We end up at The Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro

I'm not much help as far as rental car locations - but I know it's been discussed, so maybe someone will come along with more info.

Elaine this is not some kind of Canadian April Fools day is it?? Really... congratulations on getting your docs!!! Now we will all be watching! I emailed my TA and she said our docs will come directly from DCL... not go to her first... I thought that was strange since the other letter and excursion booklet went to her first... oh well... who knows.

Bruce: I know it's in San Pedro Harbor or something like that. We are still without transportation to DL as well...

Angela... any news on that?

Hi Leslie - no news on the transportation front. For some reason, that's the one thing I keep procrastinating on!!! I'll try to check it out this weekend and see what I can find out!

I'm so excited...my Mom just called me at work to tell me that the UPS man just dropped off our cruise documents!!!!!!!

Now I'm trying to figure out how to get out of work early today to go home and see them

This is too cool since I only found out our flight info yesterday (Disney told me I had to wait 'til the 30 day mark)

Okay, I know it's been discussed here before, but I haven't been reading the thread long since we've just booked the cruise and I can’t read all 8,000+ posts. But I need your help on what to do after the cruise. We’re scheduled to fly out of LAX at 10:30pm on Saturday, so we plan to rent a car at the port, spend a short day at DL then drive to LAX (talk about a long day!).

My dilemma is, I don’t know where the ship docks in LA so I don’t know where to rent a car. Can someone give me the name and address of the port in LA? And yes I do feel silly that I just booked a two week cruise and I don’t even know where I end up!

I just called DISNEY ours were sent out today.. we actually have to go buy a mailbox ..DISNEY explained that they just drop them off..we are in a new house in the middle of a construction zone..off to home depot..sharon

I am impressed by your ambitious schedule. I certainly hope you get to sleep on the plane on the way home.

We are also looking into renting a car. For those of you who are familiar with LAX, is it difficult to get to the car rental return places or are they pretty well marked? We've never flown into or out of LAX and the only thing I know about it is that it is very big

I'm trying to find some way to go home to see my documents but since there are only 5 of us in the office, and I already told everyone there we got our documents, I can't very well fake sick!!

It's bad enough that work won't give us internet access at our desks that I had to go to our office library (shhhh I told them I had to do some research!!!!)

I also won't be going straight home after work tonight 'cause I have to get some more life savers because I don't think I'll have enough with all the new people joining in....but as soon as I get home I'm ripping into those documents....

I can't wait!!!!

I travel alot for business and in my personal opinion LAX is one of the worst airports in the country to get in and out of. My home airport is O'hare in Chicago and would take it anyday over LAX. The problem I have with LAX is the freeways to it are congested almost all the time, the rental car agencies are miles offsite, but what I really hate is the security. Many times they have them on the street going into the airport checking cars. I have lined up numerous times on the sidewalk outside the terminal to get into the security screening line.

Many of the older terminals only have maybe a 100 feet from the curb to the security checkpoint so lining up is difficult. Checking bags there is also a chore, remember one time security would not even let me pull up on the curb to drop my wife and bags off.

My final comment is just allow yourself alot of extra time maybe 1 1/2 hours to drop the rental car and get back to the terminal.

Thanks Tap & Dance. I appreciate your reply. I'm still wavering on whether or not we should rent a car or do supershuttle. We're staying in Annaheim and want to tour LA on Sunday. (We fly out early early on Monday). I think I'll keep exploring options.

Hi everyone,

Well we have finally decided after running all the numbers that we are going to rent a car from Enterprise ( across the street) to get us to the hotel at Disneyland, and then on to LAX on Monday. The price was basically 1/2 of super shuttle and 1/3 of the cost of a private car service. This way if we feel like touring we can...

Does anyone who is renting from Enterprise and staying at Disneyland want to form a little car caravan and drive to the area together ?? My mom is in charge of the map reading, ( already warned her) but in reality we could end up in Mexico ( she knows she is really bad at maps) , however she wouldn't drive in LA for anything...

So if you are interested in forming a car caravan to Disneyland count us in.

I'm so happy I can't sit still I just heard from the scheduling mgr. at my new job at Port Orleans. He says he'd never keep me from going on such a great cruise! I love this guy already and I haven't even met him! When I do, he's getting a huge hug
Anyway, I'm put our names on all the lists I think we need until we choose excursions, and I need to know what sorts of things to bring for the scrapbook swap and can we bring scissors on board? I had them confiscated a couple of years ago. They didn't care that they were scrapbooking scissors, they just took them till we got back
As for the Serentity Bay snorkel meet, I've never seen this wreck, which way is it when you enter the beach? We always go to the sunken machinery and thought that was it... is it farther out?
