Good to hear about the gum, will check the local stores. Thanks Muchas.

To update you guys, Dance Dance Revolution is a kids game. It involves a large board which sits on the floor. It is in the appearance of a tic tac toe board. This board is attached to a playstation two and the person follows the commands to place their foot on the appropriate space on the board. It speeds up and the placement arrows follow along with some modern music. Therefore, you end up "DANCING" to the beat of recent music on this board. It appears to be all the rage in the amusement parks and also with playstation II. Billy loves it and wants to bring it. It requires a playstation II, guess we would bring it also unless DCL lets us use the one in the STACK. I have yet to call them and ask them.

Um...hate to say it, but you're best bet here is to pack for what you want to participate in, not for what DCL's flavor of the day is. Otherwise, you may just go stark raving..well...mad trying to figure this conundrum out.

Those of us on the 10-day holiday cruise will tell you that from day to day, DCL could not keep their story straight as to how many formal and semi-formal nights we would have. We ended up with two formal and one semi-formal, but most people were not expecting that. Personally, we're packing for two formal and two semi-formal. I figure why not? If nothing else, I can wear one of the outfits to Palo.

As for the Pirate/tropical, I'm guessing they mean one of each. They did one of each on the 10-night. I can't imagine they would suddenly combine them for a longer cruise...but then again? :rotfl2:

No worries, Mon! That's my motto this time around. :rolleyes1

Ditto...............they are not going to give us a lei to wear around our neck on pirate night with our bandanas! What would they call that?

We're fans of Airborne as well. We can't find it anywhere in the area, always sold out. I just order direct from Airborne. They have a buy 6 get one free deal. I just ordered my second 7 tubes because we keep giving it out to family. Takes about 2 weeks to arrive and we're bringing some along to keep healthy during our trip.

Okay, it may be time for another LIST!:cheer2:

Calling all Rotary Club Members! My father is in Rotary and mentioned the other day that he will be missing three weeks worth of meetings for this trip. He was curious to know if there were other Rotary Club members cruising with us. If there are, he suggested holding a meeting or two on the ship to make up for the missed meetings with your local chapters.

I will be happy to coordinate this effort if there is interest. PM me if you're interested.

Peter, can you add this to your daily updated too? Thanks!

I noticed on the Navigators for the 10 day cruise that they had a time on one of the last sea days for Service Club and fraternal organizations to get together in the Promenade Lounge. So I am sure there will be others aboard.

Did anyone see Extreme Home Makeover last night? They had Mickey as a Construction worker and helpers from Disney VoluntEars helpd to remodel a hospital. As always it was a tear jerker. Tonight they will show "How did they do that". I want the hard hats they were wearing!!

I have 58 days 13 hours to go!!!!

Hi everyone! :wave2:

I got a nice thick envelope in the mail today from DCL! I couldn't imagine what it could be? It is the official Westbound Panama Canal Shore Excursions: Your Personal Guide! Gee, this must be for the folks that don't read the DIS boards! LOL :disrocks: Anyway, it is a nice 61 page booklet with color pictures of many of the excursions. Also in there was the Cruise Line Stateroom Gift brochure. I sure wish they would bring back the pillow case, mine is wearing out! :teeth: Watch your mailbox everyone!

Okay, now I'm sold! I've seen this stuff at a store here called Harmon's. I'll have to go and see if they have it. Question...do you take it as a prophylactic, or do you wait until the first symptom like Cold Ease?

Thanks!

From the Airborne container -- can be used two ways. At the first sign of a cold symptom, or before entering crowded environments, like airplanes and offices. Adults use one full tablet. Children can take 1/2 tablet.

We use it as a a prophylatic (American Heritage Dictionary: an agent that used to defend against illness, such as vaccine or drug, not the other definition). Drop one tablet into 4 ounces of water and let dissolve completely (about a minute). Drink. The lemon-lime is superior to the orange flavor.

