Welcome Kay and Angela! I know it's a little overwhelming at first, but you'll catch up real fast. Ask any questions you like, we don't expect you to go back and read over 300 pages (except for Scott, he has way too much free time on his hands!)

You'll want to make sure email Jeff and Jen (tiggerfanjeff and jenkatt) with your stateroom numbers and pictures so they can post. It's on the daily update list where to go. We have lanyards and name tags for everyone so we don't want to miss making yours!

Also, we are playing Mickey "tag". It's fun and doesn't take any work on your part, just PM Karaeric so she can put you on the list.

Okay, I think you'll understand the daily updates as time goes on. My mom (anxioustotravel) was a little overwhelmed when I sent her a daily update, but once I explained a couple of things, she has gotten into the hang of it.

Welcome aboard Disney's 1st Kingdom to Kingdom Cruise!

Cat 4-12 available, still wonder why us GTY folks have yet to get a stateroom number?

I was thinking the same thing. Just went to check my ressie this morning and still in an undisclosed mystery location. Oh well, it works for me - we'll be onboard somewhere!

Welcome to the new cruisers!

 WELCOME ANGELA + KAY

Looks like you've been welcomed in full swing :wave2: and filled in on how to "catch up" quickly! Info to Jenkatt and read Hygiene99 daily updates!

Ask away with any questions. You'll get plenty of answers! :rotfl:

Kay, so glad you'll be coming on this cruise too. I'm used to reading your posts on the DVC Fall Member Cruise.

Videogal1 GREAT countdown! I love the dog! Will Cash be jealous? The dog on your counter is white...

The time is ticking, or shoud I say sanding away! :hourglass

Thanks to everyone for all the warm welcomes! I feel like I'm starting to get into the swing of things now. I've ordered pins from Lynda, we're on the Master List, and next I'm going to get our ressie linked so we can eat dinner with you all late diners.

It's so much fun to think we'll already have built-in friends before we even step on the ship! :flower:

Welcome Angela, Susan, Liz and Harry! :cool1: Four more brave souls to join our group!!

Check out Peter's list for getting your pirate names and then PM me with them. I know, just one more thing to do! But, arrrrrrrrrr! it's going to fun!! pirate: pirate:

Hi Sandra! Norcross? Wow, we're practically next-door neighbors! Thanks for the welcome. Have you gotten your plane tickets yet to fly back home after the cruise? We're flying back on Memorial Day and got tickets on Delta for $134 out of LAX!!!

Welcome Angela, Susan, Kay & Harry.... Glad you are joining us!:wizard:

Okay... wanted to check in...now I've got to figure out how to fix my sig. That should keep me busy until we cruise...LOL
I need vB or whatever for DUMMIES.

Angela, I booked FF tickets ages ago. I was too afraid to wait and risk the pricing. In fact, I sort of took a gamble on the Frequent Flyer tickets, because we almost had to cancel. But, looks like we are a go!

We are on Delta into MCO on Friday, May 13 and out of LAX on May 28. We couldn't stay any longer. I sort of figured after 2 weeks out we will want to be home.

It is cool knowing others are so close around here. Someone posted a couple of weeks ago from Norcross, too. I thought they had kids the same age as mine, but I haven't seen them recently.

How did you 'just decide' to make the trip?

Sandra, we actually didn't just now decide to go. We booked last May. But my sister Susan started a new temp-to-perm job a few months ago, and we were afraid her employer may not let her go for such a long time. But she's about to be made permanent, and she has a wonderful boss who has agreed to let her go! Yay! That's why we're only just booking our plane tickets now - we just got the go-ahead from her boss a couple of weeks ago.

Our dad is driving us to Florida on Friday the 13th (yikes! that date scares me!), then Susan and I will fly back from CA after doing 1.5 days at Disneyland. And yes, we'll definitely be ready to go home after that!!!

I too saw that there was another family from Norcross. Someone with the screen name dd3rover who has 3 kids.

Watch out everyone! The Atlanta Suburbanites are coming!!! :goodvibes

Hi cruisers:
I'm getting into this now with only 2 months to go for this cruise. So excited.
Made my reservations back home from LAX to Ft. Lauderdale and it was only $114 for each of us. Super great price. And no stop overs, straight through. I booked it before I lost it
Thank everyone for their kind suggestions and help so far. Everything will fall into place.
Even have my pirates' names picked out - guess costumes come next. pirate:
Now all I have to do basically is tell DH when he returns from his bowling trip in LA. Ugh!!!!!

Whew... okay... got the new ticker.... isn't there one with DAYS anywhere?? Maybe I'll just add it in everyday... HA HA :rotfl2:

Finally got the doggie reservations made. Tink and Woody will be attending obedience boot camp for 2 of the weeks we are gone....figured we were paying for the boarding anyway so adding in the training was not much more since the boarding is included in that fee. I'm still paying almost as much for the three of them to board as I am for the cruise.... $$$$
Lucky Lynda you get to bring Cash along... maybe I could train my three as MENTAL disability dogs..... I'd need a Cat 3 at least for the litter box.......

Take this for what it is worth... but I would hope the Reservation folks are fairly honest with each other.

For those of us in GTY limbo -- and I know there are lots of us -- our answers may come about March 15. I was talking to DVC Member Services today (and why I didn't write down her name I'll never know :sad2: ), but she said she has learned that a group has to confirm or cancel their space in early March. After that DCL should have a pretty good idea of who is fully paid and who is going to cancel (or be cancelled for lack of full payment). Once that is established, let the assignments begin!

I'm still out of luck because I can't view my reservation on line since we booked via DVC. They are treated like a travel agency and therefore anything about the booking has to be funneled through them. We probably won't know our stateroom number until we get our final documents in the mail. OUCH.

Randall
:earsboy:

Thanks for the info, Randall. That date would make sense since full payment is required 60 days out. DCL will know for sure who's sailing then, and they'll be free to start assigning staterooms! Let the fun begin! :)

I agree with Randall - when final payment is due - there will be more rooms open and we will be assigned rooms at that time.
But we must wait and be patient - ugh!!! :badpc:

Leslie-I agree with you on the tickers (well, and the mental disability too!), I liked the old ones better. Guess I need to go ask Mark and Mary to find us better tickers for us!
