Kara, Take a true bearing of 94' and go about 2710 miles and there ya are. :)

A little antsy, well yes, we are. Thank goodness we have a trip planned in two weeks. :cool1: Work will be nuts for the next two weeks so we wil really be ready.

I dread being away from the board here as I know lots will be happening and the catchup will be Hurculean.

Okay, so here's another way to think of the countdown to the trip - we have 15 weekends between now and when we leave Port Canaveral. I usually start plotting things out by weekend about now because, for instance, we will be out of town for three of those weekends. I have a baby shower on another weekend, and the baby is due in early March, so there goes another weekend. Whew! Already down by 5 of the 15! And, learning from the last trip, I will reserve the last two weekends before the trip for packing and doing last minute prep work for the trip. Otherwise, we'll be as disorganized as last time, and that ain't happenin'. :hourglass

Just an FYI, Jeff called yesterday to DCL to link dining ressies and asked about booking shore excursions. Per the CM, you can not book shore excursions at the 90 day mark unless you are paid in full....

karaeric I just started my planning calendar yesterday. I have a couple of business trips and a personal trip and two jobs to keep track of. I scheduled in hair cuts to get one to too early but not too late since we'll be gone 3 weeks, also some spa time before the cruise, and tanning time cause i'm not showing up as a ghost :). Added in dry cleaner deadlines and packing, etc. Packing will be done a week before we travel or else you are no longer welcome on our cruise :) hehe.

We haven't even thought about it yet. We managed to do Australia for a month for our honeymoon, have everything we needed and packed the day before before we got married (that's 2 days before, but I was to lazy to backspace and retype it). So in other words, we'll pack a few days before, make do if we forget anything, but make sure we have room for the bottles of fun! and Twister. Can't forget the Twister.

It's really nice here today. In the low 70's, clear skies, the world's fastest dilapitated ice cream truck flying past the front window.... no really, I've never seen this guy stop, he just does about 35-40 mph through our neighborhood. No kid has a chance to get anything. The thing looks like it is falling apart. He plays his music sped up too, so it really seems like he's flying... crazy man crazy  :moped: :scratchin

ACK! :scared1: Thank you, forgot about the business trip! Yep, got one of those too. And the calendar gets shorter...

Really, the worst part about the business trip is that I tend to use my cruise clothes because the conferences always take place at some desert resort (READ - somewhat of a boondoggle). This year it's in Palm Desert, CA, near Palm Springs. And the dress is "resort casual." Hmm...but it's only about 5 weeks before the cruise, so I may have to rethink my business trip wardrobe. Shopping!!!! Yahoo!

:scratchin Jen, Are you sure it's an IceCream truck???

It's got Good Humor stickers on the side, the side window, and plays ice cream truck music, so it's it quacks like a duck and smells like a duck... it's gotta be an ice cream truck? Jeff can vouch for me on this one!

I got a PM about the door magents, just wanted to clarify that they are the sailaway gift from me and Jeff. There is no need to pay us for them. For those of you who haven't done these group sailings, it's traditional to have sailaway "gifts" for your cruisemates. I still have all the pens from Cruisetoberfest II. Just little things to give to people at sailaway. So the magents are ours.....
Just FYI

Jen, Just the nature of my avocation.

What kinda numbers should we plan on for sail a way goodies?

It may be what you're looking for, savvy??

JenKatt - I think I sent you an e-mail with a picture and updated info, but it hasn't been updated - did I send it to the wrong address and it's floating around in cyber space (quite probable)? If so, can you send me the correct e-mail address to send it to? Thanks!!

I will probably put my thinking cap on and try to come up with another name.

2 Dirty Morgan Rackhams on the SAME Pirate Ship?? pirate: pirate: Too funny! :rotfl2:
Georgie

Hey Georgie, do you think we possibly answered the questions the same way? (Great minds think alike  ) LOL I tried some of the other name sites and got quite a few other choices. Now I just have to make up my mind. I am torn between VooDoo Elizabeth, and Brunhilda Pink Toe pirate: That is pretty funny though :rotfl2:

Robin (pirate name undecided)

Hi Lynn

Not sure if any of these are near you... but... I was able to get a great deal at Dress Barn. Also Dillards has some deals. Those larger stores have great sales right now to liquidate the holiday dresses. Online sometimes Chadwicks has some bargains.

And I actually bought one of mine on ebay.

Good luck!!

When some of the earliest pirate dudes on the 10-day started collecting names there were a lot of Rackhams, as I recall.....Must be a HUGE family.....

Hi Lynn! I've purchased one so far from eBay for $25.00. The seller is roxannesrunway, I highly recommend them. Still shopping for another....

Robin

Thanks for your suggestions, will keep trying ebay, have dealt with Chadwicks several times, they just don't have anything interesting at this point, and we do not live near any of the big stores, but we will try overstock.com also. Your suggestions are much appreciated, I have not had much luck with the catalogues I usually buy out of (everything much too casual). Lynn