We think it works better than Cold-Eze and certinally tastes better. We have also tried "Emergen-C" which we found at Walgreens. It comes in pouches and also dissolves in water. It was easy to do Emergen-C in the morning and Airborne at night. Just to keep the cold/flu bug guessing what was coming into our system.

OK - I will volunteer to coordinate a list of "tweeners" (and teens, if they want to be included) with interests and room # so these kids can seek out new friends who might want to play GameCube, share mp3's, play basketball, etc. If you want to, just PM me and I will keep a running list to be posted before we sail. The kids can print it out for reference.
Just to get it started, I have a 12 yrs. old son Michael who loves Ipods,:music: Gameboy DS, any video game, and loves to get together with others to hang out. He will be in Rm. 8052. I also have a 16 yrs. old Kelsey who would love to meet some girls her age so she isn't STUCK with her boring parents :rolleyes2 and siblings throughout the cruise! Kelsey loves reading, singing, playing guitar :rockband:(lots of luck getting THAT on the ship),and is a Survivor and American Idol fan.
(I've got to get the VCR in shape so I don't miss the finale of "24" - the best show on tv!)::yes::

We got ours today too!

I thought it was pretty good timing - didn't someone say we are right at 60 days out?
I called this morning to make a quick change on one of our excursions and got in quicker that I ever have before - was able to make the change I wanted and had the fax confirmation within just a few minutes.

I called DCL today to see if I had a stateroom assigned -- no dice. :(

But I did learn these fun tidbits of information.

Attire
There will be two (2) formal and two (2) semi formal evenings. There will be one (1) pirate/tropical nights. I guess that leaves nine (9) "cruise casual" nights were jeans are allowed in the dining rooms (don't even get me started!)

Food
There are plans to introduce new lunch and dinner menus so that no menu will be repeated during the course of the sailing. :Pinkbounc

And from what the agent said there is also a new production show to be offered. She didn't have any specifics other than that.

:earsboy:

I was kinda hoping for 2 Pirate Nights!
Well, maybe it means, 1 pirate night and 1 tropical night. The tropical night could be when you all wear your grass skirts.

Just got word from someone in my family - name I can't say - they might be reading this - when I go to S.C. on 3/23, they are giving me a family reunion "Birthday Party". (B/day was on March 1st).

AND my brother is going to buy a pig and roast it for us in his backyard. He does that all the time for his friends also.

I LIKE A GOOD PIG ROAST...............

Now that sounds like a party to me. He was going to surprise me on 3/1, but I had to cancel and could not go then - but he didn't know it at that time.

OH WELL, I can party three weeks late..

Dr. would not give me anything for my cold because of other medications I am taking - so it has to run its course.

I didn't know you can order Airborne online! Thanks for the tip!!! That will definitely make life easier. I went to CVS today. It was on back order. I told them to put me down for some when they came in... "No, we don't do that!" :rotfl2:

I will go on line!!! Kevin... you can have my extra lime ones... the ORANGE is definitely... what did you say... superior!!! :rotfl2: I can't stand the lime, but will buy it if that's the only choice.

I got my excursion booklet from DU too! Will definitely take a look tonight. DU tried to get my $50 stateroom credit, but DCL won't give it to me (...yet) because we booked the cruise on 2 different Disney Visas - mine + my DH! Go Figure! DL is going back to DCL to see what can be done. :wizard:

The Airborne wars have begun!

I've never tried it, but see it at the checkout counter of the local Walgreens all the time. (seems I'm always running there to pick up some last minute school supply or another for the kids)

Guess I'll have to get both flavors and do my own taste test.

Scott-
Was just listening to Sirius Vacation channel 97.
The announcer said "You'd look good in a cococnut bra". I think he was talking to you. :rotfl:

I forgot how neat that channel was. No I didn't buy it. Doing the free online trial. First song--Jimmy Buffett's WDWGD Live from Boston. I may end up buying the danged thing yet.
