We called and talked to the formal wear company (am I allowed to post their URL link?). The cost for the 14-day cruise for a "Black and While" combination tuxedo package is $120. That includes one pair of pants, one black jacket, one white jacket, two shirts, one cummerbund and tie and one set of cufflinks. Shoes can be rented for $12. Colored vest and tie are $15.

Sorry ladies, no options for you.

Speaking of other costs, we found out that the gratuity recommendation for the 14-day sailing is $152.50 per person.

I have a proposal for the group. What if we have two get togethers instead of just one on the first day. First, for those that get on board early, I would propose we have a Dis Meet at 3:00pm on Deck 10 Starboard side overlooking the Goofy pool. At that point, people who want to get together to say hello can and we can hand out name badges and lanyards at that time for those that are around. Then, we break for the safety drill at 4:00pm and return for the Sail-away party in the same location after the drill and party until we drop.

I know I would really like to meet and talk prior to the noise of the Sail-away party.

Anyone have an opinion on that proposal (yeah right, like no one here has an opinion - )

I second that motion Ken... it worked well on the 10 day... I just have to have plenty of time to eat my embarkation SHRIMP!!

As far as the sailaway parties... We're a large group, and it is difficult to hear once the party starts, so, meeting before hand does make sense, but I would hate to see the initial kick off "get together" for everyone start off separately...

Looks like our lists are GROWING!!!

So the prices are the same as if it were a 7-day cruisel. That works for me. I hate packing all those shoes. I have black and brown formal sandals for every other night of the week .

We will leave the Hyatt MCO at 9:15AM on the 14th. Do you think it will be okay. Scott H, weren't you looking to upgrade to a cat 3? Did you get called or am I mistaken? Lynda,, videogal, we will be staying at the Hyatt with you guys. However, We won't get in until late, say around 7-7:30.
Also, where is the site for pirate names? We need to go there. Finally,,,,,
The principal who encouraged us to go and gave us permission to get out of school the last two weeks, was killed in a tragic car accident Saturday. He was guiding Billy personally due to Billy's young age in the seventh grade. Please say a prayer for Scott Bostick of Traders Point Christian Academy in Indianapolis, Indiana. We are having trouble dealing with it.

Morning Bill- We also took Southern Elegance. The port security made our driver park until about 9:15, and finally they begrudgingly let him drop us off. Then port security proceeded to give us a hard time about being there so early. Bottom line? I would try to move your drop time to 9:30 to 9:45. You will have much less of a chance of getting yelled...unless you don't mind that part!

I also agree with Ken for a couple of reasons. If we met at 4, we would only get to be there for a couple of minutes before we had to go to cabins for our life vests and life boat drill. Second, if there really is a shuttle launch, I suspect I know where most people's priorities would lie... Not that I would blame anyone! I would be there too!

I vote for starting our boarding day meet at 3pm. That way we get time to chat and actually meet before all the hustle and bustle of the lifeboat drill and the sailaway party.
