20050514..May 14, 2005...Official Check in Disney's 1st 14 Day thru Panama Canal Part 3

I wanted to thank everyone for their suggestions about pulling up reservations on the Disneycruise.com site. The way our reservations are set up, my DH is in another room under a different confirmation number. (Don't ask - long story. We have 6 people and 3 rooms but we're all mixed up as far as which room we're actually supposed to be in. We'll straighten that out on the ship.) Anyway, I was able to log in with DH's info and then, later, was able to log in with mine. :goodvibes Made PALO reservations for dinner and registered DS for the kids club. Will register DD tomorrow (She's under the third reservation.) :) Looked like lots of PALO availability tonight! Thanks again!

Chill on the Palo reservations...they will not all be booked until we are all on the ship. Not everyone has internet access and Disney isn't dumb (well at least not all the time).
The system is new, still has some limitations (party size, etc) and can't cover all situations (large parties for example).
Granted I have what I want :teeth: but I didn't book 2 Palo dinners because I don't know what night is what menu and I wouldn't want to miss out on something YUMMY. :) I'm not worried....
I think (mentally) I'm already on vacation......so maybe it's not possible to worry......

I don't think anyone is upset. Everyone can't get in for one reason or another and they just want to get into the site and make their reservations, if they can and rather not spend time standing in another line to sign up for something or get something.

I actually went into the site to see the new changes and not really book anything right now. I booked mine personally with Debbie already and was trying to book for someone else that asked.

And it seems that everyone has gotten a CM that states something different from what someone else has posted.

Just inquiring minds want to know why we are all being told something different.

You're right, Marie. Everyone has been very helpful in trying to help others get into the site. Very nice of everyone. :cool1:

Anybody else have problems with the Disneycruise.com website. I've registered but when I enter my Disney confirmation number with my date of birth to pull up my reservations, I don't get a response when I click continue. :sad2:

I've sent a message to the "feedback" site but haven't heard back yet. I booked through Dreams Unlimited but I have my confirmation number. Am I missing something else that I'm supposed to be doing?

Marie

It's funny. I was never able to get into my reservation before they updated the site. I discovered it was caused by my software firewall. If I disabled it, it would come up fine. Now that they updated it, I can get in with no problems.

It's probably unrelated but if anyone knows they are putting in the same info Disney has and still not get in, you may want to look into it.

The Official Disney DisBoard Jammie Breakfast

DATE: Tuesday, May 17th
LOCATION: Lumiere's
TIME: 8 am - 9:30 am

We will arrange for a picture to be taken of all of us in our Disney Jammies.

Please PM me, or post here, if you'd like to attend. The more the merrier.

Please note: you do not need to wear Disney PJ's to attend, but PJ's of some sort are mandatory (except for Cash, of course)

Elaine

Thanks so much for the update and for putting this together for us. We really appreciate it. It's going to be a blast!

I especially like that no one but us knows we are showing up in our PJs! Everyone be sure to bring your cameras to capture the looks on peoples' faces when we show up! I'd love to hear the conversation between the servers and the cooks! "There is a mob of grown men and women out there in their pajamas! Quick, I need sixty orders of Mickey waffles before things get ugly!"

Also, can I just say it's impossible to find adult-sized pajamas with the feet in them!

A week from now everyone will be very restless and/or not sleeping and anticipating getting to the Port to board the ship.

Or maybe the partying will still be going on :rockband: :dancer: :jester: :thewave:

OH HAPPY TIMES THAT WILL BE ...................

HAPPY SATURDAY MORNING ALL EASTBOUND TO WESTBOUND CRUISERS! ONLY 1 MORE WEEK UNTIL WE CRUISE!! :cool1:

Haven't been able to get on line until now. Disneyland was absolutely out of control Thursday with people for the 5-5-05 50th Anniversary kickoff. Today was much more manageable.

Jamie's show today was awesome. (or should I say it was yesterday-Friday since today is Saturday.)

Kids have been keeping us busy.

I am 300 posts behind and I've got 6 PM's I haven't picked up yet! Sorry!

Today's show is at California Adventure and should be fun.

But, gotta go, kids need to get to bed!

I'll try to check later!

Linda

Hey Steve...come to Canada in the Wintertime....they sell adult PJ's with feet and "trapdoors" - I actually have a pair of Mickey PJ's with feet but unfortunately they don't fit me right now or else I would have brought them!!!!

I can't wait to see the looks on the servers and other dinner's faces when we show up...of course the other dinners will either think we're a bunch of nuts or will be wondering if they missed something in their Navigator (well they did they had the wrong one - they needed to have a mini-Navigator!!!!!!)

Only 7 more days!!!!!

Elaine

Goof Morning Campers, erh.. Fellow cruisers:

Steve, at the garage sale today there is a pair of adult jimmies with the feet in them. Am I dating my self by calling them Dr. Dentons???? Sorry no Disney stuff.

I agree with Rob about Palo reservations etc. Lynn and I don’t want to miss some of the menus.

Lets see a week from today the gangplanks of the Magic will be stormed by this troupe of scallywags. There we will be at 0700 in our own created traffic jam waiting to get in, wondering why those people on the ship are not off yet, hey there were there forma week don’t they know we are only going to be on the ship 14 days. I am hoping my AADD and dyslexia doesn’t kick in and I show up in my jimmies, wanting to trade pins. We can just tell the security guard we are here for the pre cruise tail gate party, and he is invited.
Note to self, pack cooler of Red Bull to sell at the port.

Linda great to hear the kids are doing well at DL, green with envy we are not there, but the crowds, will make me want to pass. I thing DL will be crowded when we are there the end of this month.

