for every KTTW turned into her in order to purchase the much coveted Limited Edition pins on the Kingdom to Kingdom Cruise!!!

That is good point, Linda. I knew I was saving money for something... and here I thought it was for spa treatments!! :smooth: :smooth:

I don't collect or trade pins but I do want that Hubcap pin. :flower:

No docs yet...they arrived at Costco yesterday. The lady I talked with said they still go through "quality control" than are repackaged and sent out. She said that since I live so close they will most likely go USPS and I should have them by the end of the week.

Bill (3DAN)-you asked about Deck 1...I stayed down there on our 7 day. I really liked it. Very quiet in the halls because no one goes down there. Very easy access on port days. I'd stay down there again.

Interesting news about the pins. I'm glad they listened to us.
So all you pin people - do you think they came up with a reasonable plan?

Would somebody mind copying the pin info?...I can't find the info at the Disney site I get shuttled to....baaad Lynda No docs, either...

Go back, page 775, post 11612 for the recap (or should I say hubcap!)

Ok... Who has an Inaugural Western pin (or two) that they're willing to trade for an extra Repo pin. Day late and dollar short on that cruise... wasn't as saavy as I am now! :teeth: Since I have 6 people in my party - I could have an extra or two to trade... if I'm lucky and get in line early! PM me and we'll 'talk'! :flower:

Help Wanted

As you may know, I am the newsletter editor for the Ship of Fools. As the second Panama Canal sailing, we want to learn from all of you

I am looking for volunteers to write summaries of some of the goings-on for your sailing. If anyone is interested, PM or e-mail me. Here's what I am looking for:

Evaluation of Curacao
Evaluation of Panama Canal
Evaluation of Acapulco
Evaluation of Cabo
What it is like coming in to Los Angeles by Magic
Pin Trading - How did it all work
Wine Tasting Party
Twice Charmed Review
Murder Mystery Review
Any other ideas

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Okay I am more confuse for the pins on May 14.. do we get the voucher at 5:30 or as soon as we board..and the pin for LA is it release the morning we arrive in LA... could someone explain to me..

Liz

LA pin It mightr be that the LA pin will be released at 5:30PM to the West Coast cruise guests and not those on the West bound crossing. If that is the case, we will try to buy as many as we can and make them available through this thread. The dis-thread for the May 28 Mexican Riviera is not as active and has not addressed "pins" as yet. Hopefully they will be available for both cruises. Alex :confused3 :confused3

I hope it will be available for both cruises.. because the map has a place for the L.A. pin...

Thanks
