So far we have 3 entrepreneurs on the Panama Western cruise. Anyone else?

Serena6010: HVAC. Gilbert, Arizona. DH owns Heating and Air Conditioning business.

Hi:
I guess you could add us to the self-employed. DH owns HMR Associates, which makes compost for growing mushrooms, NutraSoils, which makes potting soil from spent compost, and I own www.avonleahavanese.com. We know all too well the joys and pains of owning your own business. :goodvibes

I may as well jump in here. I have a full time job running IT operations for a company and then nights and weekends I have my own consulting company www.ad-computer.com.

Amazing the diversity amoung the west bound cruisers!

I need a little help, please?? DD Kelsey has to submit some papers for high school while we are cruising. We are taking a laptop for her word processing. I know she can submit them online on DCL's computers, but what format does it take for uploading? (CD, 3.5 disk, etc.)?
Thanks -

There is no rhyme or reason for this nonsense.

Not one good reason given to anyone when they inquired.

I would call and ask for a "supervisor" or someone higher than the nice CM - who answers the phone.

Just my 2 cents right now.

kay

Kay-I did talk to a supervisor. Alan in fact, last week, you know the one going to call me back this week. He's the one who told me about "batching".

So far, it seems that no one that booked the first day has gotten their documents, so maybe Alan is right. hm........the minute I say this someone will post that booked the first day and say they got their documents..........

Maybe I need to talk to the Mail Room Clerk. they know everything!!!!

BAD BAD BOY!!!!

But did you upgrade or anything or change anything (late dining to main) on your original ressie that might have put you in a different "batch"?

According to my call to DCL................get this...................tickets are printed off in "batches" and according to what batch you were put in, that's when your tickets print.......................so I asked, does that mean the earlier I booked, the later batch I am in? Could be, they said......................

So I booked the 1st day, as soon as the cruise opened up on the ressie system. Anyone else out there from the 1st day who HASN'T gotten their docs yet?

That would be us as well. Sat on the phone with them till the computers allowed bookings. So in this case the early bird does not get the cruise documents first I guess.

Only change I made was to drop disney travel as I decided to book my own flights, was afraid of too many stops on the flight back. Oher than that I did not upgrade or make any other changes. I think I made the change to cancel the flights in late Jan early Feb.

Ennisb,

Did you orginally book directly w/ Disney then transfer your ressie to DU or did you have DU get you a reservation? I orginally booked directly w/ Disney then transfered. Maybe that's the difference??

I do not believe that the Disney Computers will allow you to upload anything to their computers. You might have to stop at a business center in one of the large hotels in one of the cities we stop in.

We got our docs last week.

Now, when we originally booked. All we could get was cat10. Later cat9 became available, so we upgraded. Maybe that is it.

Also, we paid in full, upfront. Maybe that is a factor. Don't know.

I booked directly with DU and left the reservations with them.

WHAT??????? Okay so did I, but no docs here.....and I'm only about one state up from you!

Speaking of docs, Disneyland said to expect them 2 weeks prior to your visit.......well, guess what? I will be on a 2 week cruise and won't be home to receive them! They said to call on the May 9th if I dont have them yet. So I have 2 sets of docs to worry about :rotfl:

SCRAPBOOKING WITH SEAULATER

SO...............WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING??????? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Well..............nothing.

HOWEVER, if you do want to help out in some way, here are a few things you could bring (but you DON'T have to, so don't feel like you need to throw this stuff in your luggage).

1. Scissors-if you have a pair of scissors that you can put into your CHECKED IN luggage (at the airport and for the cruise); that would be helpful, but don't go getting arrested at the airport for trying to sneak scissors in your carry on luggage onto the plane. We don't want to have to go bail you outta jail before we leave Port Canaveral!! :rotfl2:

2. Adhesive-now some are you are saying, what the heck is she talking about......okay.............I've got mounting squares for everyone for them to adhere their "stuff" to the pages I've created. However, some scrapbookers swear and live and die by certain things they use. I don't like glue sticks and won't have any with me. If you are an avid glue stick person, you might want to throw yours into your luggage. Some scrapbookers like using "tape runners". If you do, bring yours along. BUT.....I'll have enough mounting squares (like double sided sticky tape, but archival safe) for everyone.

3. Archival Safe Pens..............If you have archival safe pens that you use, throw a couple in and bring along. We will be doing a little writing (or alot, you decide). But, DON'T GO OUT AND BUY ANY if you don't have any. I'll bring around 20 pens or so, but we may need to do a little sharing!

4. RULES.....................remember, in scrapbooking there are NO RULES. Everyone can do (or not do) whatever they choose. If you absolutely hate my pages, that's okay. Change what you don't like and keep what you like, I won't be offended. And remember, I am NO EXPERT here. I just love to scrapbook and share with everyone else. I hope this is just a fun, relaxing time for everyone. Don't be afraid to ask questions or to ask for help! We are all here for some DISNEY FUN!!! :earsboy:

Okay, with that said............................that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Any questions, fire away and I'll fake my way through the answers!!!!
