karaeric said:Um...hate to say it, but you're best bet here is to pack for what you want to participate in, not for what DCL's flavor of the day is. Otherwise, you may just go stark raving..well...mad trying to figure this conundrum out.
Those of us on the 10-day holiday cruise will tell you that from day to day, DCL could not keep their story straight as to how many formal and semi-formal nights we would have. We ended up with two formal and one semi-formal, but most people were not expecting that. Personally, we're packing for two formal and two semi-formal. I figure why not? If nothing else, I can wear one of the outfits to Palo.
As for the Pirate/tropical, I'm guessing they mean one of each. They did one of each on the 10-night. I can't imagine they would suddenly combine them for a longer cruise...but then again?
No worries, Mon! That's my motto this time around.![]()

Calling all Rotary Club Members! My father is in Rotary and mentioned the other day that he will be missing three weeks worth of meetings for this trip. He was curious to know if there were other Rotary Club members cruising with us. If there are, he suggested holding a meeting or two on the ship to make up for the missed meetings with your local chapters.
I will be happy to coordinate this effort if there is interest. PM me if you're interested.
Peter, can you add this to your daily updated too? Thanks!

I got a nice thick envelope in the mail today from DCL! I couldn't imagine what it could be? It is the official Westbound Panama Canal Shore Excursions: Your Personal Guide! Gee, this must be for the folks that don't read the DIS boards! LOLAnyway, it is a nice 61 page booklet with color pictures of many of the excursions. Also in there was the Cruise Line Stateroom Gift brochure. I sure wish they would bring back the pillow case, mine is wearing out!
Watch your mailbox everyone!

I just ordered my second 7 tubes because we keep giving it out to family. Takes about 2 weeks to arrive and we're brining some along to keep healthy during our trip.![]()

moocow35 said:Okay, now I'm sold! I've seen this stuff at a store here called Harmon's. I'll have to go and see if they have it. Question...do you take it as a prophylactic, or do you wait until the first symptom like Cold Ease?
Thanks!

We use it as a a prophylatic (American Heritage Dictionary: an agent that used to defend against illness, such as vaccine or drug, not the other definition). Drop one tablet into 4 ounces of water and let dissolve completely (about a minute). Drink. The lemon-lime is superior to the orange flavor.

Kevin&Randall said:I called DCL today to see if I had a stateroom assigned -- no dice.
But I did learn these fun tidbits of information.
Attire
There will be two (2) formal and two (2) semi formal evenings. There will be one (1) pirate/tropical nights. I guess that leaves nine (9) "cruise casual" nights were jeans are allowed in the dining rooms (don't even get me started!)![]()
Food
There are plans to introduce new lunch and dinner menus so that no menu will be repeated during the course of the sailing.![]()
And from what the agent said there is also a new production show to be offered. She didn't have any specifics other than that.