I know a lot of you are getting ready to leave for Disney soon and I just wanted to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to everyone for planning all the great events....I do want to send out a very heartfelt thank you to some special individuals (not that you all aren't special)

Peter & Jenn (Hygiene99) - thank you so much for your absolutely fantastic, over the top, daily updates. I can't believe how many great events we have planned and to have the list daily to see what I've missed or still need to do (I printed it out and took it to work to show my co-workers (it was 10 pages long) and they can't believe all the events we have planned). Also thanks for arranging a group photo.

Jeff & Jen (Tigfanjeff & JenKatt) - where do I begin...the Master Roster. I have just one word...Incredible. Thank you so much for all your hard work. I can't wait to see the door magnets.

Karaeric, AZpirates, Seaulater, Kpros/Spros, DisneyPinDiva, ScottH, Hygiene99, BobandLee, and WebmasterRegina - thanks for making all the name badges and lanyard's - now we'll be able to spot everyone

Kay (KRDisneyBound) - thanks for the latest & greatest Calender listing of events. Very useful. Have it printed and packed with our belongings - don't want to miss anything.

Sandra (SandraLee) - thanks for your excusion lists. It's nice to be able to see that some of your DisBoard friends will be joining you on certain excursions.

Jeff, Jen & TDC Nala - thanks for the T-Shirt Designs...Although I didn't buy one I thought it was a great idea and I can't wait to see you all wearing your shirts!!!!

Kendra (Cotomom) - thanks for taking on the Iron on Patches. Can't wait to see them.

Robin (moocow35) - thanks for taking on the pins. Can't wait to see them.

Laurie (Q's My Princess) - thanks for keeping the list of Pirate Names pirate:

Kara (Karaeric) - thanks for organizing the wine tasting - can't wait to try all the differnt wines and also for organizing Door TAG (we're not playing but I'm sure you guys will have a lot of fun)

Danica (Danicaw) - thanks for looking after the High Tea

Kelli (Kellib36) - Thanks for looking after the "other-than-private-room" Palo Brunch - still keeping my fingers crossed for that

Linda (Seaulater) - thanks for planning the scrapbook class, the Palo Brunch in the private room (try not to be too rowdy!!!), linking main seating dining, our sailaway banner and of course for the mini-Naviagtors!!!!!!

Steve (airtime247) - thanks for linking us late diners - can't wait to dine with all you guys.

TDC Nala - thanks for looking after the book exchange

Kim & Bette (bettemom) - thanks for organizing the scrapbook gift exchange, the counted cross-stitch class, the counted cross stitch gift exchange and the donations for the Mazatlan Orphanages

ImprovGal - can't wait to see "Cruise Line Is It Anyway?" - can't say that I will participate but I will be there to see you all

Lesley (Tink33) - Thanks for REPO - I will definitely be meeting up with you for your Walks around the deck and work outs - gotta make sure those clothes still fit after 14 days!!!

Margaret (mvlmeco) - thanks for joining up us weight loss mates so we can support one another while we're on the cruise.

Scott (Scott H) - how cool a sunken ship at Castaway Cay...be sure to take pictures (if you can) for us beach lovers to see!!!! Also wish I could join your pre-cruise party but I'll still be in Canada (I'll have a drink Friday night and think of you all)

Leslie (DisneyPinDiva) - can't wait to go to the Pin Trading event - never been to one before so look for the "clueless, pin-less person" - that will be me!!!!

HMRGANG - thanks for coordinating a list of teens and tweens...what a great idea. I'm sure a lot of new friendships will be formed.

Ken (kpros) - thanks for organizing the scavenger hunt (just to let everyone know - Robin and I are going to win!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: )

WRH3MD - thanks for organizing the poker & other games

Waltjr - thanks for organizing the entrepreneurs group

Bill (3DAN) - thanks for organizing the room tour - I can't wait to see (read.. drool over) some other categories of room on the ship.

aphoenix - thanks for offering to help with shipping stuff home when we arrive in California

rcostello1 - thanks for trying to get the balcony for Fantasmic. It was a great idea and it would have been so much fun.

Lynda & Cash (Videogal1) - thanks for thinking of and organizing a trip to see The Price is Right while we're in California. I've been taping the show now for the past couple of weeks and brushing up on my American prices and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I hear "Elaine Collingwood come on down!!!!!!!" Still have to think of a cool T-shirt to make (must get right on that - only 7 more days!!!)

NejThe Lion - can't wait to see the video.

Regina (WebmasterRegina) - simply thanks for everything

And a very special thank you to everyone for their really cool sailaway gifts. I can't wait to see them all.

I also want to thank EVERYONE on this message board. I have had so much fun "chatting" with you all since I booked our trip in January and I made my first post on page 178 (we're now at what page 824). You guys all made me feel so welcome and I feel that I already know everyone yet we've never met. I hope we will continue our friendships after the cruise.

I hope I remembered to thank everyone, if I missed anyone, I'm truly sorry but I am so thankful for everything that everyone has done to make this a "trip of a lifetime" for my Mom & I.

Safe travels everyone and we'll see you in 7 days!!!!!

Elaine

"The girls were tired, they had state tests all this week. So, we came back to the hotel and watched the fireworks from the concierge lounge per their requests. UNBELIEVABLE!!! We had the first seats of the lounge as we asked the concierge the best time to get there to get a good seat (30 minutes prior). One lady came right after and appeared to be PO'd that we got the good seats, lol. They pipe in the music/sound in to the concierge lounge. video-taped it through one of the large sliding glass windows which they open for the show. The fireworks are spread out over a wide area, so some fireworks were cropped - still nice. The colors are a bit washed out. Personally, I'd wait to watch this until after you see it in person. As we will not be back to concierge, I'm glad we saw it this way. It is an amazing fireworks show, you will be very pleased."

OH SCOTT H.. :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :umbrella:
