Hello all,

Just wanted to check in. I am back from 10 days at WDW and trying to get caught up on work. It is crazy here...AND...I still have one trip to TX and another 2 week business trip to London before I get to escape on the magic...sigh.....

You guys have been chatty, so it took me a while to catch up! I will try to come by chat as well.

I have no idea how I will get it all done...that 7 weeeks seems really short when I am spending 3 of those weeks travelling...YIKES! I am getting so excited though. It will be here before we know it!!

OK, so heres a question for ya....since I am working them....the sailaway gift....I know there was talk a while back about how people were going to distribute them. I know our girls would like to hand them out to those that we see at the sailaway party, but how do you keep track of who you have given them to (we have so many in our group) or do you just give until they are gone? If we deliver to the fish, is there a chance that someone other than the intended recipient would take it? I am sure I am probably worrying about it all too much. I appreciate any more guidance from those who have participated in something like this before.

Hmm, would it be possible to somehow label them? Maybe put the gift in a little baggie or something and have sticky labels on them or names written on the outside? Names and room numbers? That way you'd know after the sailaways which rooms to leave them at. As for people taking them off the fish, all we can hope is that no one will be that mean. I'd have to assume that those would be kids (although some adults are pretty stupid), and hopefully, they'll be too busy that early in the cruise to be looking for ways to get into trouble.

Michelle, wow, sounds like you will be very busy in the next 7 weeks! I have only one short trip down to Tallahassee next month to check on construction, and see my DD's first show she is assistant stage managing.

I have thought long and hard on the sailaway gift subject, and I have the exact same feelings as you. Due to the volume of people we will have at these parties, I think it will be too chaotic to pass them out there. I am leaning towards the bag in the fish route, but I like you am also worried about some kid walking by and taking it. What my plan (for now) is, since I have one gift per stateroom plus extra's for those who are sharing with a non family member, is to bag them with stateroom numbers. If I don't mail them down in advance, I will pass out in the terminal as I meet people. Then will do the "fish" delivery as I can between making reservations, eating and drinking. *subject to change* LOL I still don't know if I am taking delivery of the pins or not, as I have not heard from Susan. If I have them, then I will certainly hand deliver each and every one of those. I can do the sailaway gift right along with the pin delivery!

moocow..we are a bit concerned about people taking the gift bags we made up off the fish as well. I too am printing the name/room number on the front tag for the bag. Hopefully there won't be any bag stealing from the fish.

Are the people who are doing goodies doing them from the master list? I hadn't originally planned on doing one, but now that I am on the list I would feel bad getting all of these little things and not giving any. It will be a fight with my southern heritage not to send thank you notes! If you are doing gifts, how many?

Emily.... Rob, Kendra , and I are giving the goodies based on the master list. I personally am not expecting any notes from anyone at all. I just want to have some fun. I hope that everyone on the list does not give out gifts as it would create a big mess of extra presents. I am concerned as it is about giving out the things now. How will we possibly hand out 75-100 bags of anything and yet still get to socialize and watch the sail away. I counted the other day and thought there were 18 people doing give aways. That is alot.
Other opinions? I plan on having my kids help us out in addition to helping out videogal1, Lynda, with my family or daughter , Kristen(puppies101).

I am planning on shipping my give aways to the ship because I don't want to have to pack and carrry all of them. If the box arrives to my room prior to the sail-away party, I am going to put them out and everyone is on the honor system to take the one with their name and/or state room number on it. I thought I'd take any bags not taken at the sail-away party and/or if they box didn't arrive in time to the wine tasting party. Hopefully between the two, most will get distributed and I will only have to have the Zazu crew deliver a couple.

All mine are labled with a stateroom number tag or, in case of the "lifeboat crew", screen names. I am going to ship them all down so they'll be in my stateroom. I'll haul a load to each sailaway party and set them out on a table, if I can find one available and my magical volunteers and I will work from there. I'm hoping people will drop by and say hi to Cash and I. The goodies are in brown paper bags with loop handles like miniature shopping bags and stapled shut so they won't empty during shipping. If we don't find you at the party, we can use the looped handle to hang the bag either on the fish, or the door handle, if the fish is busy. I think the bags will be large enough to be able to hold pins, patches, shirts, door magnets or whatever other surprises are being distributed so, if it works, there'll only be one thing to hang onto at the parties.... So far I've got eighty some bags with all manner of goodies inside...hardly any of the bags are alike... This is such fun...

The gifts that Regina and I are working on will be delivered to the fish also. I want to enjoy the sailaway party and not worry about passing out each gift. I think we may need to contact DCL and have them replace our stateroom fish with whales.

ok Here is what has worked in the Past With gifts that
are not specific for each person...

At Sailaway parties they have been placed on the table and people have helped themselves.....After party gift went back to cabin with each cruiser that brought them..

If someone did not make the party and Saw that Joe Brought Really Cool gold Bars, for every one that cruiser would then, Find Joe and arrange to get the gift.

Since deck 6 has alot of Dis folks I would not be to worried but other decks I Would not advise to leave.. on the Fish But would however look for the StateRoom Person. And ask them to Put inside the stateroom..

Here is the plan:

One BIG Mini-DisBoard Navigator, to be handed out in DCL terminal and if we don't meet up then, it will be on your fish (whale).

Each night, I will make up a one page "update/changes" if needed, and one will be posted on each floor at the door of the "stateroom volunteer".

So................Zazu's crew will not need to go to every door every night. There might be one or two "special" deliveries during the cruise, but I will arrange prior to with Zazu's crew.

Hope that clears things up.

We are now at the movie theater waiting to see Miss Congeniality II and am checking in on the important stuff.

Im glad to hear others had the same thoughts as me...I worry about mischievous people/kids without parental supervision with things hanging from doors.....

I am still not sure how we will deal with this. I, too, want to be able to enjoy hanging out, meeting everyone, having a nice drink of the day and just enjoying the moment...we will figure it out....

Maybe we will deliver ours later into the cruise or something. I dont know. Well, 7 weeks to figure it out!!

Still Feel That DISNEY CRUISE LINE : Will alter the Route.

Some folks are staying at 2 of the most stayed at resorts at the Port
Ron Jons and the Radisson, no official meets have been Set up as of yet but Look for folks all day around the pool area's also several others at the Airport hyatt and plans are in works.

Attire, = There will be two (2) formal and two (2) semi formal evenings. There will be one (1) pirate(1)tropical nights. I guess that leaves nine (9) "cruise casual" nights were jeans are allowed in the dining rooms (don't even get me started!)

Food = There are plans to introduce new lunch and dinner menus so that no menu will be repeated during the course of the sailing.

Entertainment = A new production show to be offered. Called " Twice Charmed ". Cinderella themed Stage Show.

Donald Ducky Williams, will be onboard and we will recieve 2 Lithographs
1 for going on the cruise and one for going thru the canal.
This has been said on other cruises by DDW .

Canal Party = All seas travel, is hosting a party in the Roy Suite the day of the Canal crossing . for its customers. You can do better than that..

Return Cruisers Gift = It is rumored that there is a new gift not a beach towel as on past Cruise's.
